Thank you for making this video, I was going to buy some of the mist filters but couldn't believe the cost of even the cheapest ones. I will buy a few UV filters now and do different levels using the spray paint you mentioned to get, I really like the really misty filter effect, I might use some masking tape when I do mine. Nicely put together video as well!!
This came out pretty well! Like somebody mentioned, you can use rubbing alcohol to wipe the lens clean and try again. I would recommend doing a couple passes with the spray on the inner side of the lens rather than the outside. And try spraying from a further distance. Great tips, nonetheless
Yo you the man for this one Nice work Will try this out shortly and try to do 1/2 1/4 1/8 kinda pro mist look Maybe I'll even do a video too Anyway sick video Subbed you my guy
I just did it by myself with your video help. I'm pretty happy with the result. I sprayed more paint than you and got the dreamy look that you mentioned. I'll try to make another one to reach a soft glow like yours. thanks bro
Hello! Greetings from Argentina. Is it common spray paint? Or a specific type? Thanks for testing those internet experiments and show us the real results. With the inflation in Argentina, ruining even one of the cheapest filters, for an experiment that may not work, is painful...
Can you share the link to the video you first saw this made? Who’s the guy you’re talking about? I can’t read on the can what type of spray paint it is.
Sorry for the late comment! I used water proof ones since I live in a very humid environment. I guess as long as the paint doesn’t come off easily it would be good enough!
Hey you can always use rubbing alcohol or paint thinner to remove the paint so try as much you want on a single lens ❤

This is so cool. DIY’ing this stuff is so satisfying. I’m curious about how a gold spray paint might look

spray horizontally and let the paint fall onto the filter rather than pointing the nozzle towards the filter and hoping you can spray fast enough.
Thanks. Can you add a link to where you got the cheap lens filters?

Thanks for the support! I would suggest to use a very cheap lens protection to test it out first :)

What is the name of this filter? I watched the video several times but I could not make out what it's called. Any help?
If you want to buy a ready made one, look for black pro mist filter, BPM!
Hello, great video! I was just wondering, did you use regular paint spray? What would you recommend? :) Keep it up!
