Love trying out all of the different heroes and their abilities. They did such a great job with them. Storm's "Gust" ability is awesome. Makes her almost untouchable. Wolverine's exploding dice when rolling sixes has saved my butt a few times already and Nightcrawler is almost OP.
I too love the variety of the abilities. Very thematic.
I backed the Kickstarter too and love the game. I ran demo games at a local convention and everyone who playing it had a blast.

I'd agree with Cody. This version is the best so far. The superhero theme works really well and one of the cool things about it is that you feel powerful right from the start. I'd rank this #1 and Undead or Alive #2.
This game is absolutely worth it. I prefer playing hero mode, but both game versions are incredibly fun.

I regret not doing the Kickstarter because I want the stretch goals - the box of heroes and zombie heroes. I LOVE X-Men Resistance. Grabbed a bunch of expansions too. I played with the Sentinels one, and they make the game much harder.

@@TheDiscriminatingGamer The expansion adds Professor X as a hero or zombie to. You can also play a Sentinel as a hero.
The Sentinels have a deck of cards that give them different abilities too. So, when they are brought out, you draw from a small deck of cards to choose their ability. It may give them range, more toughness, etc. So it adds a little variety.

Should i get the resistance or heroes resistance? What's the difference besides $60 more?
Heroes Resistance has only standees for the zombies, and you can't play as the zombie heroes. I don't believe it is fully compatible with the core set.
I prefer fighting the zombies.

I pulled the trigger on this months ago. The minis look great, the game itself is brutally hard. Still trying to beat mission 1 😢
Keep at. I’ve played several games now, and I’m about 50/50 win lose.
I have primarily played hero version, but what we’ve found in both game modes is having heroes/zombies whose abilities and powers complement each other really helps bridge the difficulty gap.
