    Always enjoy how spooky, distant, and melancholic troys jams sound

    God...long time Homme fanboy here...and I'm really coming to appreciate Troy's genius, what he contributes to QOTSA. This piece was so cool! When he first played the rhythm track, I thought, "Aw, this is boring." But he built it up into something so incredible! I would absolutely listen to this. Imagine if Troy released a solo album of moody trance music like this. I would listen to that regularly!

      I got a perfect circle vibe from it at first

      Too many people think that greatness of some banda come from one person. No, most of musicans would be noone without ther bands. For exaple pantera, dimebag was cool but with anselmo they broke the code.

    Everyone in QOTSA is in the shadow of Josh Homme but they’re all incredible players. I was watching some live footage over the weekend of them and Troy is just the perfect foil to Josh. The way their guitars mesh together is almost like one. They’re lucky to have him.

    I love that studio! You mean Troy didn't play through the vintage Sears tube amp while he was there😢

    I see what people are saying about the awkwardness, but it does sound good. Love Troys genius. I could see myself playing with these effects for hours…

    before they added the effects to the two tracks, it for some reason made me think of sonic youth's great song wish fulfillment.

    At the start of this it sounds like Troy is trying to figure out how to play "I still haven't found what I'm looking for".

      The looped part is very similar to Failure’s Another Space Song, which isn’t surprising.

    Wont someone please start building tape machines again and get some real, lush, musical tones back into music.

    Why on earth would someone want to record with DI? Sounds can be inspiring.

    Hahahaha they really should have structured this differently, you can tell Troy feels so awkward most of it. Nice guitar lines though and the effects sound good

    Absolutely no one is using the new MBox. It looks like DJ gear and Avid is a dumpster fire company that NO ONE should be throwing money at. Hard pass on this and hard pass on Avid. And that sucks - Pro Tools is fantastic software.

    Cool idea but damn, this is so painful to watch. Such an unmusical way to record guitar. Such a waste to a great talent of Troy. Poor guy had to endure this advertisement.

      lol would it be more
      musical if he was eating your moms food while recording on a $99 interface after driving Uber for 3 hours (that’s your life)

  • @jeremiaszhendzel2611
    @jeremiaszhendzel2611 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Troy looks like he had to teach the sound engineer the art of recording just moments before they started making this presentation. Plus what are these gains on cab mics?? man... terrible job
