Also, obviously you’re going to sweat and stink at the gym, there’s nothing wrong with that and that’s what showers are for.
Also, it isn't the sweat that causes odour but the bacterial growth. Which is why for example your underarm sweat will stink but not like, the sweat pouring down your face! And we actually sweat from almost everywhere, except a very few areas like our lips etc. So just because we reduce the amount of sweating from our underarms (because of the smell situation) by wearing a deo/ antiperspirant etc, it doesn't mean that we are "blocking" the sweat in any significant way because we will still be sweating from everywhere else, just that that sweat won't stink as much. Unless you are wearing deodorant all over your body, in that case you may have a problem 😂
It doesn’t work like that. Think about it this way: when you use antiperspirant deodorant, does the rest of your body suddenly sweat more? No. It doesn’t. Blocking the sweat glands or paralyzing them in one area will not make the rest of your body turn into a sweat factory. There isn’t any way for one gland to say “hey, I can’t produce sweat,” and for another gland to say “I gotcha, I’ll produce it for you then.” What likely happened is either that she had an adverse reaction (uncommon) or she just simply noticed that she sweats in different areas.

Botox in pits to avoid odor sounds like a terrible idea. It's a heavy sweat area for a reason. Your body is trying to cool down. Drink water, eat proper, and just take a shower after your workout. It's fine to be human.

Yeah but there’s people like me who can spend two hours in the shower and start sweating 5 mins after the shower. Showering multiple times a day isn’t sustainable specially if you’re a person with a full time job or school.
I am not giving up my natural loofah. Just wash it after every use and dry it properly. Use it only for your body. Anything left in a moist area will start harbouring bacteria and mold, even your towel.

Sweating is healthy. Don’t mess with your lymphatic system. If you have HORRIFIC body oder people can smell from 4+ ft away, you probably need to clean up your diet and sweat more. I truly do not care if I don’t smell like a flower at the gym or on a hike. That is weird and unnatural. I don’t want to offend others, but there are ways to mitigate that without wearing heavy fragrances and Botox.
@@johnh3611 Botox in the armpits is usually only reserved for people with debilitating conditions that cause them to excessively sweat. People wanting Botox after sweating normally once at the gym can be offended but not everyone gets Botox there for mild sweating.
@@johnh3611I have a friend who has hyperhydrosis and she just sweats constantly. So Botox in the armpits could be an option for her. Please don't generalize, most people getting Botox in their armpits probably have a good reason...!!! It's actually awful to have, she sweats a lot and I would honestly hate to have it!! Most people don't get it for aesthetics.
Glycolic acid is great for body odor. Also, ingesting chlorophyll daily works like an internal deodorant. We need to sweat as it removes impurities from the body
The idea of a nuero toxin being injected close to Lymph nodes doesn’t seem like a good idea. Plus sweat is how the body cools itself down. It’s important and this is coming from someone with decreased sweat gland activity. I had autonomic testing that found this.
The “idea” of it doesn’t sound appealing, but it’s perfectly safe with little side effects. Sweat in the underarms barely contributes to your body’s overall temperature regulation due to the fact that there is significantly less airflow (largely due to the fact we wear clothes) under your arms that would allow for the sweat to evaporate off your skin, which is what cools our body down. If anything, sweat in the pits is more of just a nuisance than an effective bodily function.
Remember, doctors thrive off keeping society sick! So that definitely checks out. Of course they’re gonna push for injecting neurotoxins right next to your lymph nodes!!
Lifehack I refuse to Gatekeep: none of this matters. This isn't a pathway to happiness or fulfillment. Who honestly cares if you sweat and smell like sweat when working out - that's what our bodies are designed to do - it's natural and normal. I don't care if others want to inject their armpits - but, don't frame it like that's a real issue - because the issue is actually how you're thinking about the experience of sweating.
And if you're concerned something is wrong with your body odor or anything about your body at all - go to a doctor IN PERSON. Get tests done for whatever you think is wrong. Taking advice from a random person online who doesn't know your issues and recommends the same things to everyone is not going to help you.
If I could even afford Botox I sure as heck wouldn’t waste it on my pits. Gym stink-what a first world problem.. that you can solve with cheap items from the drugstore.
@@AllyFin Ha! I have heat intolerance and I’ve been an over-sweater (bordering on hyperhidrosis) since my teens-over 25 years. When you have chronic health problems since birth, you prioritize different things. My money ain’t going to trifling things like pit Botox.
