    Would you buy the Ninja 1000SX as your first superbike over bikes like the Triumph Speed Twin, Ducati Scrambler 1100 and the Harley Davidson Forty-Eight? Do let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

      The Harley should not be in that category i believe.... and the Ducati also as I feel they are not sport tourers

    As a happy owner of INT650, I am still falling in love with Ninja 1000SX.. though it is a different segment all together still it is attracting an old mid-range rider like me 🤩🙏

    • @vishalakashyap7749
      @vishalakashyap7749 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I also have INT650 and love it. The only thing that puts me off on 1000SX is my height which is 5.7". I think having feet planted is important. This bike is good for people over 5.9" and above. Sadly, not for me. :)

    • @SohilSahare009
      @SohilSahare009 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My dad bought this as his second bike. The other one he has is the int650. He is 60 years old and 5.6 in height.
      We just had to change the soles of his RE shoes and he's good to go.
      The bike is comfortable, just like a ninja can sneak up on you if you twist the throttle the power is there but the rider aides work flawlessly.
      The service is cheap when compared to other motorcycles in the segment. It's mileage is great wether you're hooning or being a gentleman from 17-22kmpl on regular fuel and a little more on premium fuel.
      It's just perfect tbh. If you're considering one and aren't fussed about the looks, just get it.

    61 years old and this fits me perfectly. The review is excellent and honest. Great grunt and smooth power. The ride i explain to my wife as Cadillac like. 44 years riding experience and i have owned a few bikes. If i was 21 would i buy this no I would get a real Superbike. For the middle of the road , quick nice handling and smooth ride it is amazing. I need the bigger windshield. I also need a little storage bag for the back seat I guess .

      Was in the shop today and tried sit on it. As a 61 years of age, 170 cm on my nails, this was just perfect. Almost flatfooted it. I have not tried it, but my Honda will be sold for this bike. Started ride over 40 years ago, so I think this bike will be perfect. I do understand the young age and superbike. I dont think this bike is very far from a superbike with the power and handling. Yet to see. Ride safe.

    I bought mine in 2019 Ninja 1000 ( new). Rode it for 2900 Km. Sold it last month. Living in the Darjeeling hills I had a few issues . Namely the very bulky and heavy stance that made it difficult park the bike on the narrow hills parking. The other issue was the low ground clearance.

    Buyers Beware: This motorbike has balance related design flaw (drifts to the right due to heavy exhaust). That is why the previous generation Ninja 1000 had dual side exhaust(equal weight distribution on both sides).
    Unfortunately, Kawasaki san is not willing to solve the issue! They are in denial. So, Isn’t as perfect as typically one would expect from a Japanese Company.
    If you are willing to ignore this flaw & perfect balance doesn’t matter to you, it is a great motorbike & an excellent package!

    on my SX 2020, i installed the larger version windshield that Kawasaki offers and works better but still not exempt of wind blast. i also installed factory heated grips which are slightly smaller in diameters and that was disappointing... and i have also the side hard cases which complement the Ninja like i was dreaming of. its the perfect bike for me. i also changed the saddle for a Sargent. The original seat is not great for several hours ride and the angle was too much leaning toward the front which aggravate the discomfort after longer time seating. but damn the fun that motorcycle brings !!! the 140 hp is well chosen and you can reach 200 kmh in matter of seconds anytime you want.

      I upgraded to 1000SX from Versys 650...coming to your question, 1000SX weight distribution is more lower compared to Versys and low seat height give more confidence too.
      Go for versys if you want a very comfortable long tourer but it's more heavy which will be gruesome in city traffic.
      1000SX is more sporty and comes with quickshifter which add more fun and still you can do 500+ kms on it without much trouble.

    I don't think it's that powerful to be honest. If anyone is coming from a 170hp+ literbike this actually feels a bit underwhelming. Additionally, this bike is not meant for high speed cornering. It's not particularly aerodynamic and at 200kmh+ you feel that cornering is not that good. Still, it's a great all rounder and a great machine. Calling it a superbike is more of a clickbait.

    • @Sandychocky5500
      @Sandychocky5500 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Actually this isn’t a bike to corner at 200kmph+…. And for a person who comes from a superbike riding history, obviously this bike is going to be a slow for their standards…. And this is a fast tourer from it’s heart so expecting too much of an SBK-ish expectation, it will surely disappoint because this bike isn’t meant for that kind of track riding…. And for this price point for a super tourer, this is fine for where it is completely focused on …. No offences by the way…. Happy riding 🤷‍♂️👍

      It is not possible to flat foot. My dad is 5.6. This is his touring motorcycle, all he's done is got new taller soles (about 3/4th inch) put on his RE riding shoes and he can now flat foot the bike.

    @motoringscribe haven't seen you riding the balls out of a bike that very often; ofcourse it's got to do with the bike, and that was a delight.
    I'm well aware that Kawi competes in WSBK (that too is being ruled by Ducati these days), but buying a 'sports bike' having not that much of a racing pedigree would be a pass for me. I'd consider an 890 Duke R if I were to have 10 lakhs lying around.

      890 isn’t available in India and might not even come anytime soon. KTM sleeping on the job!

    Shame your country requires you to deface the front of the bike with that uggo license plate! Where else is that done in the world?
    Can you imagine owing an MV and ruining rolling art with that friggin monstrosity?
