Join us as we #OptOutside in Central Oregon for Black Friday on our Thanksgiving weekend. We find a great spot, get creeped out and move on twice!
It's hard to avoid consumerism in this hobby. We do all need a basic level of gear to be prepared and safe. But it's still possible to make the effort and try to contribute to being a positive example.
Get out and reconnect with nature! Where there's a will, there's a way to do it without $50k in gear.

We were only a few days ahead of the next system. We hit around the same area this weekend, and there is a LOT of new snow!

We've had more than our fair share of questionable after dark encounters. Most of the time it's just someone looking for a spot way later than they should be, but it's never not unnerving!

We actually haven't had many. I don't have anything concrete to attribute to the bad vibes at the first camp, and we actually came up with an explanation for what the car near the second camp did, but the video probably would have been twice as long just to explain it 😂. Thanks for watching!

The short answer is no, the long answer involves what kind of gun, where and how you keep it, and if you have a concealed carry permit or not. I highly recommend looking up the pertinent information for your state, and even potentially at the county level for full information.