Im sorry what now? We need to sweat, that is an extremely dangerous thing to not gate keep! If you are really concerned about sweat smell, carry alcohol wipes with you and wipe down your extra sweaty bits with it before and/or after. It kills the bacteria that make the smell.
I get Botox in my underarms for hyperhydrosis (lots of sweating) but also for odor (worse since puberty). I’ve been doing it every 6 months for the last 7 years. Hurts like heck, sensitive nerves in your underarms but so worth it! They say it can make you sweat more in other areas but I haven’t noticed and regardless it’s worth it to not smell and have to throw away my clothes (yes for real). I’d recommend it to anyone if intense wearing or the strong odor is something that negatively impacts your life. Since getting it done I don’t have to worry and can wear nice shirts. Feel like a normal person 😊
There aren’t any studies that currently indicate that it contributes to breast cancer. There shouldn’t be any long term effects either, just short term benefits. The effects wear off in around 3-6 months, requiring you to do touch ups.
About 7 years ago a friend gave me this advice: rub a a small amount of baking soda mixed with 2-3 drops of water to your armpits and they’ll will never stink. I tell everyone I know. It’s the cheapest and most efficient deodorant ever, no residues, no rashes, no odors.
I actually like using The Ordinary's glycolic acid toner on my arm pits, it has anti bacterial properties and bacteria is what causes most of the underarm smell. It also helps exfoliate the underarm area which helps me with razor burn and evening the darker skin tone under my arms
I have notice that when using an eucerin moisturizer with alpha hydroxy acid after taking a shower by night, I could even go without using deodorant for a day, and that means a lot coming from me. Someone who uses clinical strengths antiperspirants.
Chemical exfoliants never get rid of my dead skin. I have to use physical exfoliants or else it just stays put. Also if you Botox your underarm sweat glands you WILL sweat more elsewhere to make up for it. Your body sweats to cool itself. If your sweat is particularly rank you should speak to your doctor about possible causes before treating it cosmetically. Some diseases have a smell, or it could be something in your diet, etc.
Botox under your arms does not make you sweat more elsewhere. Your body does not work like that. When you wear antiperspirant deodorant, do you notice more sweat on your neck? No? Because it doesn’t work like that. Blocking the sweat glands (antiperspirants) or paralyzing them (Botox) will not affect how much overall sweat your body produces and stays localized. I’m just copying and pasting the following from another comment I wrote about sweat under your arms: Sweat in the underarms barely contributes to your body’s overall temperature regulation due to the fact that there is significantly less airflow (largely due to the fact we wear clothes) under your arms that would allow for the sweat to evaporate off your skin, which is what cools our body down. It isn’t the process of sweating that cools you down, but the evaporation of that sweat off your body drawing the heat away with it. The rest of your body, like the stomach, back, face, and arms, are significantly more effective than your underarms and groin are at cooling you down. If anything, sweat in the pits is more of just a nuisance than an effective bodily function at reducing your bodily temperature.

For anyone who is magically oily and we love it I'm not hating because I am a glazed AF donut most days. But for those days that you want a mattifying skin look that's "Natural looking" make sure your skin is nice and fresh with a chemical exfoliant, I use 7% glycolic acid 3 or 4 times a week. Buuuut. Use Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion on your T zone after your skincare routine let it sit for 3 mins or so(I have a little paper fan I use to speed it up) once it is dried you will notice a difference but here is the magicallness get Elf matte putty primer scoop some up and apply on your hand and massage till it's a creamy texture. Dab that onto your finger and lightly pat that over your T zone area and let that set for a few mins. When I tell you this looks amazing and natural and for me at least it makes my skin look a few years younger truly. I only wash my face at nightime as well, so my face is nice and dewy in the AM I just pat it gentley with some toilet paper and do my routine. Like I said though make sure your skin is nice and prepped with a good chemical exfoliant. I have friends doing it now and it just is blessed ♡
What do you mean? You are oily? And what you are describing is how to look clean and fresh? The Aveeno on top of other skincare? I dont quite follow, but am intrigued.
@@Persefone94 Ooh I know the answer! So the Aveeno products being described have colloidal oatmeal in them. So dabbing up the oil parts leaves the colloidal oatmeal part behind, leaving a mattified spot in the oily spot's place. Having said that though, it's got a tendency (on my skin) to pill up if you're not careful, so don't rub it on... Just dab it on, let it set down a bit, then use oil blotter papers to pull up the oils. It does work but it's fiddly.
