Nice video buddy. You already know that I agree with you 100% that we should all be out walking every day for multiple reasons. Many of which you touched on here in this video. Well done and keep them coming.

When I was in Thailand in June for a month,I walked every day every where.I didn’t realise I was walking about 12km a day.would come back to the hotel and sleep like a baby. When I went back to Australia not walking made me depressed and anxiety. Going back to Thailand soon to get my mental health and wellbeing by walking again. Thank you for your valuable topic.

Totally agree with your comments around some sort of daily exercise. I like to walk as well. I try to walk 5 days a week in the morning, after coffee. I take my dogs with me so they get some exercise as well. I am retired as well and sometimes called for specialized work away from home, so occasionally I am away for 4 or 5 weeks and will walk every day after breakfast to get my brain into gear and in the evening just to wind down after my day. When I was working full time, I did not walk, as I was always very active physically with walking at work. I could get up from my office and walk and inspect the plants I work on, to interact with the operators etc, so similar I suppose. . It helps with me to get out in the community and interact with other people as you say.
When I retired, I began to volunteer at the Rural Fire Brigade and have been an active member for years now. I find this good as well.
I live in the country now and my daily walk is in a rural setting, but I love to walk and sit near the water. Seems to relax me more. I was injured last year and could not walk more than about 10 steps without a lot of pain, and was on the couch for months. That along with Christmas and now the winter comfort food is also playing havoc with my weight. I am back walking now and in summer finish off with a couple of laps in the pool and some exercises in the pool. I agree that you need the contact with the community or close family for mental health. And sometimes it is what you eat with the coffee can be relaxing, but bad for your waistline. But you're a long time dead, Steve, so enjoy life as well.

The biggest drawback to walking in Thailand is not actually the weather but the horrendous condition of the sidewalks
For us older folks the danger of falling is a real threat.

i posted a comment but its disappeared, unless YT blocked it (very probable), Yes walking is great but try backwards on a turfed or flat beach area, works different muscles, helps the knees. YT channel "I am Longevity" has some great info, exercises etc to improve fitness and flexibility he is our age and fit as a Fiddle. Weight loss try Keto and OMD (one meal a day), i lost 18kg's.
A Great Asian herb for Arthritis is "Pennywort" (Centella asiatica, commonly known as Indian pennywort, Asiatic pennywort, spadeleaf, coinwort or gotu kola and in Thailand Bua Bok). Also for Vit B try "Nutritional Yeast" very tasty on salads, mains and soups etc. Lots of health info on Dr Berg YT (11m followers) backed up with Data links.

I enjoyed that Channel, until found out from his son ( trying to escape with his life ) that he ( Berg) is a Scientologist. Enough for me, not getting my support or money 🤔🙄
Ps agree with Steve walking is great. It was for me for years, not now though.
Agree too I don't want Statins, BP, Levo meds either.
But listening to Steve has been cathartic thank you.
Wouldb't it be nice, if we could all find somewhere, to just enjoy.
Doesn't have to be near water, if you haven't got it.
My youngest lives in a busy City, but the Harbour area every morning helps him.
For others, hopefully in a rural area, near a Park, you can still look up, find something to enjoy about your surroundings.
Practicing relaxation & Mindfulness can brung so much ease.
For some it can take a few days, to feel total benefits 💯👏🫶
