Did no one really expect it? Really? I thought most people know any team with Selly is easily contender for top 5 lol. Dude's just cracked.
@@alexanderkeene6704 yeah probably no one, or at least close to no one. Most people only realized it was possible they might win during the last match when they saw the number of kills they got. And even then they won by 2 points, so it was really close.
@@alexanderkeene6704 nope since it's difficult to get that many KP in last round since all team will going all out for KP, and Selly never win CR cup with CPT with 2 win CR cup all team gonna target CPT team for sure.
@@alexanderkeene6704 It was only unexpected because they were behind the other teams until the very end and didn't do as well as the top teams like Astel Team, CPT team etc. They managed to pop-off at the last round with 21 kills and a Champion, getting a the tons of points managing a close comeback.

It's really interesting that the first time around, Selly wasn't interested at all with joining the CR CUP but got roped in anyways to form Yumekawa Purple. Even when he didn't win, he still continued joining until he got a win in this final CR CUP. I don't even have to say anything about his strength, because everyone knows how strong he is.
Ebio was a really interesting player to watch. Ever since VSaikyo, I really noticed him. During that time, Noah was the only impressive player in that team in my eyes who could handle the rest of the teams but he proved me wrong with his excellent comms. He had a consistent level of strength and cover which is very important. Even at the beginning of this tourney, with no offense, I thought he wouldn't be able to Selly as much as Towa can, but I gravely underestimated him. He managed to adjust quite quickly during the first few scrims without issue.
Towa-sama played very well in that last round. During the rounds before, I noticed her mistiming a couple of domes, which she's usually quite good at. Her cover was a little weak as well. In the last round, she was a little less conservative and kept up with Selly's speed in the aggro while covering him the best as she can.
The team composition was really good, with Selly as the entire cavalry of damage, Towa-sama and Ebio with the constant cover and comms. They managed to hit a lot of their shots, no one showed their gums, and they were extremely lucky as much as they were skilled in those last fights.
p.s. i really thought Astel, Tsuna, Mother was gonna win. They were really strong. Either that or CPT who was popping off. Didn't expect a win from the trio above at all lol.
Only reason abo didn't shine much is he plays like Noah a lot. He's a slightly worse Noah. He has good calm Comms can game lead and call plays and is flexible with picks. Just like Noah but Noah's advantage is she is more aggressive in calls when needed and has great aim.
Yeah the Tsuna/Astel/Mother3 team had a really strong chance at taking it but they got really unlucky in the last game, getting jumped by Cheeky basically sealed off their chance. Escaping that encounter was not gonna happen and fighting it out was unlikely to end in their favor without a 3rd party jumping in. They had gotten lucky to evade a one on one encounter with Cheeky's team since the scrims all that time, so perhaps it was only a matter of time. They likely would have placed in the top 3 at least had they lived to get some kills since the gap between 3rd and 4th was incredibly narrow despite being wiped out so early on. That being said, for their team having no Predator and no hardcore pro/ex-pro on it, taking two Champions and ranking 4th is a huge accomplishment in its own right.
Towa used to be the crybaby who would panick in real games and kill herself with her own ult. Seeing her journey to becoming winners of so many tournaments is honestly inspiring. Ebio has always been pretty skilled but is a troll through and through. He even trollled near the end lol. I think the most important thing from these two is that they are both amazing at comms. They give really good information and give Selly the ability to lead them.
There are other, more amazing 1v1 Vtubers like Noah, Kuzuha and Astel but those guys mostly shine by getting into fights. Sometimes they get into really bad fights and drop out early.

@@greenhat7618 Lately in Japan Towa is appearing everywhere, she used to be only known around a small circle of people, but she has been featured a ton and she is even recognized by other JP actors and singers, so yes, Towa-sama has become a lot more popular and alongside Suisei they are seen as powerhouses when it comes to singing in Japan.

