  • WANT TO LEARN HOW TO INSTALL BEARINGS?
    I know I struggled with change my wheel bearings when I was younger. I thought you always needed an expensive press to install them, but I was wrong. Its super easy to install your bearings using your axel to press the bearings into the wheel cores.
    Hope you found this Scooter wheels bearing install video helpful. If you have any questions about install your scooter Wheels bearings don't hesitate to leave a comment or send me a DM on instagram, and ill try my best to help you.

    Thanks man. Getting my first scooter soon and although it's for adults im a touch over the recommended weight 😜 so I guess I'm going to be going through bearings quite a lot so useful to change them myself

      @@ChaseRost thanks mate. Just got it was a pain in the ass to put together no bolt was tight at all and kick stand didn't match up either, it took chunks out the bottom of the frame when folding! But after hours of swearing finally up and running and it feels good 😁

    I also ruined a new set of bearings trying this method, although I didn't use the old bearings on a big bolt, against my better judgement I used the wheel bolt off the scooter, advice to anyone trying to replace bearing do not do this, putting massive pressure on the inner core of the bearing to press it into place will score the ball bearings inside and cause it to roll rough, the scooter still works fine and they may wear in as my lad uses it but u can also use a vice like I did and squeeze them into place, being careful to press them in using the outer ring.

      a vice is definitely the best way to push your bearings in for sure. you are 100% correct in distributing weight on the bearing to push it in is definitely the best way. when pulling the bearings out for the most part you are replacing them anyways so it not the end of the world if you accidentally reck the old ones. but if you are just removing them to clean, then definitely removing them nice and slow is the way to go.

    • @ChaseRost
      @ChaseRost  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      is it actually glued in? if so you might be able ot put some kind of glue solvent on it to help break down that glue

      some bearing are super hard to get in and out on certain scooter wheels. but with the right angel/ leverage, you can pop them out. Worst case scenario, you can always just bust out the middle of the bearing and them pop the outer bearing ring out once you've got all the main parts of the bearing into pieces

    Hey uhh I kinda destroyed my bearing by doing this. 😭

    • @ChaseRost
      @ChaseRost  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ahh shoot, that’s a bummer. Sometimes taking them out can definitely be tricking and sometimes result in breaking the bearings. But on the bright side, usually when ever you’re taking your bearings out, it’s because your replacing them anyways
