I bought an official Black Library Deathwatch audio drama from Audible. I sent it back as it all seemed a little forced and melodramatic. This however, was infinitely better. The narration kept the pace and urgency ongoing without loosing any of the character. The selection of music was perfect and perfectly mixed into the piece where I wasn't aware of how it was complimenting the tension and urgency being delivered in the narration. Top stuff!
Just goes to show you that this kind of narration is truly not easy to achieve... It requires an understanding of the characters, environment and much more in order to deliver something of this quality... (and injecting fitting music at opportune parts is one hell of a bonus) I think we can agree that Paul is damn good at what he does 🔥

I wish this was written by me! It was in a killteam codex. I try and keep this channel as much fan fiction as possible but sometimes these pieces are too good!
I love deathwatch. They are the spec ops of space marines. And on tabletop you can do some weird loadouts with them that make since but cant be done with normal chapters

" Sanguineous lend me your Might !"gave me chills and goosebumps of excitement. It was clear that the enemy had different values. That was high octane, for sure. I would love to hear you narrate someone's live game like this. Since the points are matched it could be pretty epic and make for a great story. It would be awesome if someone as clever as you and the authors were to, in a bard like fashion, narrate the campaigns and battles. Moments that happen quick would be described in vivid and precise details. The characters would come alive! I'm sure you're about done with all my platitudes and musings. Thank you for tolerating my ponderous nature.
