How to fit Racing CDI to V-Clic without blowing fuse

The V-Clic uses a DC CDI as standard. If you fit an AC CDI (as most race units are) it will blow the fuse.
This video shows an easy fix and allows you to use the race CDI without issue.

Is it possible that the CDI drains the battery while at rest? Since I installed the Racing CDI, it's harder to start in the morning?

It is very unlikely that the CDI drains the battery, since its not actually connected to the battery unless the ignition is turned on. More likely is that you've got a bad ground somewhere. try running a new wire from the battery negative to the engine, and see if that helps.