Applied topically? Because when you eat greens you're basically eating chlorophyll and I'm pretty sure everyone who eats greens is not naturally odor free
Everyone says use chemical exfoliants. And they do help somewhat, but they aren't effective alone for me. I use Salycilic acid, glycolic acid in toners and/or face wash every day (different combos and amounts depending on sensitivity) and previously tried lactic acid and none of them make my skin less congested or smooth any dry patches that occasionally spring up - and that's on top of the tretinoin every night! I still have obvious clogged pores, very oily skin, bumps from blocked overactive glands which franlky will probably only go away with help from a clinic. if I don't manually exfoliate once a week at least my skin looks AWFUL and long-term blemishes are more likely to arise. And yes I use those pads sometimes but I wash them just like my flannels and don't have any problem with them breaking me out or growing mold.
I actually really wanted to do the Botox to stop sweating when I moved to Miami! Thankfully I thought about it and researched and heard from others how they would start sweating out of other parts much more, usually the palms 🤲🏼 I don't think anyone should do it!
Use antibacterial soap, acid cleaners dry out skin and never remove it as the physical exfoliation would. I listened to this advice for 10+ years, then switched to this old method and finally can enjoy a clean +- skin, much cleaner than before. Just add a thick gel on top so it cleanses gently
I'm a mostly plant based vegan and my sweat doesn't stink. I had a 6 month stint of eating whatever I wanted ( highly processed with high amounts of processed oils) and it destroyed my clothes. I think the bacteria culture they put in the native deoderate mated with mine own airpit critters then made a home in the airpits of my clothes, which spread in the laundry. There was smell that I couldn't get rid of. I went back to whole foods low fat and never had the problem again. I use the crystal roll on stuff.
genetics i believe (and possibly immunocompromisation, if any). the smell is from bacteria, and iirc 50% or so of people develop B.O. due to how their body harbors these bacteria. you're lucky~
I think you are underestimating the power of the loofah in your body,. It doesn't only clean it, it gives you a nice massage for circulation, for cellulitis, and muscles and that is something that your chemical exfoliators don't do. And don't forget that the chemicals go to the water, and the loofah is biodegradable. Expand your knowledge and mind Dr. 👍
Unfortunately, loofahs are terrible for your skin and the environment. They don’t provide even exfoliation and are microbe reservoirs. It’s shown that patients that use loofahs are significantly more likely to have body acne and other skin infections than those who don’t. On top of that, only some loofah’s are biodegradable. Most, however, are not. It’s incredibly difficult to recycle them as well. You’re much better off using a chemical exfoliant for the cleansing/exfoliating aspect (which provide more benefits to the skin than physical exfoliants do) and using a silicone sponge/scrubber or a dry body brush for promoting circulation.
@@acwesty I've used loofahs/exfoliating clothes my entire life and I've never had body acne. I actually didn't know that was a thing until I saw pictures on the internet. It's easy to disinfect them with hot water and Dettol before and after use then leave to air dry properly.
Maybe you are using a product that has too high a concentration of a given acid? Also, acid is not equal to acid + it is very important to use a cream with ceramides, which will soothe and regenerate the skin, an ordinary moisturizing cream may be too weak. If you have sensitive skin, I do not recommend using acids every day. It is very important to use SPF during the day and use acids at night (this option is good for sensitive skin). There are many factors that can influence this skin reaction. My skin used to react this way too, but changing the cream and the acid itself helped a lot. Some acids are just weird xd
After using just chemical exfoliants I end up looking like a shedding lizard. I need some mechanical exfoliation, either with a shedding pad, brush or with a towel.
one simple hack against stinking like garlic is to apply hand sanitiser in your high-sweat zones. Works pretty much all day long from my experience. Might not be great for your skin microbiome if done daily though.
My skin is so sensitive that even my bleached face towels sometimes irritate. Shiseido face cotton is amazing! So soft, good for people like me who are prone to rubbing
Can you do a video on chemicals that counter act each other? I've heard not to use vitaminc c with certain acids so to spread them apart when applying them for instance.
Glycolic acid from The Ordinary also works better than Lume w/o the side effect of suddenly smelling like hot garbage juice when your body gets used to the acid they use to kill odor. Going on 2 years using this stuff full body w/o fail. Mini spray bottle to spritz on.
When I was 19 I started sweating A LOT and my body odor was really strong from my armpits. I got Botox in my armpits and it actually really helped with the excessive sweating and the BO. I still sweat a lot but I don’t have to worry about re-applying my deodorant in the middle of the day anymore. It’s definitely not for everyone but it really helped me.
