Yep, found that out my first time playing; and it's for free! Walker just walks up to it and gives it the Fonz treatment and the jukebox does whatever he wants it to do lol
@@elverdaderoechomikeoscar The original release version of Hard Reset included a picture of the character Varni (Walker's companion/saviour/love interest) that showed her as a real babe with big b00bs. Some players didn't like that, so she was "nerfed" to be more "realistic" and "fitting" to the game in later versions.
Neptune Oil...I wonder if it's a reference to Poseidon Oil from Fallout? The Sierra Madre bar may also be a reference to the Sierra Madre casino from Fallout New Vegas DLC, Dead Money
I can't believe I didn't think to put 2 and 2 together when I said "O L"... makes complete sense that it says oil LOL And yep! I thought the same thing about the Sierra Madre bar as well... thankfully at least there's no Ghost People here o.o
@@GoodOleDFT It depends on your play style. In my opinion, the extended mag for the police pistol is the least necessary (and also most expensive) upgrade.
@Redflacket True, and understandable. I never got that one, both because at first 9mm light bullets were too rare to justify it, and later because Hard Reset hands you modular rifle ammo in whole bushels, and I didn't need the pistol to be my rapid-fire hi-cap option. That said, I don't remember if the silencer makes the pistol more accurate. If that's a thing, it's super worth it.
@Redflacket Ye, I know. But on that front, at least in the current version, I didn't find the pistol super useful as a stealth weapon, the crowbar does the job until you get the boltcaster. And sometimes suppressors act as barrel extenders by raising accuracy and stability, like Scav's machine pistol. So if that applies to the police pistol, that would mean the suppressor is an useful upgrade in every situation.
Oooh, I'm definitely going to have to go with the Junker Musket, fully upgraded. Granted I would take both in my arsenal if I could. The Modular Rifle with my choice of upgrades for CQB to midrange combat, and then the Junker Musket railgun mod for sniping. That being said, I hope the Battle Rifle from Dead Man Walking comes back in Episode 3 LOL
The Junker Driver, hands down. The modular rifle is Walker's only automatic and better used that way. For long range shooting you have a better option later on.
It does? That's the version I'm playing but it didn't have that setting turned on for my default. Unless that only applies to the other Ashes episodes lol
@@Chozo_Ghost On this pc I've only installed Ashes 2063 previous standalone and this one. Maybe you have some settings saved in the Windows registry? For example when I deleted save games and "reinstalled" Hard Reset standalone the saves were still there somewhere. It's possible some of the settings stored somewhere else... dunno.
For what it's worth, I use DarkDoomZ set to the "Compress" modifier on "Dim" intensity. With VKDoom set to "Classic" sector light level, that's basically the old Dark mode, and it's always saved between sessions. For those that don't want to use that mod, you can always create a bind with this command on the console.

Btw you can change jukebox music in the bar. Although 2 other tracks sound so loud that you can't hear the barman's voice actor lol

Not only Walker and you need booze to drown & forget that final fight at the School, now i want some too. 2:42
Need some booze to forget the gorgeous version of Varni that they replaced after people complained about it being too sexy...
@@Redflacket What?

Life is good, life is good, Chozo Ghost is playing more Ashes and Strife than he probably should; life is good! :D
You could sell medkits at that gas station to get money/scrap to upgrade the pistol. Edit: at later levels some merchants buy/sell medkits too.
I'm always afraid to sell mine in case I run into an emergency in later levels. LOL
I've found regens way more worth it to have than medkits, with food for healing in settlements, so I trade them away.

Yeah thank god. Though the Empties and Withered are good replacements! @Chozo_Ghost
So very sweet with a nice place to visit. Also... the "heh heh, you said 'X'" thing on "hard". XD
I actually didn't even plan that one, and I felt it was too funny not to include LOL
Don't forget to get the silencer for your police pistol! ;)
Honestly that's the least necessary upgrade in the campaign IME.

Jimmy the salesman looks like Dr. Brenner lol
Huh so that’s what you sound like lolol. Good stuff man.

witch weapon would you say is better the scope attachment on the modular rifle from hard reset or the Junker musket fully upgraded from Afterglow

Algorithm : )
Too bad you can't save that gl_maplightmode 3 and you have to execute every time you start the game
You can just play Ashes: Stand Alone Version 1.04 from moddb and it has all the settings set by default by the developers
@@igor_logvinov oh thanks! I'll try it out
