Absolutely awesome event again. Riders going to the absolute extreme. There's just nothing like it in this world: Speed, crashes, drone footage, personal comments. It's just so amazing!!!
Its so strange for some of us that have not been following the foil disciplines because we see names at the top we never knew about. Definitely foil has mixed people up which along with the sudden death crashes makes things very interesting
Great recap video Ben thanks. Im the meantime who, what, where, when, why, how is Nikolas Goyard obliterating the PWA competition? Never heard of him before but amazing racing 👏
He's an IQ foil specialist, but he also won the Israel tour stop during Covid. He is winning left and right because he registered only for Fuerteventura and his gear is taylored to the spot. The others had to register their kit for the whole tour. Therefore their wings are too big for Fuerteventura. He's bloody good as well, holding the foil GPS record at 41 kts.
How come in the women the fin is holding up to the foil but in the mens there are not a single one on fin? Wind conditions are most likely the same as the races are back to back.
There could be a few reasons.. SQ is bloody fast!!! The women foilers are lighter than the men. So struggling to get the power down in the same wind strengths. Plus. There maybe other reasons..
@@WindsurfingTVI would give the weight argument a different spin: because women are lighter they carry more speed through the turns while racing on fins. I feel like the big men on fins slow down more in the jibes. But maybe I'm wrong

@WindsurfingTV Thx for the answer! I'm a fin fan myself so like seeing the fin also racing.
