I have loved the music of Dire Straits & later even more so Mark under his own name, ever since I found a five pound note lying on the pavement in the town outside the record shop as a spotty youth & bought the first Dire Straits album with it. Golden Heart is my favourite track of all time & even with so many other of his masterpieces to choose from it still makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck...Thank you Mark for entertaining me & feeding my soul for the last 45+ years

I love how the comments are about people's emotions listening to their favourite songs. I think my favourite is how, when you hear a new MK composition, you can't predict the lyric. There's no moons rhyming with June or spoon. Each word and each direction is part of the story. Not a best fit. Poetic genius.
