Great lesson. My late Father saw Bob Will’s & The Texas Playboys several times towards the end of WWII when he was stationed in Texas & Oklahoma. I’ll never forget my Dad hollering “Take it away Leon, take it away, Aha” - imitating Bob Will’s.

@@Damianblf The problem is the term "Western Swing". Many Rock music fans including me assumed it means corny country crap when I NOW know it's fiercely rocking cool music that lies at the very foundation of Rockabilly and ALL ROCK& ROLL!

I knew very little about rockabilly guitar and after getting a couple of his videos and watching all of his lessons online, i can now play a set or two! If you are reading this, you have come to a great place for learning and playing rockabilly, jump blues, swing, jazz, etc.

What I don't understand is no one talks about the other version of fat boy rag. I learned it 20 years ago. Asleep at the wheel played it on Austin city limits. Seems like people either know one or the other. But not both.

I know both and will be doing a video on that version soon. Both are great tunes and I equally enjoy both. :)

The good version of Fat Boy Rag. The version they did around the same time that's more commonly covered is so boring comparatively
