Well, the last 7 months have been a short festival. Am bullish long term but you can’t deny that Tesla is down the last 3 years and down big last 7 months. The shorts are the winners in this timeframe. No one stays short all the time, you go in and out.

I think they are fine. If you went short in September you have been way up till yesterday. Two days of hype and 7 months of down, and you think the shorts are the dumb?!
No one is short all the time, you go in and out. Fact is that Tesla is flat for 3 years 7 months, and down big last 3 years.
I sold at 265-280, my only regret it that I didn’t short the stock afterwards. If you want to make money you should ride the train both ways.

I bought a used model 3 a few months ago that came with advance autopilot, so I just purchased FDS for $2000, I feel like I got the deal off the century... this sh*t is for real. I love it

@@CEMOZ1210 Yeah, I guess, when I bought the car the previous owner had bought Acceleration Boost which is 2K, rear heated seats (I'm not sure how much that was) and advanced autopilot, up until the recent price change the app showed that I could uop grade to FSD for 6K. After the recent price change it said 2K, though if you sell the car you loose everything, it all goes with the car. I bought from a tesla store, only had 7K miles... I guess the guy purchased too many accessories cause he defaulted on the car loan.

Tesla didn’t fully utilize their 3 million vehicle production capacity as planned so strategy changed to build more models on same lines rather than build more capacity - simple as that

He's long term, he's on the inside (more so than possibly anyone else in the investment community), and he's understood the mission at depth for a long time. HIs enthusiasm - coupled with that of Cathie Wood's - is the strongest possible buy signal! :)

An interesting statistic on FSD, from Tesla, "With FSD Supervised enabled, the chance of an accident is around 5x lower compared to the US average in 2023." Elon said on the conference call that if FSD unsupervised becomes half the accident rate of a human driver then it would be hard for regulators to not approve FSD because of the number of lives it would save. Experienced professional taxi drivers (not part-time UBER drivers) have an accident rate of 1/3 of the average driver. This means that an average driver using FSD supervised is less likely to get into an accident than a professional driver without FSD. Initially, you might be safer in a supervised Robotaxi than in an unsupervised level 5 Robotaxi until the Robtaxi can get to a level 1/5 or fewer accidents than the average driver.

@@sparkysho-ze7nm FSD will easily become twice as better (half the accident rate) as human drivers that should allow legalization. But getting to 5x better to be on par with supervised FSD is another level. I hope by the time the Cybertaxi is rolled out it will have achieved this otherwise you could legitimately feel safer if there was a driver in the Cybercab.
At one point I was up about 400% on TSLA …… and then, feeling over confident, I bought a ton more after the stock went from approx $400.00/sh to $100.00/sh ….. then I got my bigger position on the way back up, at $290.00/sh in my TFSA …… and sadly, now I’m down about 45% at the moment ….

I also bought more and more over time, I am down too. But, we have committed a lot of money. That‘s on the plus side. Longterm it will work out fine. A new investor buys maybe now - but you don‘t commit as much if you start buying a stock I assume… It will work out for us :)

Ford recall my friend’s F150 Lightning is in the shop for the recall. While it’s there for days (he doesn’t know how long it’ll be there) the dealership gave him a nice, newish ICE loaner. So while his truck is in recall shop he has to buy gasoline to drive the loaner. Ugh.

My only regret for FSD after trying this month is that I realized it is already a better driver than I am. I am buying.
FSD is not close to robotaxi level. I just drove from MO to UT. I had to push the accelerator many times because it would not go the cruise control speed. Several times it ignored posted speed limit changes. It was sprinkling lightly and I got the warning that full self driving will be degraded. I want 12.4 for comparison.

I think Elon did cancel the original Model 2 that uses next generation manufacturing because there is too much risks in it. Elon wants to first build some basic variants of model 3/Y that can be manufactured using existing production line.

V12 is like a bad but safe driver, who occasionally makes an amazing decision.
Battery death spiral for other EV makers as they cancel contracts and Tesla buys at low cost locking up future supply.
This is what will lead to multiple concessions when the low cost vehicle hits at prices no one can compete with their hybrid nonsense.
The existing models will also fall dramatically & Tesla will be able to make up margins on the robotaxi & the lower cost models coming.
Ice will come in a line to make FSD license deals next year or they will die.

I think they should only count disengagement if you leave a message. I have disengaged by mistake, I have disengaged because I changed the route path, I have disengaged cause I just felt like driving. These should not count, but no way for them to distinguish. If I disengaged due to a problem, I leave a message.

Doesn’t it make sense that the 25k car is actually going to be the cyber cab?? With full self driving appearing to be right around the corner and a fully autonomous robo taxi being projected to be able to earn 30k per year, perhaps Elon has realized it would be far more profitable to make them and keep them as taxis.
Waymos entire fleet is only 300 cars and Telsa could potentially match that with only spending 7.5million purchasing their own 25k car product. Plus Tesla currently has 27billion in cash!! If telsa spent half their cash pile on their 25k car/cybercab then their taxi fleet would be 540,000 (1800x larger than waymos).
And thats not even including all the individual telsa car owners who choose to add their cars to the taxi fleet

This creates a way for Tesla and non-Telsa FSD-enabled cars to dominate the future car market. At this point, I hope Optimus will be our next big money-maker making Telsa as the most valuable company in the world.

I live in Canada (Vancouver) and we have plenty of roundabouts. Although, when a roundabout is very small, it sort of functions like an optional four-way stop.
@@eyesuckle I thought Canada would have a lot of roundabouts. I know you can find a few in the US these days but the yanks are not keen on them. I have seen a four-way stop signed intersection for decades. There maybe some left in OZ but I don't know where. Roundabouts are safer even if a lot of people don't indicate properly when approaching and leaving them. While Tesla's goals are more aligned with the Democratic party's than the Republican Party's. . . well, the Republican party doesn't really have goals any more, other than to hold onto power and nay say whatever the Democrats attempt to accomplish. But in general, I would say that today's Democratic Party is far more interested in protecting the environment than the Republican Party is. So that alone tends to leave them better aligned (in practice) with Tesla.
At the same time, Biden and the Democrats have done a good job of snubbing Telsa. For some bizarre reason, they've chosen to credit GM with "leading" the electric vehicle revolution in America--a clearly absurd statement. I'm really not sure what is behind the Democrats' beef with Tesla. It might be as simple as GM contributing heavily to the Democratic Party with campaign donations? By all rights, they should be praising Tesla to the skies as an American success story. It's just weird.
A no vote on Elons package is like shooting both your own feet off. If no, I think Elon will leave. If Elon leave I will sell all my shares. I think many others will too.
