The Benefits of Restarting your Computer Flushes RAM - RAM stands for Random Access Memory and is your computer’s main type of memory. It’s also known as volatile memory because it is constantly in flux. RAM handles short-term tasks and data. Therefore, when you restart your computer, you flush out all the random, unimportant, and temporary data bogging down your device. Speeds up Performance - Reboots are known to keep computers running quickly. By flushing the RAM, your computer can run a lot faster without all those temporary files piled onto your PC’s memory. Stops Memory Leaks - These occur when a program doesn’t close properly. Many programs borrow your computer’s RAM while open then return it when you close the program out. However, outdated, overused or glitch programs may end up forgetting to return that memory, resulting in memory leaks. Rebooting can help prevent memory leaks from occurring. Fixes Internet Connection - Sometimes computers lose their connection to the Internet and will need to be reset. The first plan of action is to restart your computer. Restarting will reset the connection. However, please note that if restarting your computer doesn’t solve your connectivity issues, you may have to reboot your router or require further servicing. Bug Fixes - Computers that go without reboots for extended periods are prone to an assortment of irksome bugs and glitches. These annoyances include programs running at a slower pace than usual, unexpected system freeze-ups. Good Information Bro! I don't usually comment but just a few notes in this case If I may... Regarding Double NAT, bridge mode or disabling DHCP in the second router are the band aid solutions. If configured properly, Double NAT is not necessarily bad and can even promote better network security by isolating networks. If you are having internet issues in a double NAT network, it could be improper DNS configuration, an improper routing table entry, or uPNP disabled in one or both routers for games/services that need it. If you are a regular home user, in most cases, you wouldn't need to worry about Double NAT. It's only a major problem if you plan to host services to be accessible over the public internet (such as your own web server or your own MMO server). In such case, you could just configure your outer (first line) router to port forward the traffic to your inner (second line) router and then configure your inner (second line) router to port forward traffic to your servers. A better solution would be setting up a DMZ (which would also require port forwarding). In both solutions however, if you don't have a public static IP address provided by your ISP, you will need to coordinate with them and try to ask to setup port forwarding from their end (if they will allow it). Alternatively, you can try DynamicDNS. Corporate environments are actually setup in multi-layer NATs (not just double) and DMZ is usually their solution for opening web services (such as email) for outside internet users. They are also sure to have public static IP addresses provided by their ISPs as part of the corporate internet line subscription. Additionally, NAT does not actually handle routing. What it does is it replaces the IP address of your PC (the source) with its own IP address (the routers IP address) before the router forwards the traffic to the internet (destination). So if you have many devices connected to the router, the internet will only see one IP address - your routers IP address. NAT hides the details of your local network by being the public figure that communicates with the internet (kinda like the presidential speaker speaking on behalf of the President). NAT is designed this way to prevent exhausting the limited number of IPv4 addresses and also promote security.
thank you for this informative and well written post 💯 About a month ago I couldn't get my Converge router/modem to bridge mode so I spent an afternoon trying DMZ and port forwarding. Unfortunately Converge seems to be using carrier grade nat so those were a bust as well (goes back somewhat to your point on needing a public static ip). All of this trouble because I wanted to access my home plex serve outside of the house :p Interestingly I am able to access the plex server using mobile data but can't access it outside using a "wired" connection.
Interesting... Do you mean to say that the plex server itself is tethered to your phone? or do you mean that your phone (on mobile data) can reach the plex server while the host computer is connected to Converge? if you mean the former... then it is possible that Converge has firewall rules in place that block incoming connections originating from the internet to reaching its subscribers by default either for security or business opportunity. I don't really know the terms of service that this ISP has neither the internet plan that you have... but, regardless of intention, making any service available/accessible on the internet can be used for digital business. I'm sure Converge knows that so it is possible that they are not allowing such connections for home based plans and reserves it only for business plans. I would suggest contacting Converge support to inquire about it and possibly request an exception to allow the flow of traffic to pass. However if you mean the latter... then that is indeed weird. Converge has faulty configurations? Who knows?

Instead of restart/shutdown, SIGN-OUT account then shutdown is the best practice. Kernel state is programmed to your account not in the system overall. You can test this by creating multiple window accounts.

