      WARNING IN BIBLE:
7 So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.
8 When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
9 Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
10 Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live?
11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
12 Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.
13 When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.
      14 Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right;
15 If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.
16 None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.
17 Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal.
18 When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby.
19 But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.
20 Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways.

Regarding 12 months in Hell... The physical world is bound by time. And so, with our physical minds, we can only understand time but what we know it as. If afterlife / spirituality is not physical, it also isn’t bound by the type of time we know time as. I have no basis or sources for this, but this is my conjecture: 12 months in hell is not 12 months as in 12x30 days necessarily, but rather 12 months as in 12 timeframes of soul cleansing. Some souls need more than others. And the way I see it, hell isn’t either what we can understand physically, but rather an internal transformation until the person/soul truly faces that which they’ve done, in the strongest sense. Facing one’s wrongdoings in the most brutally honest way is hell. So the worse a person was in this world, the more brutal reckoning they have to do in the afterlife. And over time, the hell of facing one’s evil actions cleanses the soul. But I do admit my knowledge is limited, and I also don’t think anyone can truly comprehend that which is beyond the physical world.

I was an EMT and ambulance paramedic for over 6 years and I knew what people needed, even when they didn't. It's kind of funny because they didn't know what to thank me for and they usually didn't thank me for anything -- but I didn't expect it. It was a special was to help others and a good model for me to help others otherwise.

The only reason that I've ever been able to justify living for,is to serve others.
Without being in service to people, I can see no reason for life.
    Reward doesn't interest me,punishment doesn't scare me.
But kindness received and given is surely the ultimate gift and the most beautiful thing in life.

See Gemara Rosh Hashana 17a that says some people are punished eternally, such as the Apkorsim. See also Sanhedrin Perek HaChelek (the last perek in the Gemara, but second to last in the Mishna) for Talmudic proof.

Relatives said the body had to face east. He was rapped in linen and buried soon . I did not see him in the casket . The priest said he is in a better place. I am ashamed I said a bad word and was dragged away. Do you think God will forgive me . My adoptive parents loved me. I am not a nice person but I am still ashamed then I was angry. This was amazing. Interesting. Thought promoting.
I think that the idea of making the world a better place is subjective. It creates the arrogance that some think they know what's best which they then try to inflict on others. It doesn't work. People need to make their own existence better, then move outwards. Living is of course thinking of others, which makes our existence better.

Just for the sake of confirmation of belief... Totally objective. Even though I saw trauma happening to my body, I had no feelings or shock or complex thoughts at all. Just objective observation. And, my sight was clear and perfect as if I had eyes out of the body. Also I was much taller.

“Paradise and Hell do not exist from God's point of view, but from man's. It is true that Paradise and Hell exist as two ways of life, but it is not God who created them. There is eternal punishment, The source gemara rosh hashanah page 16b-17a uses is Isaiah 66:24 " and the will go out and see the corpses of the dead men who rebelled against me, For their decay will not cease and their fire will not extinguish" unless manis Has a source to back up what he is saying, Its complete nonsense.

It is very difficult to explain what I am thinking. I will try. I think that we can be selfless by dying to ourselves (our egos). That is a hard thing to explain. I will try. About 5 years ago I suddenly realised that other people are just as valuable as I am. I mean that they really are just as valuable as I am. Sometimes I listen to them deeply. I lose myself in them. I find it to be a lovely and enjoyable experience. People love it when I tell them that it was good to see them or good to talk to them. When I do say this I really do mean it. I don't say it to people that it was not good to talk to.
I think that as you give money or whatever to someone else that it opens you up in some way to receive even more money or whatever than you gave. It is unblocking a pipe in your life. I have found that when I give myself psychologically to someone else that there is a joy. It unblocks the bad feelings in my life. Also, when I am by myself I am even more joyful. Maybe it is because there are no agendas at all. I can just forget about my own ego and agendas when I am by myself.
In my old way of thinking these bad feelings were there because I wanted people to serve me in some way. I was self absorbed. I was angry and upset because nobody wanted to give me anything without getting something in return. So when I waited for other people to give to me first then nothing flowed through me to anyone else. Also when people did give to me then I wanted to give them back less than they gave me. I wanted to win on the transaction.
When I do give to other people then good feelings of joy come because I am not blocking things up with having things serve my agenda in some way. I am creating something by giving something without an agenda and I am expecting nothing in return before I give it away. I do these things now (I don't always do them of course) because that is who I am now. There is no other reason. When I do them it is fun. So I keep doing them because it is fun. My motivation is not particularly because it is more moral and I will get a reward in heaven (even though I probably will get these things). I don't have to grit my teeth and do it while hating it because it really is fun to do.
I appreciate that this is something that is not easy to communicate. I have found this very rarely in other people. I have met only one or two others who see things this way. Most people are self absorbed. A lot of people's faces are miserable on the streets. It is such a joy not to be always wrapped up in myself. A weight is lifted off me when my pipe is unblocked.

