I have been a health and wholeness coach since the early seventies. Over the decades of searching for a healing context it's rare to find an author who can really see the big picture. Among the volumes that I repeatedly refer to are; Obesity, Cancer, and Depression, by F. Batmangheligj, M. D., and Rebbe Nachman's 'The Anatomy of the Soul,' by Chaim Kramer, and also, Wings of the Sun, teachings of the Rebbe compiled by Rabbi Abraham Greenbaum. I have also been challenged with serious illnesses and learned even more from these challenges. In the early 70s I was privileged to know the author and practitioner Dr. Walter R. Rhodes, D.C., who wrote, 'The Race Between Sanity and Madness.' That book is probably mostly out of print now, but it's invaluable to the understanding of how the nervous system is directing everything in the body, and how negative neurological patterns must be interrupted and corrected in order for healing to occur. My understanding of context comes from Moshe Chaim Luzzatto, and his essay on fundamentals.
Healing and illness are complex matters which include all aspects of a person. Underlying these teachings is the idea that the health and vitality of the body depend entirely on the soul. The soul is the vital core which animates the body. If the body is sick, it is because the soul's power to vitalize it has been weakened, leading to deterioration and malfunctioning of the physical system. Conversely, if the body recovers, it is because the soul's power is restored.
This is such a sweet and compassionate conversation!❤