I use facial exfoliating pads I get from Dollar Tree. Unfortunately, I have KP AND dry/aging skin, and if I don't physically exfoliate, moisturizers and treatments just sit on that dry surface and they don't sink in. So I agree, but also, everyone's skin will behave a little bit differently. And as I truly can't get my stupid, ADHD, dopamine-chasing brain-meat to cooperate with a balanced diet... I gotta treat it from the outside. 😩
Those physical exfoliaters do wonders to the skin. I'm surprised how mold, residue, and bacteria made my skin sooo flawless, intense glow, exfoliated, and smooth 😂😂😂 my best kept hack is to use physical exfoliaters as they work just fine
Why would botox be needed tho? It's very normal to sweat and stink after an exercise, I think only people with excessive sweat should go for such solution 🤷♀️
Sweating is okay it’s the bacteria that stinks. I think benzyl peroxide on the armpits, and or the crystal deodorant deals with the bacteria smell, and I think there’s also this probiotic spray that helps. a good diet will also help and regularly sweating will help with smell but sweat and itself is OK
Some people can't use chemical exfoliants because of skin sensitivity, and/or because some (think serums) will clog your pores, and increase acne, hence the method of physical or "mechanical" exfoliation. It works, and if you're switching out your loofah or exfoliating mitt regularly it's not harmful. Most can also be washed.
Zinc for stink. TAKE ZINC. Use a zinc oxide paste, and schmear some in your freshly cleaned and dried stank zones before bed. During that next day, if any stank arises, reapply. Repeat daily for two weeks. Soon you'll notice that even on nights you forget the routine you will remain way less stanky. You're welcome.
I had hyperhidrosis as a kid and a teenager I’m using talk to text so I don’t know if that spelt it right but basically I would sweat an insane amount from my armpits. I never smelled, but I would sweat so much and Botox changed my life as a teenage girl. I could wear colours and T-shirts and my confidence improved my overall life improved just because of that one thing and not covered it would have cost over $1200 just for the Botox then hundreds more for the doctor and the procedure but it would’ve been worth it.
If you deal with body odor from the armpits, a better way to help prevent the worst of it from happening is using a benzoyl peroxide cleanser on your pits at least once a week after your usual body soap to help kill any bacteria buildup. You have to be able to sweat but what makes your sweat stinky is bacteria so using something antibacterial like benzoyl peroxide can help to prevent the worst of the body odor from occuring. Of course, make sure to apply deodorant to your pits a few hours before you actual plan on moving and sweating for it to be fully effective. And this is the simplest way to help prevent and alleviate really bad BO without having to get fucking botox
I had a persistent smell in my armpits (i use natural deodorant so that happens when i'm extremely stressed i suppose) and i had a mandelic acid toner (5%) that didn't work on my face because it burned but I found out that's the active ingredient in lume. I tried it and it worked like a dream. The smell was gone. A smell that wouldn't go away with scrubbing or shaving went away with just a swipe.
My (former) hyperhidrosis was one of the only reasons I considered botox. I ended up just using Rx strength antiperspirant and fortunately the issue has gone away with age.
Guys there's something called "tawas" at my country, it's like a mineral or something sorry i don't know the exact name in english but, it's used for purifying well or water source, and this thing is come as a stone or powder. they're also very effective at reducing your body odor, because they can kill the Bacteria that makes our armpits smell. Just rub wet tawas stone to your armpit or solute tawas powder in filtered water and your smelly stinks is gone. And the good things is, tawas is odorless. So if you want to add some perfume just add to the solution. No need permanent change to your body, and it's very cheap, just 1$ for 500g powder. I Just need 1 tablespoon per 100ml solution and my armpit doesn't smell, even after i doing workout.
Povidone Iodine Skin cleanser works for my armpit, even I sweat there's no odor. And The Ordinary Glycolic Acid works with armpit odor but to harsh for daily use.
