University High School Inaugural Founders' Day Assembly (Sept. 27, 2024)

Motivated by a perceived shortage of independent high school openings for qualified students in the mid-1990s, an exploratory committee comprised of parents from Sycamore School, The Orchard School, and St. Richard’s Episcopal School gained funding for a demographic study, began a discovery process, and eventually incorporated as the University High School Board of Trustees on September 28, 1998. Thanks to these Trailblazers, we now celebrate the 25th year of University High School. And in honor of them, we establish University High School's Founders' Day. For this school assembly, founding board members, faculty, and staff will come together with alums from the first graduating classes of University to share about their inspiration, their vision, their why, and reflect on the years since the founding.
