People are hating on this saying “ughhh they got so lazy, this is just the same map!” I totally disagree! Exploring the map was SO much more fun because you already knew what the map looked like and it was interesting and nostalgic to find a location from Far Cry 5 that’s all run down and destroyed. I cannot tell you how many times I got lowkey emotional seeing a location again. Like Jacobs bunker, that was soooooo nostalgic. The prison too. I absolutely recommend this game (as I do with all afar Cry games lol).

Sidemissions : John's region has 16, Jacob has 14, Faith as 13. It's pretty much divided into 3 regions and each have 8 or more side missions. It won't be that bad of a spinoff.

@thedexter 73 Yeah, I had to restart the story and just not enter Jacobs or John's bunkers so that enemies will still roam in the area. From what I've heard, you can reset the outposts in Far Cry 3 and that will restore the enemy patrols in the island
VALID point!!! Gawd that was infuriating about FC5. Every time I killed one of the siblings, I’d still have a third of their region to defog. Once there’s no enemies, there’s almost no point. And that meter was bullshit too. Take over 2 outposts and 2 VIPs and you’re already past the first notch on the meter. You’d like infamous difficulty would’ve decreased the point system but nope.
I don't know. Far Cry 3 and 4 and primal had a certain aesthetic that made me really addicted to the franchise. But while playing Far Cry 5 I just lost interest, was barely able to complete the game. I'm not buying this one but it's not that I think it's bad, but I just lost interest for Far Cry games. I'll see how 6 will turn out.
I think it was better for most elite to appear more like in Far cry 4 all Royal Guard enemies except heavies were too easy to kill and they had too low health. Only Royal Guard commanders were the right enemies to have enough health but they didn't appear as much.

Same here, I really like farcry 5 but after beating the game there were no enemies and the game got really stale, dlc was okay but I just hope that doesn't happen here

There’s a whole main story u can follow, u don’t have to replay the outposts it’s just more options for the players, doesn’t have to be for you..... it’s all about progressing and they definitely improved the outposts system by doing that
I hope there is some variety in enemy type and placement between the levels, I have heard it suggest the physical structure changes a little between levels - it gets more defended. But it's interesting mechanic that you have to loose on purpose to win the game in the end. I do think they might have been better of releasing this later in the year and adding a 3rd more outpost, a few more enemy types, implementing a full arcade mode editor, adding more cars and so on. They they could have charged more money for it. I think having only 10 outposts might make the loop intolerable to some and risk them giving up on it before they finish it - obviously the idea is to get you to pay to win, But considering there isn't much content anyway doing that seems like you are wasting money if you could do it normally in a week or so anyway. I do think it could have done with more breathing space between itself and the new Metro Game - Rage 2 doesn't matter as much as I'm starting to get the impression that Rage 2 isn't any good anyway, or at least it's just a shallow shooter you can finish in like 4 days tops. If Ubisoft was crafty they add even more of their other game assets into a level editor and allow people to use arcade journey maps from the big potato copter in game that would make an otherwise small game gigantic. Though that might muck up their progression - but I still think they need to add the New dawn assets to the arcade editor eventually even if it's part of Far Cry 6 before they do it. I actually like how they are adding other environments as it gives people a chance to try out other locations and see what they like with future environments and settings in mind. I would have liked them to add some new dog animations though it's a little distracting to have the new dog share Boomer's animations. Anyway small concerns aside I think this is a decent package, and in a few months time when it's like half the price it would be very good buy indeed.

Tbh I love post apocolyptic games to the point where it doesn't get old imo, this may be because I have an inner desire to experience life in a post apocalyptic environment. Video games allow me to do just that without the negative facts like you know starvation and being murdered by violent carnibals. My one criticism would be the fact that while I am actually looking forward to this game, there are many other games that frankly just do it better.
Its a continuation .. its not lazy. People wanted more and we got it.. how is that being lazy, if you werent interested in 5 no one is forcing you to buy or play new dawn. On the other hand there are plenty of people who wanted this and love it.

