    Hi!!! I just found this Levi’s Type III made of Japanese denim; let’s see if it is a good pick, and let’s compare it with the regular line.
    This is not sponsored. All garments are bought with my own money.

    It’s sad when they rebranded the LMC to MIJ.

    Both jackets fit you really well, they also both look good. I'd be a bit disappointed, re a Faux leather label though. If they are not going to use leather, personally I'd prefer a quality cloth label over faux leather.

      I think that they have minor differences in terms of construction; for the price difference, I agree with you that the leather label can be a good improvement. Here we pay for the Japanese fabric.

      I have two pairs of LMC jeans and one pair of the Premium line, and the patches are leather on both. The leather used on the LMC jeans is a little bit better (at least it was, I'm not sure if they are still better since mine are a bit "old"), but the one on the premium line is either a top-grain or suede leather with a heavy finish on it, which is why it might not look like leather at first glance

      Great Review My friend! The LMC jacket is Relly beautiful, its a pity that the jacket is Made in china…. And i think that the jacket will be a litte thighter After the First wash.

    I’m about to order this one too. The “made in Japan” would you say size up to a large (I’m usually between medium and large with a chest size of 43’) thanks!

      Hi!! If you want a slim fit, go for M, or if you think about layer up under the jacket, go for a large

  • @stefanhnavetsea1588

    they clearly have different "fit", the premium is more modern slimmercut, longer, and slim sleeve with squared shoulder look very clean with minimal creases. the japanese has boxy cut all around, shorter, and round shoulder/ more spreading sleeve that gives rounder shoulder look when worn but has more wrinkles and creases on the inside of the arm. I think I like the premium a bit more, for one it has the iconic red tab and neater fit. if you want japanese denim, just go straight to japanese brands.

    Great vid. Does anynoe have any leads/information of for why it mentions" japanaise fabric made in china"? And does it differ in quality?

    • @UrbanLadUK
      @UrbanLadUK  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Levi´s wrote in the website on the information of this jacket that was made in Japan, but the real deal is that the fabric is Japanese but it is made in China, that why is necessary to clarify to not mislead the people looking this jacket. To my experience the quality of the construction it is good and the fabric it is good too.

    the type 2 made and crafted levis denim jacket is available @145 usd in india and goes to discount till 50%. i own this and the quality and construction is similar to shown here . what a great piece to own. the only issue is absence of selvedge id and for that i own one from selected homme which is italian made selvedge denim jacket type 2

    • @UrbanLadUK
      @UrbanLadUK  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That price is a good deal; despite the not being visible, Levi´s always uses selvedge line fabric from Kaihara Mill.

    Those jackets fit you like a glove. I have an iron heart jacket and have no idea where the shoulder is supposed to end. It's close to my neck.

    • @UrbanLadUK
      @UrbanLadUK  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you!!! IH jacket!!! You have a nice piece of garment 👍👍👍👍.
      The best way to be sure your jacket fits well is to button it up and check the shoulders edge matches your shoulder edge and that the sleeves at least cover your wrist. If you want to layer up with a hoodie, add 1 inch to each side of the shoulder, which usually works well and doesn't look too oversized the other way to pick the right size is to go for the chest measurements for example chest measurement 44 inches for slim fit pick a measurement between 46 / 47 inches P2P, for layering 48 / 49 inches P2P. Beyond that looks too oversized 👍👍👍

    Fantastic video and overview! Definitely misleading that they're advertised as the "Made In Japan" line, and a little disappointing that there isn't a visible selvedge line, but still looks great

      It is a shame that this giant company do that, it looks sloppy, and it is probably happening for lack of attention, but the product is good; the Japanese fabric is superb!!!

    Thank you so much for doing this review. I was going to buy that jacket but I have them made in USA Levi type three already. So I went with Lee 101 Rider Jacket dry indigo. I hope I made the right choice for a quality denim jacket.

    • @UrbanLadUK
      @UrbanLadUK  ปีที่แล้ว

      Lee 101 Rider is an excellent pick, Kaihara denim, sanforised and made in Italy. The construction is impressive and the Denim too. Which version you have bought? with or without hand-warm pockets?

    • @FREDRICKG85
      @FREDRICKG85 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have the one on their website for $350. It’s slim with handwarmers I believe. I have Redwing mock toe, boots, and looking for some jeans to wear with it. Nothing too baggy just nice and slim. Any recommendations?

    • @UrbanLadUK
      @UrbanLadUK  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ok! There are a lot of options, depending on your budget. Let's start with Low-budget, affordable options: Uniqlo straight/slim Brave Star slim tapered. LEE S or LEE Raider, Japanese Kojima Genes from here the budget is going up, but if you are going for original Levi’s from the LVC line, it is worth it. It is expensive, but a good pick ( if you find a 150th-anniversary selvedge that is a plus, around 100 dollars made in China with Japanese selvedge but really good option)

    • @FREDRICKG85
      @FREDRICKG85 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also, my made in USA Levi jacket type 3 is an XL and I need a large to fit me. Do you think I could take it somewhere and they could tailor it to my fitting or would you not recommend that? because I don’t think I’m going to wear it if it’s to big. Do you know a place I could send it to or just leave it alone. What’s your opinion on that thank you???

    • @UrbanLadUK
      @UrbanLadUK  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not very keen to tailor jackets, and usually, the results are not good, there is a risk of ruining the jacket
