I have a alpicool refrigerator which looks to me to be identical to this one. I've had it for 2 years using it every day in my lawncare buisness and it's amazing. pretty much it has been plugged in since I got it in my truck on the medium battery protection mode and on max cool. The only problem I've had is an employee shoved it in behind the seat and broke the power port off but it was easily fixed with JB weld. My 12v outlets in my truck stay on so it always has power.
I purchased a Koolatron cooler and couldn't store enough wattage to run it all night long with seven RV batteries fully charged by 3pm. until 10am in the morning. Have a 400watt solar system to charge the RV batteries. During the winter months. Like to have a low voltage cut off alarm at 12.2volts.
I might have to pick this up for hanging out at the camp site.. I can plug it into the under bay 12 volt and have cold drinks all day long.. Thanks for sharing...
Box in box in box made me think of the Russian nesting dolls lol. Glad you showed how big it is inside. Didn't look very large before you set the water in it. It's awesome they give such a long cord. Seems like a perfect size.
Thank you for this review... I am looking for the smallest fridge I can find that is still a "Real Quality Fridge" something for SUV car camping. Lunch meat, cheese, coffee creamer and whatever soda cans it will fit. This may be it...
I’m shopping for a 40-60 quart 12v/120v freezer/refrigerator. We have a 12 cubic foot 12v/LP 4 door refrigerator freezer in our fifth wheel but having extra freezer or fridge space is a necessity when the grandsons are on board.
Hey y’all.... it looks like a baby Dometic. I use a 65 quart dual zone in my semi and I absolutely would not work without it, but a smaller one like the one you are reviewing seems like it would be excellent when we are traveling with our grandkids. I’m going to check it out. We can plug it into the SUV.
i accidentally discovered a setting in which i pushed and held the "minus" and "power" buttons together when its poweredoff; unlocks settings on screen display "CC" and when i push minus and plus it scrolls through cc en ch nl hh? i dont see these advanced settings in the product manual, can you help me? what do those settings mean?
When companies send products or email requests for you to tryout and review, are you selective? What pitfalls have you experienced? Also, how do you filter out spam requests? For products you do not like, do your return them? Just curious. Thanks
Yeah, we're very selective. Basically, what I do is try to figure out if it's a product that I would use. And if I don't like it the product that sent to me It's just kept. I don't do a review on it and I explained to the supplier what the problem was. There's hardly any spam request because obviously they're giving out product. So it's not like they're trying to rip you off. Most of the requests come from marketing Brokers I guess you could call it. Actually, I guess some of it is sort of like spam because they do send out a blanketed statement. Like we love your video, We like what you show, And we have a product that we think you'd be interested in And some of the product request you can tell that there's just no way that they have watched any of our videos They're just sending out emails hoping that somebody might want to review their product. . Pitfalls that We really have run into is that a lot of these products that they're trying to push or just crazy junk that we would not use. Or they're not applicable to anything to do with RV life. And of course junk.
@@Rvdaydream thank you. I'm looking into buying the 30 quart. I have limited space in the back of my Jeep. I plan on hardwiring it to my yellow top deep cycle battery. I would like to hear any recommendations you have. I'm planning a 3-month overlanding trip.
I've had this baby 18 months. It's priceless!
I bought this refrigerator last week. Been working flawlessly. The switch and the fuse isn't accessible without taking it apart on my newer model.

Great video. Do you know off hand what the minimum watt/size portable battery would be to run this when the vehicle is turned off? Thanks
Sorry, not sure... Try the MFG direct... Contact them thru the Amazon link in the video description..

Great review thank you! Is there any performance difference between 12v or using the ac adaptor?
Great question... No difference.. It worked great both ways. 😁👍

Have no idea..
Hello RVdaydream, do you know how much power does it drain? I have a 100W solar panel and a 100Ah battery so not sure if that will do.
Thanks!

Who cares about water bottles? What I want to know, Mike, is how many frozen pizza boxes can I put in there? LOL!!! Great review.
Thanks,
Pat
Excellent but I already bought it a few days ago so I missed out on any discounts!
So am I seeing this correctly, you can use this just as a freezer?
Yes and that is what we did. 😁👍
Did you say it was made in Germany? Thanks
No.. The Danfoss compressor is designed in Denmark, this compressor is styled after the Danfoss design..