A nice side note was in CR 7 when CPT, Towa, and Noah won as Candy Pop they stole victory in the final round with a 13 kill win from Selly. This time Selly, Towa, and Ebio stole a victory from CPT with the 21 kill win in the final round. Also Noah pointed out how it made her smile that their old team (Candy Pop) took the top spots for the final CR cup. 1st Towa, 2nd CPT, and 3rd Noah.

I'm so happy for Towa sama and her team. Hololive it's really full of multitalented and hardworking people who just keep on improving in every field they decide to put their mind on.
It's so satisfying to be an spectator of these achievements.
She is one of my inspiration from Startend(STA) to play APEX, in the beginning I'm kinda sad only Towa who still continues playing APEX and being a participant on many APEX Tournaments. From there, I became interested in following her APEX journey in almost every single her APEX's Stream or Tournaments. I can see the improvement progress about her incredible Gibby(Ji bu) and also how her mental toughness like steel made time by time.
I was so happy until I cried when she finally won this last CR Cup tournament. The journey of the tournament this time was truly amazing! A solid and unyielding team until the last round, with Selly's Kami Play, Ebio toughness, and of course Towa's Gibby incredible play. Happy to her for winning this cup!

for this reason, towa is one if not my favourite hololiver. i really like it when she hangs out with people outside of hololive, the vibes feel really authentic and it reminds me of when i hang out with close friends. before towa, we had aqua who used to stream solo diamond/master streams. we also had fubuki, roboco, and ayame join cr cups. but it was also a bit sad because frankly none of them were good enough, sometimes you don't wanna see your oshi lose you know?
towa changed all that and im glad she introduced me to tsuna (bora) and selly. i most likely wouldve never watched selly without her, wouldve just assumed hes one of those "good" korean players without truly getting to know him

towa has really improved since the previous cr cups. im a huge towa fan and didnt really like it when people started overhyping her 3 tourneys ago, but in this tournament she really carried her own weight and didnt let herself get hard carried by selly. proud of her
Congrats Wagamama, felt really bad for Hinano's team tho, they get bullied every game and had to rotate early too. I'm rooting for at least seven teams last night. Towa's improvement is just phenomenal but my most surprised PIkachu face moment is Elu's team performance with Rampart and Loba doing good placement throughout the cup.

Coming back from behind to take the win in the last CR Cup. Unless they decide to bring it back in the future, history will always have their names as the final champion of the Cup, alongside the other names for the other 9 Cups. Not shown in the video, but Wagamama's team got to 1st place by 2 points. That's how close it was in the end.
Towa was among the first I followed closely on APEX and later in these kinds of tournaments, and I still have fond memories of that previous team up, with Selly, Towa and Bora. So glad Towa was able to accomplish another CR cup win, this time with Selly.
Random note/trivia/happenings, in one of the two incidents that earned team Sanmen Kyoujin (Kuzuha, Daruma, Jasper) the last Ojiji prize of Troll dolls, Kuzuha accidentally dropped his team way too early and in the following confusion every member of the team had to try to fly half way across the map to reach their team landmark West Fragment from around the Tree; Kuzuha and Daruma couldn't make it through the mountain and had to go around, Jasper made it across the mountain but ran straight into Tie_Ru (landmark Landslide) and become that team kill point.
This one kill point had ended up giving Rururu team the one point difference to get 3rd place instead of Astel/Tsuna/Mother team (though, in the other troll incident in a different match Kuzuha also gave Tsuna a kill point when he got like Alt-tab to desktop; Astel team total kill points for that match was 3).

Getting into a fight with the #1 JP Apex player early in the last round was really unfortunate.
And it was by Cheeky, basically the #1 JP player; they weren't going to get away from him and fighting it out wasn't likely to end in their favor without 3rd party involvement. They had managed to avoid encountering Cheeky's team up until then, including the scrims; so it was just really unlucky.

