Hello William. Thank you for watching. I used to have the factory bulbs and they were okay. But now that I have LEDs in front and back, I'm very very happy with the lighting at night. It is very impressive. If you attempt to replace the front bulbs,,, be careful and you will notice 8 minutes into my video what happens when pulling the rubber plug out for the peanut bulb, also known as the front Park bulb 194. Have a wonderful week ❤️🤙🏍️

I've changed this little bulbs without remowing any fairing at all and i takes like 3 minutes. the only difference that they were oryginal not led and they fits and also looks much better.

Hello Gerard, Thank you for watching. I would love to see it done in 3 minutes. Do you have a different year or access port? Because there is absolutely no way on my 2007 ST to access this bulb, unless the (what looks like speaker covers) is cut out. Here on the video at 10 minutes, see how very difficult it is to just remove when there "is" VERY easy access: th-cam.com/video/OSVdEEc8Q8s/w-d-xo.html

happened to me too. I had the side cowls off already for other work. The older the ST,, the more likely it is too happen,,, as the rubber socket gets harder with age. I was lucky enough to use a pipe cleaner and double sticky tape to get the oem bulb out (90 minutes work). I would not try to change this bulb with out full side access. So it's on the winter job list for my new bike.

Hello Alan, thank you for watching, I spend so much time looking on TH-cam for somebody to show me how to replace these horrible bulbs,,, with no luck, so I finally decided to make my own video. I hope it helps you and I hope it helps a lot of other ST owners. Have a wonderful weekend ❤️🤙🏍️

A couple of things: 1. I think it would have been easier to remove your side cowls rather than the front. Once you've done it a couple of times it's super easy and gives you good access to the lights. I think it would overall be less work. 2. You had the right idea with the "tacky sticky white stuff" but the execution was wrong. This happened to me when I replaced my OEMs and I used a coat hanger and "reverse" masking tape on the end. It came out easy-peasy! Interesting choice using yellow peanuts. I also changed my turn signal/parking lights to pure white and am just waiting for an overly rigid cop to ding me for it. Where did you get them? Also, why the heat tape on the mirror arms?

Hello Dave, thank you for watching, yes I totally agree on the accessing through the side cows but I have beat my hands up and cutting them up trying to get to those bulbs and pull them out. I did it this way to show everybody so that in case the bulb falls out ,, cluster is gone and out of the way to be able to access the bulb plug holders in a straight line and be able to see them clearly. I have been waiting for somebody to notice the heat tape on the mirrors, excellent eye!!!! 🤙☺️☺️. I'm glad that you asked... 3 years ago when I installed the switchbacks I installed the resistors versus the simple method of just installing LED relay for $8 which was the better way to go. Plus when I installed LEDs in the rear I had heat resistors which was a dumb move. Since then after installing the LED relay after installing LEDs front and rear that is the only way it go. So the heat tape is just old stuff from years ago. Thanks again for watching and have a wonderful weekend. If you can join us over at Facebook, we can stay in touch much better ❤️🤙🏍️

Hello JeanPierre :>) Thank you for watching. I like your idea to lubricate the rubber bulb holders next time. Hopefully I will never have to replace them again. The 2 red and black wires are for my extra blinks LED bulbs that I added because it is hard to see the factory orange blinker bulbs in the sunshine. Here is an example of the left blue LED blinker on in this video if me in Canada: th-cam.com/video/09gqN6c4T3k/w-d-xo.html. (I hope you like the video, it took a long time to edit).
This video is showing the right blinker: th-cam.com/video/_htQU3Dzry0/w-d-xo.html

If you removed the side fairings it easy to replace all the bulbs.
