Another dci transcription, This one was a headache do (the time signature kept changing to much) but I tried my best, enjoy! Sheet music: musescore.com/...
honestly the recording makes them sound like they’re in 6th grade learning mellophone, but sometimes i recorded myself and i sound like this too. These guys are the best in the world so recording just makes things worse
0:36 I was like “what is the technique behind that sprint, is this some kind of jazz run” then realized it was a victory run. It doesn’t matter much I guess in this case but still funny😂😂
You mean the mf? If you don’t know that means metzo forte which is essentially a quieter forte but not at a piano. That’s the best way I would describe it
You’re describing dynamics. Mezzo-Forte is a (very loosely defined) volume level. Intonation is the accuracy of pitch. But yeah the intonation could’ve been better. A little shaky, but considering how much these guys are moving, not bad.
I played mello 84-87 with the Marauders. The highest we ever got in DCI was 13th, but this sounds horrible. No jealousy, SCV was my favorite back in the day. I'm all for featuring the mello, but this sounds beginner.
Sounds it on the go pro but in person and on the front camera/mic it's def better. The mic on his camera peaks in and out, also just one persons pov and sounds
common sense (none of it)
This whole show is a mello feature
+drums
One of the best dci shows ever with a legendary mello section. Great job.
Mello moment
Cooma la la cooma la la
Whats the song at the very beginning?
@widebodiede30 The first piece in this video was Journey to the Centre of the Earth by Peter Graham.
It’s amazing how amazing they sound on the hard stuff and how bad they sound on the easy stuff. It’s almost like it was written that way.
Guess what they practice most. ;)
best show of all time
Ah yes. Babylon. The show when Drum Corps International peaked in quality. (My opinion)
YES!!!! YOU NEVER MISS!!!
4:37 that ding hurt my soul
amazing job man, keep it up! The only thing is that you didn't transcribe the voicelines/callouts

wtf are you talking about
@@tyronium2 do u never sound bad in a recording? people buy mics worth thousands of dollars that make them sound how they actually sound
In what world does a 6th grader sound like this 😭
@@sillycatgamingREAL i’m talking tone buddy. it just sounds choppy from the recording is all

In what world will the mello part be transcribed to trumpet... but still the mello part
Bro this is so true, the amount of times I try to transpose mellophone parts is insane 😂
funnily enough, weeks later after making this comment, I switched to Mellophone LOL@@AdenCooper-v8i if you can't beat them... join

Ok hear me out. You made scv 2018 in reverse. Time to transcribe it??? At least my body in a cage. That baritone duet backwards is something else

When I get access to the music I'll make sure to post it asap
Im so tired
What about the claw
Why were the the rips at the beginning writen as three note phrases instead of glissandi?
I assume easier to measure the duration of each note.

Curious to know if you know what the first selecton is taken from?
Journey to the Center of The Earth by Peter Graham
As well as Metropolis 1927 by Peter Graham in the show
The intonation at 4:42💀
