for you android noobs rooting is too 100℅ take control admistrator access to files you aren't meant to use and customize every thing and anything done bad could lead to brick which can be a soft brick (hope is still left for you to fix it) or hard brick ( you just make your phone useless like a brick broken and unusable) oh and Rooting will VOID your warranty cyanogenmod for custom ROMs and look for your device there they are a trusted site

King root makes my phone reboot and when it reboots, it takes away the root. I'm using lollipop 5.1.1 on Samsung LG Treasure
