City Of London Police Traffic Stop!! Police Get Owned!! Audit Fail!!

  • While driving through London the Police decided that waiting in a queue of traffic wasn't for them and decided to drive down the wrong side of the road onto oncoming traffic directly towards my vehicle without the use of their lights or sirens.
When I challenged them, they decided to pull me over citing a so-called public order offence with some select language allegedly being said.
The excuse of looking for someone who may have required their assistance doesn't hold merit as the pavement on my side of the road was closed and there was no public access due to construction works.
Once again, another example of the Police thinking that the law or the highway code doesn't apply to them.

They can break road traffic rules without their blues and twos, in the duty of their job, IF it would be counter productive to use the lights and sirens. So if they were covertly following someone they could break rules to stay with them without their lights on because obviously turning them on would draw attention. My guess is that a suicidal person is the go to answer for them in this situation as they can say the lights/sirens would panic them and cause them to jump off the bridge. Don't forget RTA163 is constable in uniform can stop a vehicke, you do not have to give details under that stop. It's RTA164 or RTA165 that you must produce licence insurance etc., like many other things they frequently get this wrong.

    Spot on my man.
ALL blue light training teaches every single blue light vehicle has to operate within the law of the roads.
Fire engines and ambulances travel at the speed for the road with lights on it allows progression through traffic.
Police are not exempt regardless of excuse.

A police officer CAN be a complainant re a Public Order offence however they have a significantly higher level of tolerance than a member of the public - swearing at them won't be considered as an offence in other words.

Only minor criticism I have is you handing the license over instead of showing it against the window but fully understandable under the circumstances. Everything else spot on. Nice work with the public order the moment you said where's the complainant he gave up.

Funny how in an apparent emergency that required them to do something as dangerous as driving the wrong way down the road, potentially risking the lives of pedestrians and motorists alike but was somehow not enough of an emergency to require emergency lights, they still found time to immediately abort that mission to pull you over and harass and reprimand you instead. Unmatched police logic.

What is it with these idiots that go out just to get reactions from Police and Security etc.
“You are not exempt from the law” hmmmm I think you will find they are. Road traffic act.
“You can not be a complainant for a public order” hmmmm yes they can. There is case law for that.
“You should have had your lights on” hmmmm, nope they don’t have to. There is nothing in the Road Traffic act to stipulate lights must be used for Police EXEMPTIONS.
Why don’t you get a hobby chap.

There is no law that says that a member of the public can't be rude or aggressive towards a police officer if an officer or officers have acted outside the boundaries of the law then there is ample reason why a person might become irate hostile aggressive and agitated and aggrieved they all stick together and make shit up as they go along that is why there are people who are aggressive hostile towards them if you have been overly targeted and blackmailed by these fraudulent people on numerous occasions I can understand why members of the public are aggressive towards them none of them know what it is like to be in a position at the time of being harassed abused targeted and every member of the public has been targeted by these individuals at certain intervals including myself where intimidation threats of kidnap abduction imprisoning someone is there to see they aren't any of your friends they are in tandem and in favour of the prosecution they want people to coerce themselves or incriminate themselves into wrongdoing so no one should feel sorry for these sad low verminous scum
