I think what your hearing is the lack of editing which is just supposed to show how naturally tight he is...this to me sounds like very unprocessed drum tones not horribly processed in the wrong way
This was actually done at my studio, but not with our engineers. GK brought in their own engineer. and from what i remember he was told specifically to leave it as raw as possible. i do think the drums could be louder though.
I love that he's making studio videos but can we please start getting more songs besides the most popular three from each album? ABR is my favorite band but lets see songs like Treatment, The First Step, Blackwood, Separating the Seas!
The toughest ones might not be in the highest demand though. That's what YOU want to see. yeah. But i doubt that's what the MAJORITY wants to see. I'd love to see a play through of Everlasting Ending or Broken Promises, but those aren't really the crowd favorites, y'know?

I think he sometimes uses gk snares but that’s it with abr. Adam gray on the other hand uses the gk kit and snare for his band Texas in July before they stopped being active.