If you are experincing too much odor after a 30 min workout, try stronger deordorant after the shower you have before you attend the gym (on the same day you attend the gym but before you do your session), and apply it first thing after finishing the shower (after drying your underarms enough first - note that they should not have any bo smell before applying deodorant, if they do then rewash the pits first until the smell is gone). This minimises the amount the bacteria can multiply after finishing the shower and before the deodorant is put on, as the more minutes it has to multiply, the quicker you will start smelling again even after deodorant. Putting it on immediately on showered undearms with no sweat/bo smell at all will give you the longest window of not smelling while using deodorant. And apply a fair amount of coats of it and wait for it to dry before getting dressed (this also helps give you the longest window of not smelling bad). For stronger deodorant, if womens doesn't work well enough try men's as even the normal strength ones tend to be stronger. I tend to find Sure and Nivea roll on (both womens and mens) really good, but my bf uses Rught Guard spray and that works for him. The Nivea ones with alcohol are the strongest Nivea formulations, but will sting if you shaved, so the next strongest ones are the clear formulas that are called "Black and white" (because they say they won't cause stains on clothes, even black and white clothes). The Nivea womens Pearl&beauty roll on deo doesn't do much for me so I'd say skip that one. And for all the Nivea roll ons, all the mens are stronger than all the womens. The Sure branded deodorants are stronger but the roll on deodorants have a creamier formula that can stiffen the underarms of your clothes with long term use (i.e. years of use) but they are very effective and if you are using them on and off and not every day every month, it should be fine.
For sure sweat and dont be ashamed. Don't prevent it. You wouldn't prevent urinating, you know your body needs it. Sweating is very important and the armpits are an area designated for that function.
I make my own antibacterial antismell spray with mandelic acid. I put mandelic acid powder in a spray water bottle diluted to 10%. It is the active in Lume deodarant.
how long does the effect last? im curious cos the deos that don't stain don't work for me long enough, and those that do work stain my clothes.. hope this actually works for at least a day
Warning re the armpit botox = after years of using underarm roll on, I don't sweat at ALL under my arms.... But my head sweats so badly now that it leaves my hair wet and my make up runs... basically the body just sends that sweat somewhere else.
If you need a quick fix to stop a stinky armpit, hand sanitizer works well in my experience I put antiperspirant on every night, but if I forget and I get warm, sometimes I dab a little hand sanitizer on my pits. Kills the bacteria that makes the stink Results may vary I guess but works for me!
If your sweat stinks horrible you should check hormones, medicine or your diet. It can (and has, for many people) drastically changed their smell. No chemicals needed

What do you think about active enzymatic deodorants? I find some are amazing and some are a joke. I had one years ago in college that you could put on after you got stinky, without washing first, and it didn’t just cover the smell with perfumes, it actually ate away at the bacteria and neutralized the stink! I used to keep it in my purse for those emergencies. But I haven’t been able to find it in like 2 decades now! 😂 It worked better than anything else I’ve ever tried by leaps and bounds. I’d love to find something similar again. I wonder if you have come across any that are formulated to actually work. I think some of the enzymes must break down easily in production or something, but it’s just a slightly educated guess. 😊
Is baking soda none toxic to use as a deodorant? I've been using baking soda for years and I was pretty satisfied with it. To use it, I wet my hands, put some baking soda powder on my wet hands and then rub it on my armpits and then it stops stinking, probably untill I take the next shower. I just wanna know is this a good way?

Most gyms have a rule against body odor and will kick you out if you stink up the room, sweating is expected but so is deodorant!

This. I don’t use deodorant 😬
But I do use salicylic acid after I workout or I sweat a lot
Yep! This and benzyl peroxide wash. BP wash kills the same bacteria that causes BO. You don’t need a fancy one either.
I believe salicylic acid is one of the main ingredients in the Lume soaps and deodorants.
Thank you!!
@@jshoffymanI’m pretty sure it is. I use lume bc I tried aluminum deodorant since I have hyperhydrosis and it broke me out. It advertises long lasting deodorant but it only works a few hours for me but a few hours with no allergic reactions.
Or if you can't afford Botox, etc. The Doctorly derm Drs recommend washing your armpits with Hibiclens Antimicrobial soap . Works like a charm !
My husband and son use this and it helps SO MUCH.
Panoxyl face wash works good too. Also witch hazel can help too. Even a swipe on the booty crazk can help with sweat odors.
Or just put on some damn deodorant after every bath😂😂😂
My partner uses it on his feet, and they stink A LOT less! He works 8-12 hour shifts in one of those safety boots, so you can imagine 😂
Try potassium alum mineral deodorant
As someone who had botox in the arm pits lol I can say it works, however you WILL sweat in other places - like your crotch, arse, forehead and my forehead never sweated before and it was drench city ruining my makeup until the botox pits wore off lol and tbh it was not worth it for me, personally. I did not get botox in my forehead btw just in my Brad Pitts so I dunno if you get both done what could happen lol
I agree with you. I get Botox in my armpits. I definitely make up for it in other areas. Lol
Not the Brad Pitts💀💀💀
@@cecilialovalvo5709 yea my Brad Pitts get sweaty lol
Wow really useful info, thank you, id rather sweat under armpits than forehead
This!!!!
