Hey Jeff, I just want to say thank you. I've been battling depression lately and I use to just watch your ats videos back to back and I seen the notifications for this one and it reminded me of better times. You're the reason I downloaded ats and fivem. And helped me get thru my last depression "episode". I doubt you'll see this but if you do keep up the videos it does more than just entertain some people.

I got myself a shifter, TrackIR, and I have a ASP Heavy Hauler button box that should be on its way soon, I know they take up to a couple of months to ship, but it's worth the wait for that immersion factor. Only reason I got all these things is because you showcase how immersive they are, so thank you for opening up a whole side of simulation I had no idea about. Keep it up! I don't think the Motion Platform is my sort of thing, I definitely dont have the kind of setup that's compatible with it, but nonetheless I'm glad you've enjoyed it. Excited to see that TruckersMP stream vod, and hope the house hunting is going well

Am I the only person who adjusts those blind spot mirrors OUT as far as possible? I believe it's better to see in my blind spot more then anything. I recommend that Jeff.
That is odd that the truck doesn't have a zillon light options. The motion chair might be interesting if ATS simulates the sloshing of liquid in tanks.

Hey Jeff, hope all is well. I found this on the SCS forums. This is a snippet that changes some parameters in the game. I'll copy it below, but basically go into Steam, right click on American Truck Simulator and click Properties. Click Set Launch Options and copy this line in there. It's helped me out some. It might help you. This snippet is from a post by Cip.
-mm_pool_size 4000 -mm_max_resource_size 50 -mm_max_tmp_buffers_size 1000
if you have 16 Gb or RAM or more you can try -mm_pool_size 8000, it works for me and even better it removed all lag that I had before ! :D
I also use True Mirror FOV for ATS and ETS2. If you use the sound fixes pack you wanna get the version of True Mirror FOV that's compatible with the sound fixes pack. Then, you gotta have True Mirror in a higher load priority than sound fixes.

I deal with these trailers every day IRL. Except I carry Plastic pellets and PVC Powder. They get vacuumed out of Railcars
I used to cart waste water in a gas tanker similar, no baffles in the trailer. Two gears smooth as possible from a stop and it would roll back and forth and the drivers seat would smash you in your back. No fun at all
The last part of your trip on 80 is my morning commute to work it was really cool to see how some areas were very familiar 😀

I use Grimes's Real Company & Trailers Pack v2.0. I haven't had any crashes with it so far.

If only a game can capture the painful parts of trucking like carrying 60 tons of sand up a steep hill with horrible road miss a gear you Ethier run back or completely destroy your diff or even losing brakes down a hill

OBS Studio uses a lot of resources to record. At least that's been my experience. I was getting a bunch of stuttering while recording iRacing in VR, so I opened task manager and noticed cpu and gpu spikes while recording. I switched to dual monitor recording using nvidia overlay (the monitor on my desk for recording, the monitor on my cockpit for iRacing app while in vr) and didn't have any issues. I haven't used OBS since.

Stuttering is HDR and AA, disable both. I can run ultra settings as long as those two settings are off; AMD 8350 and rx470.

Is ATS available on Steam? And what is your setup? I have a Ryzen 7 1700, recently upgraded with 32GB Crucial Ballistix, M.2 SSD and ASUS TUF Gaming GTX1650 Super 4GB OC. Will that run ATS? Drove OTR 4 years and was assigned a 386 for my first solo trucking job. Loved that rig, and loved the life, but severe asthma forced me out. Game looks great, truck looks great, but I sure wish people would get with the program, though, and realize it's "Peterbilt", not "Peterbuilt". Thought it might be to avoid copyright, but they got it right on the steering wheel, misspelled it on the splash guards.

I just got the Kenworth K100 mod and the truck looks great, I love it.... but there's no engine or horn. that's unfortunate, but i pretend that its an electric semi and appreciate all the other sounds! I finally expanded to Utah, and will be branching out to the other states DLCs. um, any recommendations on how i can fix the sound glitch? or would it be fixed magically the next time i get on?

Each video I keep hoping you have found a solution to the stuttering. For me, its made it so I feel like playing a lot less. The replay value is in the newer states and the constant stutters are driving me crazy.

Do you do anything to your graphics? I have almost a top of the line GPU but my game doesn't look half as good as yours, even with everything in the graphic settings on ultra + graphics mods
There's a permanent issue with frame stutters in Boise.
Ever since 1.36 came out I was having massive frame drops when I was in cities.. I upgraded my GPU when the game was on 1.35 and it was a smooth 60fps everywhere.. I don’t understand what caused the drops it’s so annoying

Also, modded trucks can cause stuttering, especially if they're not well optimized.
You think stutters are bad when I pickup a load, drive a modded truck and when I pause the game it crashes

Why does your ats loon so much sharper and cleaner than mine? I have all the same mods, and all my graphics are on medium-high, but your reflections all look brighter, the paint looks shinier, and your textures like your speedometer are all cleaner and easier to read. Any tips?