The most basic definition for NAT is it is the one responsible for translating private IP addresses (assigned to our end devices) to a single public IP (usually) to be able to route through the Internet. Without NAT, you won'tbe able to use the Internet because private IP's are non-routable. FYI.
the RAM confusion can be easily sorted out if people read the memory QVL for the mobo before/when purchasing their RAM kits... ISP's in the Philippines are very good in marketing, skipping on details like upload speeds or putting guaranteed consistencies in fine print, attaching the word fiber without detailing if it's just fiber-sourced, fiber on an end or both ends, some may call it deceptive...
no if you set it to bridge mode it's basically telling the PLDT router/modem to pass on all data to the third party router, so you won't be able to use the wifi of the PLDT router modem that assumes though you can actually set the PLDT router/modem to bridge mode
For clearer technical understanding, 1 Byte = 8 bit. But, ung sinasabi pa nilang "up to" para safe sila hahaha
Yung sa thumb screws understandable kasi some old and some present thumb screws wala talagang philips or flat screw head. Funny that its not only me that had this moment. a tip also is to use your shirt or cloth to add grip the same goes when you use clothing to uncap a bottled water. Sometimes it will look like it is not helping but it does losen the thread.
Hybrid Shutdown - Ito yung save state muna bago magpower-off then pag napowerOn mo na, load state to RAM then instant boot agad Shutdown - Totally emptied state then power-off then matagal nga lang nag next boot mo kasi walang nakasave state dun Restart - Shutdown and restart yan yung term na ginagamit sa power options.
Nag-iiba din ang functions ng shutdown and restart while holding down the shift key. Shift + shutdown na ata ang "real shutdown". Heard that from PH/GN (or maybe from you din, I can't recall).
Ok na yung honest kesa yung nagmamarunong
True
To get the equivalent MB/s, just divide the Mbps by 8. Like kung naka-50mbps ka that would be equivalent to 6MB/s.
sounds about right.... sa 100 mbps net speed ko i usually get at around 12MBps download speed...
Lawyer ka nga talaga sir, you got me at "read the fine print" 🤣✌️
the devil is always in the details
Nice thumbs up ako don sa restart natsambahan ko yung idea habang nag stream ako shout out mo naman ako idol
Another very informative Vids. Thanks Bro! By the way I like your video appearance set up now. 👍
haha that's actually my brother's rig - the lighting is much better there :p
Knowlegable,,thank you kuya
Nice info sir.

Very informative! Thank you for this sir!
More power to your vlog.
finally someone talked about internet speeds... napaka maling marketing minsan sa mga ads yung casing ng letters nila.. di mo alam kung aware sila or hindi.. question lang pala sa NAT pag nag bridge mode ba ako sa pldt fibr magagamit ko pa rin as wifi nung modem? yung another router na pinang extend ko yung 5g niya biglang nag rereset pag nag sspeed test ako or playing hd videos sa tv sa another router I thought its because of duplicated addresses on dhcp pero wala naman conflicts.
no if you set it to bridge mode it's basically telling the PLDT router/modem to pass on all data to the third party router, so you won't be able to use the wifi of the PLDT router modem
that assumes though you can actually set the PLDT router/modem to bridge mode
hahaha megabit pala..loko talaga yung isp
Very informative!
presentation wise very informative nag improve sya tapos hones
worth it yung video hahaha yun pala yung mbps sa MBps
You can disable the Windows Fast Startup feature thou for a real shutdown to happen.
I think sa shutdown pwede madisable yon if ioff ung fast startup sa settings. On by default lang kasi yon kaya ganon nangyayari
Yeah... you can disable Fast Startup or commonly referred to as Fast Boot...
Linus ng pinas keep up i always watch you're vids
Solid ung puchaaa , idol talagaaa parang ngayon ko lang marinig un sauo idol haha ! Looking forward for moree vidd ! Pashoutout idol. 😁more subs to comeee ❤️
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! 😭
Nice another sponsor sir anton🤗
you deserve a lot of likes 👍
you deserve a heart 👍
For clearer technical understanding, 1 Byte = 8 bit. But, ung sinasabi pa nilang "up to" para safe sila hahaha
Yung sa thumb screws understandable kasi some old and some present thumb screws wala talagang philips or flat screw head. Funny that its not only me that had this moment. a tip also is to use your shirt or cloth to add grip the same goes when you use clothing to uncap a bottled water. Sometimes it will look like it is not helping but it does losen the thread.
Thank you po so much!
Very informative , new subscriber here.
Very informative talaga mga Vid mo sir Anthon!
Hello po! Other alternative for consistent internet speed on every room na may 2nd floor aside from mesh na medyo mahal. Thank you po
Looking forward. 😄
when I have the budget for a whole new rig I will definitely document it :D
also looking forward to that day!
Thank you for this video. Learned something new today. :)
thank you.
Ty sa info
Hybrid Shutdown - Ito yung save state muna bago magpower-off then pag napowerOn mo na, load state to RAM then instant boot agad
Shutdown - Totally emptied state then power-off then matagal nga lang nag next boot mo kasi walang nakasave state dun
Restart - Shutdown and restart
Solid sir!
Nag-iiba din ang functions ng shutdown and restart while holding down the shift key. Shift + shutdown na ata ang "real shutdown". Heard that from PH/GN (or maybe from you din, I can't recall). Re: Converge stock wifi router, can you make a tutorial how to configure it to bridge mode? Looking forward to this. Thanks and more power!
tbh so far I have been unsuccessful in getting my converge modem/router to bridge mode 😆
Thank you for this 😁
Hello! I'm sorry for the question, saan nyo po nabili yung table nyo? And yung 2 drawers, I think I really need that for my clean set up! Thank you, more power Hardware Sugar!

Tnx...sir
the best ka talaga sir
tanong lang legit or effective po ba talaga yung pag restart ng GPU using windows + ctrl + shift + B key ?
have not actually tried this myself but yes it is supposed to restart the gpu driver
altec lansing, quite old but still good :)
you can also share the hibernate "THING" instead of turning off your pc or shuting down your pc @hardware sugar for those who didn't know this thing
Kung gusto mo mag-"True Shutdown" sa Windows 8 and above, hold "SHIFT" while clicking on "Shut Down" sa start menu.
Good morning, concetned ko lang dun sa pg shutdown at restart sa windows 10,paano kng off mo na pc di kna na mg shutdown, kng restart reboot mo lng..salamat