Botox in pits to avoid odor sounds like a terrible idea. It's a heavy sweat area for a reason. Your body is trying to cool down. Drink water, eat proper, and just take a shower after your workout. It's fine to be human.
I like that you said it’s fine to be human. Especially coz she’s saying in the first example that we should normalise what skin actually looks like online
@@Wezza182 If you don’t hate yourself for looking and smelling human, how will they sell you things??? 🙀
@@edoboleyn oh right! I totally forgot! Of course degrading people is the best selling tactic! 😂😂
I was only joking but then again I think they do it so often because it does unfortunately work. “We’ll eat away at your body confidence until you buy our unnecessary product”. ☹️ I wonder where this tactic started, in society and marketers picked up on that or did marketers come up with the idea first and society followed 🤔
Yeah but there’s people like me who can spend two hours in the shower and start sweating 5 mins after the shower. Showering multiple times a day isn’t sustainable specially if you’re a person with a full time job or school.
Tell me the reason with sources.
I am not giving up my natural loofah. Just wash it after every use and dry it properly. Use it only for your body. Anything left in a moist area will start harbouring bacteria and mold, even your towel.
Exactly civilisations have used these natural options for thousands of years. Not to mention their biodegradable too
Bingo! You can take them from my cold dead hands! This woman is constantly giving crap advice.....er, “advice”
I think it’s a natural process to sweat, your body does this for a reason. Just wash it off and change your clothes, job done.
It’s natural, but it can be uncomfortable. That’s why she’s recommending Botox for people that have the means to have it if this is something that bothers them
But if you accept it as natural, shower, and move on with your life, how will the beauty industry sell you Botox injections??? 🥺
I don’t think sweating can be uncomfortable? I’m a Pharmacy Technician, there is a condition where people’s palms of their hands sweat profusely, I can see the need for it then. But not just for normal sweating. That is a natural response to regulate your bodies temperature.
@@emmachellar798right, and even if it is uncomfortable, again assuming we’re not talking about a medical condition, I cannot believe in 2024 we’re talking about injecting toxins instead of just taking a shower 😂
@@acwesty Except there's no mention in the short that getting Botox in your armpits has a high chance of causing your body to overcompensate by making you sweat in other places (neck, face, back, buttcrack, etc.) to cool you down. I rather sweat a bit from my pits than be drenched in sweat in worse places.
Unless the person actually suffers from hyperhidrosis and needs it, paying extra for a Botox shot when there are many more economical and efficient ways to deal with sweat and BO, I just don't see how it's worth it.
Love that she is showing the ideal skin to be Asian skin and then proceeds to ditch one thing that all my Asian friends do - mechanical exfoliation with a wash rug. 😅
Like they go all out leaving the skin red and the result is glowy beautiful skin.
But I suppose companies need products to sell 😌
Panoxyl paste left on for 2 minutes works wonders for my armpits!! No need for botox. No smell whatsoever
Yes that works too! 🔥
🙌🙌🙌
Anyone putting Botox in their armpits deserves to be offended
@@johnh3611 Botox in the armpits is usually only reserved for people with debilitating conditions that cause them to excessively sweat. People wanting Botox after sweating normally once at the gym can be offended but not everyone gets Botox there for mild sweating.
🙌🙌🙌
Contrary to the other comment you received, you’re exactly right. Fillers can and often do obstruct lymphatic drainage.
Remember, doctors thrive off keeping society sick! So that definitely checks out. Of course they’re gonna push for injecting neurotoxins right next to your lymph nodes!!
Yeah if she's a real Dr and not pretending for clout she needs to be reported to the board for her views they're dangerous
all the botox injury stories online say otherwise @@acwesty
lemon juice works very well underarms. And it brightened any dark spots I had within days
Yes! But it hurst like crazy😣
Limes too. Love the smell of citrus.
I don’t know about brightening but def works for smell
But be sure not to use it if you’re going to wear a white blouse
Be glad that you live in a place where the only place you think you'll sweat is a gym.
@@AllyFin Ha! I have heat intolerance and I’ve been an over-sweater (bordering on hyperhidrosis) since my teens-over 25 years. When you have chronic health problems since birth, you prioritize different things. My money ain’t going to trifling things like pit Botox.
