Many, many years ago I knew a fellow with a beach buggy. He would have taken one look at Grant's truck and said the reason Grant keeps getting stuck is the aggressive tread on the tires. They just dig a hole when they spin the least bit. The guy always ran nearly bald balloon tires on his beach buggy, and it never got stuck in soft sand or the water crossings.
Driving in soft sand, you lower the tire pressure for better traction. In general, when driving of road/in rough terrain, you need ballast on your rear wheels, otherwise your rear wheels/the boogie will spin/skip/jump.
Screw that...just get a M1070 HET! I pulled my Claas Jaguar that lawn darted 4’ down in sticky mud out like nothing. I’ve pulled several friends Challengers buried in mud over the tracks. The Baden winches are beasts!
Back 15yrs ago (when we were still in the oil business), dad came up with this monster winch truck. It had a Spicer 6+4 two stick transmission followed by a split drive box that could be shifted to power either the rear ends or the winch. So the winch could run on every gear same as the driveline! Which is really only handy if you're trying to reel in the full length of cable ~100' in a hurry, but it was a very cool set up I thought. One of the locals offered me a case of beer to bring that truck and pull a tree up out of his yard. It turned out the tree was a ~6' diameter nonbearing Mulberry. He had cut off all the limbs and worked his way around the bottom and done everything he could with a little chainsaw. Now he wanted me to finish it off. The truck is like 45' wheelbase (maybe longer and I'm not exaggerating even a little bit). At one point, I had the whole front end off the ground pulling on this stump. By and by, half the town gathered around watching. From a safety man and insurance point of view, it would've been an absolute nightmare. Finally, one of the smarter rednecks among us suggested that we wrap the winch cable line around the tree and anchor it to a limb... so as to twist and pull the stump all at once. That worked, and the tree stump fairly exploded into several chunks *most of which were too big for any 10 men to budge. That story told- You guys need a winch rig. You can pull the world with one *so long as it's not attached to a mulberry tree. I winched out fully loaded tanker trucks that were buried to the axles in sand. Those things were weighing ~80 grand. Anyway, I love the video. I wish we had a river bed like that around here. Looks like fun ;P
Man I worked on these trucks in the service and never saw damage like that lol. Try letting some air of the tires nezt time. Use the onboard compresser to refill.
Nothing like a fun time playing in the river, I miss those days as I live in AZ now, we don't have as many opportunities to play in the water, but we have a lot of sand.
What do you have that has more pulling power than the John Deere? I was expecting the John Deere to get stuck! Come to think of it though I have never heard of you getting the John Deere stuck and it has been in the "river" a few times!

But I'm military truck or any truck you want to drive in mud or sand tire pressure should be anywhere between 25 to 30 PSI

The river looks like this every summer except when it floods. This is normal. It's a wide shallow sand bottom.
