I got the Wilwood 6/4 piston kit on my c6 z06. Amazing quality kit. My kit came with the BP-20 pads. Amazing medium street/track pad. Bite is strong and will snap your neck fwd with no fade at all. The pads can be a little noisy at light brake usage. Once they heat up or if you just press harder the noise goes away. Lastly the break dust on these are unreal. Be prepared to dust your wheels a lot. Really only downside to the BP-20 pads. When these are done on my ride I'll probably buy the BP-10 pads. That is a more pure street pad that hopefully with dust less. Anyway I enjoy your videos, especially since I'm a Vet w/a yellow Vette too.
Dude. I frickin love this. No need for the huge brakes if you don’t actually need it. I found XP8 pads have an excellent brake response and feel but the dusting is horrible. But I like the OEM replacements that work with The stock rotors!
Awesome video! I’m about the pull the trigger on these since I just finished my zr1 wide body (c6 base). I’m really torn between the 6 piston front vs 4. I like your logic tho of not needing overkill for purpose we drive. I only track 1-2 times a year and just for fun. Cheers!
That was definitely something I was wondering before the install. But no, not at all. Now I have not done a hardcore track day, but a lot of spirited driving and they feel great even 3 years later.
If you find value in my videos and want to support a small channel feel free to buy me a coffee! (or not..) www.buymeacoffee.com/markalafrer
Pretty cool performance mod that also has its own aesthetic.. love the one-man brake bleed tips too!
Good call, I have a 2002 Z06 , going to get the same kit plus the routers. You have great upgrades.

Great tutorial brother. I've been looking at these brakes for a bit now. Great content keep it up!
Thanks man. I appreciate it 🤙👍

definitely curious to hear how they feel
Good job ty
I'm surprised you didn't add stainless brake lines while you had the fluid system open. They would also give a little more bite. Maybe a future add?
Oh 100%. I had to get this done in a timely manner.
@@VetOnVettes Time crunches suck. Enjoy it at every step. You can at least feel the difference with and without and give an opinion of their benefit
Can we see how the fronts now look and like a side profile of the color u chose? I plan on buying these wheels and doing the same to my c5 zo6 as well
What size wheels does you Z06 have on it. Wondering if they would work on a base 2004 Corvette?
what size wheels do you have? did that kit require larger wheels?
Will these fit under the stock 17/18 inch Z06 wheels? Would love to do a brake upgrade on my car but keep the stock wheels.
This kit I believe barely fits under the 17". The 6 piston will not. But you MAY need a small spacer.
I have this kit and it fits fine.
Was your brake bias impacted?
That was definitely something I was wondering before the install. But no, not at all. Now I have not done a hardcore track day, but a lot of spirited driving and they feel great even 3 years later.
Dang. Found this too late. They don’t sell them anymore
Are you able to use your stock rims? Which I believe are 17 front 18 rear?
For the 4 piston you can use 17". If you go 6 piston & C6 Z06 brakes you need 18".
Could you use stock c5 pads with these if in a pinch?
No unfortunately as they are completely different. The pads used for the Wildwoods are like cartridges that slide in.