I want to give my view to the question about selflessness. Now be aware I am a christian so my answer doesn't neccesarily reflect the jewish faith.
I believe we ought to behave selfless because god himself acts selfless and loving. He made us a certain way in that he has given us freedom of will. He created us and gave us the choice to decide for or against him. Now that is an act of true selflessness and love. A god who created us not to serve him as slaves but to live in love with him and among us. Now you say he is needy, he needs us to do things. I'd answer he shows us our natural way of living. We were created to be with him warmed by his love. Now we created money, entertainment even drugs to make us feel that warmth but we cannot feel it. We feel empty because we are not with God. Only through God's love will we be fullfilled. Now if he created us to be with him and in his love doesn't it make sense that we have the ability to be selfless? Doesn't it make sense that we have the abilty for great and pure love? Now as a christian I live by the word of Christ. As the word became flesh it manifested in a fairly poor man, leaving everything behind and living a selfless live doing many act of great love exactly as God intended. He is the way and as such reflects God's will because he is God. He so often says he is not here to rule but to serve and so shall we not rule but serve. God doesn't sit on a cloud ruling. He came down to earth. He shows that he misses us more even than we miss him, that he suffers with us and wants us to be fullfilled wants us not to suffer, to return to him so that he may come into this world once again and greet us with open arms, for where a man of true faith in spirit is, there is the Spirit and God is the Spirit so the kindom of God touches the earth.

G-d’s “selfishness” is different from human selfishness, because - perhaps only one of several reasons - our selfishness is at the cost of other people’s needs. Our selfishness is manifest in “greed,” wanting more than we need, as in “i want it all.” G-d’s selfishness is basically expressed by what is required to show our love and appreciation for G-d. We know what it takes to primarily show our love to our spouse, for example: we are loyal to our marriage. Is expecting our spouse to be monogamous being selfish? No, it is an understanding of what is required to prove or show our love for our marriage - our relationship to our spouse, our coven with a person we love. Hence, our relationship to, our coven with, G-d has its requirements. These have been outlined as to how
G-d wants us to show we love our Creator....or.

Most people think that the word נעשה in the phrase נעשה אדם is in בנין קל. It's not, it is in נפעל. The verb is not לעשות, it is להעשות.
So the correct translation of נעשה אדם is: The Ineffable, which in this phrase is not named because It is above all designation becomes Man.
If we think that the very is לעשות we get into all kinds of off the wall questions like: Who was God talking to? Those questions are the thoughts of the confused.
God did not create you. God becomes You.
There is a very big difference between speaking of God in the 3rd Person out of modesty and being so dissociated that we think of God as some Other.

Rather, once the physical body has, in essence, surrendered to the life and beingness of the soul, after lifetimes of the soul passing through the River of Fire, and becoming its most highest, most pure essence, most pure self, then our actions will be objective and our physical world will be transformed. In other words, once we’re all like the Rebbe, we’re there. In my very humble opinion.

To build rewards in Heaven; no greed do you have, you give without getting repaid, you keep it to yourself unless it's a one on one teaching moment. The soul doesn't die and we are told this in God's word where he says they (Call) it the second death, it doesn't mean you die. Remember the story of Lazarus and the rich man. Each man will suffer if he dies in his sins. The lake of fire or the river of fire is not about consuming; but, torcher for sins not forgiven. " for the pain of their suffering will last night and day, for eternity. What good does it do a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul"?. I believe there are 7 churches 7 levels of hell, and 7 levels of Heaven then the Temple of God that is set aside for his chosen people Israel. The outer courts are for people like me, gentiles. 1. Its a myth gehennom is 12 months. The Torah lists 36 sins you get cut off from the next world and die early. The Gemara in Rosh Hashanah 17 says someone who is an apikorus and other types of wicked people go to gehennom forever. Sanhedrin 90 lists more sins you can lose your olam haba. Masechet Kallah says someone who wastes seed has no share in the world to come. There are many other examples. The 12 months is a specific sentence for Jews who don't put on Tefillin and gentiles who commit s-x crimes. After this time period their souls are burned and scattered under the righteous according to Rosh Hashanah 17.