I use $4 Stridex pads for my armpits. Just a couple swipes after I shower. They work wonders.
I enjoy a good scrub to my face sometimes !!😊
It feels nice during & afterwards but I always use a clean mitt or glove or whatever !
Me too!!! Dollar tree shower gloves work great!!
Use a dry brush for your body and a face ! Works wonders over chemical exfoliants and you don’t have to spend money on refills of product.
What are the long-term effects of botox in the armpits? And does it contribute to an increase risk of breast cancer?
I have seborrheic dermatitis so chemical exfoliants rarely work for me 😢
Finally a rational person lol
Botox under your arms does not make you sweat more elsewhere. Your body does not work like that. When you wear antiperspirant deodorant, do you notice more sweat on your neck? No? Because it doesn’t work like that. Blocking the sweat glands (antiperspirants) or paralyzing them (Botox) will not affect how much overall sweat your body produces and stays localized.
I’m just copying and pasting the following from another comment I wrote about sweat under your arms:
Sweat in the underarms barely contributes to your body’s overall temperature regulation due to the fact that there is significantly less airflow (largely due to the fact we wear clothes) under your arms that would allow for the sweat to evaporate off your skin, which is what cools our body down.
Yeah, I get botox injections in my armpits and it doesn't make me sweat more elsewhere. I have hyperhydrosis and it's really improved my quality of life
African black soap + moisturizers work like a charm😅 for all of that... Ijs
If u cant afford botox buy a cheap benzoyl peroxide cleanser
It works, and my underarm is smooooth as benzoyl peroxide is also acting as exfoliant 🎉
The Sephora kids r shaking cus of the first one💀💀
I take a hand sanitizer and shirt. Little onto a wipe or cloth or seven just my hands and go over my pitts. I make sure to let them dry before trying my arms down. They smell like nothing unless I use a bath & body works sanitizer. It works!
You said schmear. Had to watch this 3 times for that. Amd the unfo. But mainly the disgusted schmear. Love it
A natural way to reduce body odor (one of the only things that has worked for my husband) is chlorophyll drops in water!!
Clarisonic was the best everyday exfoliating device for me. Too bad they went out of business.
I use cosrx salicylic acid facial wash on my armpits and underboob i tried other remedies but they dont work this was the only one that worked for me.
Honestly, I never smell from sweat.
Good for you.
It’s partially genetic. Just like most skin conditions…
Thankfully I’m the same way. My dad was as well.
genetics i believe (and possibly immunocompromisation, if any). the smell is from bacteria, and iirc 50% or so of people develop B.O. due to how their body harbors these bacteria. you're lucky~
A loofah is literally a plant similar to a cucumber
But chemicals are so much better
@@acwesty I've used loofahs/exfoliating clothes my entire life and I've never had body acne. I actually didn't know that was a thing until I saw pictures on the internet. It's easy to disinfect them with hot water and Dettol before and after use then leave to air dry properly.
@acwesty washcloths and scrubbers are sustainable, do the job and are sanitary if cleaned correctly. There's absolutely no need for _chemicals._
I have used glycolic acid in my armpits for reducing melanin and odor. It works.
I can't use chemical exfoliation it destroys my skin barrier every time I use it
Same idk how people use them
I'm worried about trying them for thus reason😭 do you have sensitive skin too?
Same, combined sensitive with a waxy oil. Nothing helped me better than physically exfoliating with gel in shower
+ e.g. glycolic acid from The Ordinary is much better for me than glycolic acid from another company 🤷🏻♀️
After using just chemical exfoliants I end up looking like a shedding lizard. I need some mechanical exfoliation, either with a shedding pad, brush or with a towel.
"You thought it was just for your forehead" 😂😂😂😂
😂
one simple hack against stinking like garlic is to apply hand sanitiser in your high-sweat zones.
The so 1908 thingy works. And it is cheap.
Those physical exfoliaters do wonders to the skin. I'm surprised how mold, residue, and bacteria made my skin sooo flawless, intense glow, exfoliated, and smooth 😂😂😂 my best kept hack is to use physical exfoliaters as they work just fine
those scratchy sponges are so 1982 pink ones were all the rage
I wash my pits with Head & shoulders. That works
Really? It helps with sweat or the smell?🤭
W..what? xd
Yep same. Any kind of dandruff shampoo works for this. I also wash my face with it because it prevents acne too
Zinc for stink.
