I’ve surfed my v7 in some 6 foot beach breaks and I found that tilting the ski to one side or another and leaning well out with at least 45deg brace seemed to give me more control and less broaching. Probably not ideal, but seems to suit the boat and my skill level. Nice to see you up and about with a smile big fella 🙏