I beat it’s campaign in a day. Though I will say it’s not a bad game and has plenty to do after the campaign. I do hope that they have a few things in the works as far as updates go. This is a must buy. Spoiler: You get super powers.
Ubisoft knows that if they charged 100$ for this game they would get shit because essentially there's less content but releasing it at a lower price. I think in some store it's only 40$
I get what they are trying to do with the ranking system, but they've gone too far with in IMO. A 50 cal BMG to the head is a kill shot, period. I think FC5 got the 50cal sniper pretty close to correct. The round was first intended to be used against light vehicles and materiel. This new ranking system is too much of an over correction to make for harder game play. The game is 2/3rd the price, but only 1/3rd the game of FC5. (I notice a lack of planes in the posted game play of FC-ND) There are only 10 outposts. You can have three different sets of defenders for it, but that does not make it three different outposts. I think I'm going to pass on this game. (still pissed about the ending of FC5). If the price drops below 20bucks, I may re-evaluate that. 1/3rd the price for 1/3rd the game may be fair for my sensibilities. :)
You see what your character is wearing in a short scene entering your base and when you liberate an outpost you see yourself too you can see your clothes in vehicles - but yeah mainly it's for other people to see in co-op. I suppose they could have put 3rd person ladder climbing in - but some people don't like that. I get what you are saying though It's like the cars I would barely bother with them unless it was for something to do. I'd be more focused on getting all the weapons than anything else. As they have a direct effect on game play that outfits do not.
@TH-cam Account Status effects on outfits might be OK if it's simple stuff like breath under water or be immune to fire I guess - but I don't think they are doing that. It's just cosmetic or for completists to grind on
Idc if outfits are pointless. My enemies are going to see me coming at them with a leprichaun mask and a wife beater on because its funny. And when playing online on fc5 i love how people know its me when they see that smiling leprichaun face. Outfits and character customizations are great. If they werent in the game, thats what we would complain about instead.

Far cry is way worse about this. At least in Odyssey the main story itself was fairly intriguing, and there was plenty of other ways to level up.
Most side quest in odyssey is actually pretty great

Enemies roam depending on how many outposts you captured. I'm sure it's the same here.

Ubisoft knows that if they charged 100$ for this game they would get shit because essentially there's less content but releasing it at a lower price. I think in some store it's only 40$

I miss the first Far Cry's creepy atmosphere. Good old times.
I get what they are trying to do with the ranking system, but they've gone too far with in IMO. A 50 cal BMG to the head is a kill shot, period. I think FC5 got the 50cal sniper pretty close to correct. The round was first intended to be used against light vehicles and materiel. This new ranking system is too much of an over correction to make for harder game play.
The game is 2/3rd the price, but only 1/3rd the game of FC5. (I notice a lack of planes in the posted game play of FC-ND) There are only 10 outposts. You can have three different sets of defenders for it, but that does not make it three different outposts. I think I'm going to pass on this game. (still pissed about the ending of FC5). If the price drops below 20bucks, I may re-evaluate that. 1/3rd the price for 1/3rd the game may be fair for my sensibilities. :)

The Trick in Far cry 5 was not to destroy the Main bunkers, so you have enemys left in the world!
Outfits in FPS single player games are unnecessary. It does nothing for you and you can't see how it looks in game.
You see what your character is wearing in a short scene entering your base and when you liberate an outpost you see yourself too you can see your clothes in vehicles - but yeah mainly it's for other people to see in co-op.
I suppose they could have put 3rd person ladder climbing in - but some people don't like that. I get what you are saying though It's like the cars I would barely bother with them unless it was for something to do. I'd be more focused on getting all the weapons than anything else. As they have a direct effect on game play that outfits do not.
@TH-cam Account Status effects on outfits might be OK if it's simple stuff like breath under water or be immune to fire I guess - but I don't think they are doing that. It's just cosmetic or for completists to grind on
You can see your outfit everytime you open photo mode.

And when playing online on fc5 i love how people know its me when they see that smiling leprichaun face.
Outfits and character customizations are great. If they werent in the game, thats what we would complain about instead.

Finding it hard choosing between this game and Metro Exodus.
If you like open world and messing around I'd recommend far cry but if you like more serious gameplay then choose metro
Only way Id drop the $40 on the game is if I can toggle all the RPG bullshit off.