Also to be noted, Holostars Astel Leda's Team took the Champion TWICE in this CR Cup (1st & 4th Round). He teamed up with Tsuna & Mother3, so NO PRED was on his team, yet he took 2 Champions, with MAD MAGGIE nontheless. If they weren't so unlucky to get ambushed & killed early in the last round, they would have made it to Top 3 for sure. HoloPro Teams totally swept this last CR Cup.

A while back last year, I remember hearing quite a few pros talk about the future of the game. Many felt as if the game stagnated and some felt that it wouldn't be viable to have tournaments like these anymore due to that, from both an audience and competitors perspective. A lot of streamers have been slowly backing off from the game and playing other FPS games like Rainbow Six Siege or Valorant. There may be other tournaments for games like those in the coming future, and from a streamers side of things, it make sense to play those other games to prepare. It's probably more that the game has been lacking an increase in popularity, rather than not having a significant decrease, if that makes sense.
I love the game but have to admit that it has felt a bit monotonous lately and especially frustrating since they changed how competitive works.

There's also the fact that Towa's first team with Selly, Yumekawa Purple, was very strong in scrims but Towa ended up messing up hard on the day of the tournament due to pressure. Towa probably felt like she owed Selly the trophy and now she's finally paid him back. There's just so much emotional payoff in this if you have followed Towa's journey since she first entered the CR cup.

This might be a stupid question. Why is it the last CR Cup for Apex? Is Crazy Racoon focusing on other games now or it's something else?
Speculatively, they are looking at the viewership count and see that Apex Legends is not garnering enough viewership counts compared to Overwatch and Valorant, so they want to send this off and put it on indefinite hiatus until there's more demand for Apex Legends.

Nah, I don't think EA is the company that can bring back the popularity of the game, and apex itself is not a game that in a couple of updates can bring back the audience. Most likely the game will be abandoned in the near future, and a new one will be developed.
Sadly, Apex peaked during the pandemic, and right now people are looking for anything else that isn't Third Party Legends.

It may be 3rd Party Legends but at the end of the day I'd rather that than getting into multiple 1 second shootouts spending 50% of my time dead doing nothing or playing with a team that refuses to tank or heal.

The human aim bot that never win the CR Cup and now he's got the crown
Towa is the ultimate incalculable wildcard because she has the mechanical skill of a low diamond player but support and instincts of a pred player. Even when she was playing with Aqua her support really lets the vanguard be aggressive. Selly is a beast but it was partly thanks to Towa he really let loose and got 21 kills.
This analysis is spot-on, she can un-aggro the aggressive player by providing well rounded comms.
in other words she used to play with strong players she can even put a leash to maddog onion. those who barely knows aqua agressive play will never know amazing feat that is. there's a reason why most of her play used to be sololive
This is why I dislike Holofans lol. Discrediting Selly's mechanics and saying it's thanks to Towa lol.

Not to mention that Towa literally started playing Gibby because of selly and her 2 first tournaments she used him, she was specifically using him to support selly.

His team was well within striking distance of the top spot heading into the final round. Unfortunately his team was surprised and eliminated very early by Cheeky's (Rank 1 in JP...) team.
Bad luck in the end, but his team played brilliantly and should definitely be proud of their performance.
@@feelingpine9123 And the gap between 3rd and 4th was only 1 point iirc. So but for that unlucky early encounter with Cheeky wiping them there was a good chance for them to secure a top rank. But yes, their performance for having no Predators or other professionals on the team- and Mother being more or less a complete newbie trying to reapply Valo play-experience- was an incredibly strong showing for this kind of lobby.

not really comeback bcs people quite expect it since they win in first few match and they win again in the last match. but these team the real definition of miracle bcs no one expect it you should watch other team reaction they look so suprise. even so many streamer stay streaming untill very last crcup broadcast to see who will be the winner (they usually stop streaming after last match)

It was mainly thanks to Selly. Son of a beach killed 11 people on his own and orchestrated / assisted many of the kills they got in the last round.

For Apex anyway. EA's not really supporting these private tournaments anymore and the game's life cycle is dwindling worldwide, even in Japan where it's still relatively popular.
