Well, it was an old pastry from the beginning of the XX° century, after all… I guess its taste must have pleased tourists, and that is what made its worldwide reputation. Among my relatives and friends, I know very, very few of them who buy macarons, actually.

ive made them, but they didnt look as perfect as the ones in the video.
I ate one at the Junction Mall in Nairobi, Kenya. it wasn't as tasty as it looked plus I paid Ksh 120/- for it.
I love it but can only get it on special occasions. It's pricey here😢

Finicky lil things…I’ve made them at home a few times, and once I was satisfied that I *could* do it, I decided to never make them again lol
They just put colour for food ,not pistachio, strawberry
that woman who eats macarons with liver paste and other savory foods...
The problem is that they keep their appearance for weeks/months, so unless turnover is high, they get sold stale.