For the bad smell i use now alum rock and it solved my problem + it’s very cheap and natural ❤
I love using foreo's silicone scrub
Loveeee the vlogs
I had a persistent smell in my armpits (i use natural deodorant so that happens when i'm extremely stressed i suppose) and i had a mandelic acid toner (5%) that didn't work on my face because it burned but I found out that's the active ingredient in lume. I tried it and it worked like a dream. The smell was gone. A smell that wouldn't go away with scrubbing or shaving went away with just a swipe.
My (former) hyperhidrosis was one of the only reasons I considered botox. I ended up just using Rx strength antiperspirant and fortunately the issue has gone away with age.
Thank you for all the advise that is actually useful you have help guide me me so much
Guys there's something called "tawas" at my country, it's like a mineral or something sorry i don't know the exact name in english but, it's used for purifying well or water source, and this thing is come as a stone or powder. they're also very effective at reducing your body odor, because they can kill the Bacteria that makes our armpits smell.
You can also use botox for constant migraines. When meds don't work, they are just injected in to your head
That big sniff 😂
I use this for the body but wash it in the washing machine. I have 4 scrub gloves and so it’s always fresh and clean
I feel like you and Chelsea Faegan of Financial Diet need to do an episode about bs skincare expenses
For sure sweat and dont be ashamed. Don't prevent it. You wouldn't prevent urinating, you know your body needs it. Sweating is very important and the armpits are an area designated for that function.
This a great video
I make my own antibacterial antismell spray with mandelic acid. I put mandelic acid powder in a spray water bottle diluted to 10%. It is the active in Lume deodarant.
I don't know why people talk about loofahs like they can never be washed or disinfected. Just wash them regularly and replace when they get too worn
or a benzoyl peroxide soap where you sweat, helps kill off the sweat causing bacteria
how long does the effect last? im curious cos the deos that don't stain don't work for me long enough, and those that do work stain my clothes.. hope this actually works for at least a day
It kills the odour causing bacteria. Sweat is very much natural and doesn't necessarily have to smell.
The silicone scrubber doesn't get moldy or upset my super sensitive skin, I use a small one for lip exfoliation.
Warning re the armpit botox = after years of using underarm roll on, I don't sweat at ALL under my arms.... But my head sweats so badly now that it leaves my hair wet and my make up runs... basically the body just sends that sweat somewhere else.
Sweat is good!! Deodorant to reduce offensive odours, but nothing more than that is needed. Let your body do the thing it's meant to do 😭
If you need a quick fix to stop a stinky armpit, hand sanitizer works well in my experience
I put antiperspirant on every night, but if I forget and I get warm, sometimes I dab a little hand sanitizer on my pits. Kills the bacteria that makes the stink
Results may vary I guess but works for me!
If your sweat stinks horrible you should check hormones, medicine or your diet. It can (and has, for many people) drastically changed their smell. No chemicals needed
fyi good retouchers actually airbrush skin then photoshop pores and peach fuzz back in so it looks realistic. "you can see the pores" means fuckall
thank you doc🤗
her 'life hacks' be hella expensive
Nah, I do the konjac sponge, wash it after every use and look like the first girl. I also keep them 4x longer than recommended, but toss as soon as they sgow signs of falling apart
Why would you stop a natural process like sweating. Sweating has a function. Glands are there for a reason
Exactly. It's not a "hack" for everyday life.
I have hyperhidrosis , my doctor recommended botox for my soles of my feet and hands, but I refused bc I'm scared of needles. I also have a jaw problem, so they also recommended botox in my masseter if the massage therapy doesn't help
It worked better than anything else I’ve ever tried by leaps and bounds. I’d love to find something similar again. I wonder if you have come across any that are formulated to actually work. I think some of the enzymes must break down easily in production or something, but it’s just a slightly educated guess. 😊
Years ago, I had botox done for excessive underarm sweating. I have hardly had any sweat again. BUT, it transferred to my face!
I really really really want to know what that pink eyeshadow is that you wear love a picture like that. Specially, on Hazel or Amber eyes❤
You can also put glycolic acid on your underarms to help with odor
I binge watch your videos a lot
But sweating is important!
Yes good on odor. Tough on skin. Gives me a rash
@@Elle_55 MAJOR rash for me too
Or maybe we don’t need a potentially life threatening injections just to get rid of sweat
use glycolic acid too on the pits
A: who is the most of us with dry flaky patches??
B: your body will produce the same amount of sweat no matter how much Botox you get. It will come out of your skin in other areas. Sweat and odor happens. That’s why we have showers.
