I am still upset they didn't give us a punisher figure. They even said during the campaign they weren't going to do punisher, who is my favorite Marvel character. I still can't wait for my pledge to come in. I went all in. I will be using a hero clix punisher and making homebrew rules for him as well.
Missed opportunity? Yes. But according to Michael Shinall in an interview about DCeased (yes I know) he brought up how Marvel restricted certain characters like Punisher, Zombie Spider-Man, and Zombie Black Panther. So it's not really CMON's fault.
Can’t wait for this! Really love the first core box. I am a bit sad that this box doesn’t have a “this happens when you roll a one” and “if you end your turn at max hunger this happens”, because those are such cool mechanics. How do you feel about the Heroes scenarios vs the zombie ones? Is there enough cool stuff going on that you didn’t miss that push your luck of the hunger track?
Oh, yeah! The fact that you have to spend power as a currency for effects is really cool. Also, the fact that you have to spend power to roll more dice very much feels like push you luck. Each mode is great and has its own unique charm!
It would actually be the other way around. You would need marvel zombies to mix with heroes resistance and then you could play both heroes and zombies that way
And the components you need to play the other version are zombie traits, bystander cards for when they get devoured, and the spawning deck for agents of shield.
Yes if you just want to play hero mode you can use those. If you get heroes resistance and the base marvel zombies you can play both modes. There are no zombie trait cards or shield spawn cards/non-zombie enemies if you go the X-Men/HR route.
I was on the fence about Marvel Zombies and picked up the cheaper Marvel Zombies Heroes Resistance. That version has Spider-Man. I didn't like that the base version of MZ you played as zombies.
Not a fan of Zombicide or Marvel stuff - I enjoy your reviews even if it's of a game in which I have no interest - but I'm really confused... ...can Zombie Psylocke still use her psychic powers with a zombified brain? If that's not explained - 0/10, worst game ever.

Yeah. You really need a Punisher figure here for sure. Maybe down the line.
Totally agree such a glaring miss, I know it’s Marvel/Disney’s fault but still needs to be rectified.
I want a frank en castle.

Couldn't agree more that this one is worth a buy. I love how cinematic it can feel. Some of the stretch goal heroes are my favorite to play as.
Still need to get some of those to the table.
Odd they wouldn't allow a Zombie Spider-Man, who was one of the first Marvel Zombies in the comics.
Right?

Awesome! Exactly what I hoped to hear!
Great review, i really like the game and how cinematic it can get, also how you can push with storm or move players with magneto !
Yeah, it’s awesome.
Could I get the X-Men box and the cheaper heroes resistance set and get most of the experience so I can utilize the other 5 scenarios?
Honestly, I don't know. I don't have a copy of HR, and I don't know how well they'd integrate.
@@TheDiscriminatingGamer what are the specific components required from marvel zombies that X-Men needs to utilize those extra 5 scenarios?

Playing as zombies is great fun. Hope you get a chance at some point.
Are you in on DCeased Zombicide? It's a complete improvement of this game with DC characters.
All in, baby!!!
@@TheDiscriminatingGamernice! Looking forward to those videos as well! Also did you do a video on the sentinels?
@@jonathangillies6531 Nope. I only KS’d the two core MZ. CMON sent me these expansions to review. No Sentinels or Galacticus :(

She inhibits heroes from their auto power up at the beginning of the heroes phase.
@@TheDiscriminatingGamer So it's like a disruption of their power, but not a focused psychic attack.
That's...impressively thematic.
