    Modeling over LiDAR scan is also quite fun for interior design - too bad that the LiDAR Scanner has a distance limitation and suffers from deformations / drifting

    Nice video! Love the specific coverage for using the scans for pre-viz! I'd also give the Polycam app a try -- it should do a better job getting a cleaner reconstruction with fewer holes :)

    Hi, is there a tutorial for the flashlight light that you use in the beginning of the video? Im very new to Blender and I want to make a project with the lidar scanner!

    How do we improve the textures? It’s the only down fall. Would it be possible to manually make the textures from the images?

    Everything I take ends up looking curved and melted all over. I can’t get an exact replica of any object. I’ve tried sweeping with the phone slowly and steady and all that but it’s always the same result. Why?

    Too bad that the LiDAR Scanner has shifting and distance Limitations
    Last car garage space I scanned resulted into terrible distortions

    Wow. Just add some fake lens blur and you could even record actors/dialogs this way.
