🎬In this video we spend the next 48 hours in #cairoegypt ! We wanted to see for ourselves just how hectic and crazy Cairo can be, and let us tell you, it did not disappoint!

On Day 1, we decided hired a guided tour from ‪@Viator‬ to show us around. We walked all three awe-inspiring #greatpyramids and even some of the smaller ones. We could have payed to go into one but they were not allowing people to enter the great pyramid and our guide reminded us that theres nothing to see on the inside. We made our way around to see the Sphinx, where we got another amazing view of the plateau. If you've not been to the pyramids, the entire thing is set up like a complex fenced all the way around. And up on top of the plateau, there is this amazing restaurant called Orascom. This may have been one of the best lunches that we've ever had! MUST VISIT RESTAURANT... After indulging in a delicious lunch overlooking these magnificent structures. We had the chance to try our hand at making bread - what an experience!
Day 2 was all about exploring the vibrant city without going crazy. We started our morning at the beloved #khanelkhalili , where we couldn't resist shopping for spices, clothes, trinkets, jewelry, you name it! We got there early in hopes to miss some of the crowd and unfortunately a lot of the shops had not opened yet. After a successful shopping spree, we headed to the #egyptianmuseum , home to a vast collection of ancient artifacts, carvings, mummies, jewelry, and mesmerizing hieroglyphs. Although the museum felt a bit unorganized, it was still an incredible journey through ancient Egypt's wonders. It was also a shame to miss Tutankhamun's treasured death mask apparently had just been moved over to the new Grand Egyptian Museum, set to open to the public later in 2023 / 2024. We definitely have to make it back to Cairo at the very least to come see this new amazing facility.
We had such an amazing time in Cairo, and we can't wait to share our next adventure with you - stay tuned for our upcoming video on our trip to Luxor!

      Thank you!
As far as all that’s happening in Sudan, we didn’t make it any farther south than Luxor but we never felt worried at all. To be honest outside of street vendors trying really really hard to get you to purchase something or someone trying to take your picture or show you something for a cash tip, that was to only thing that we felt uncomfortable with. The Egyptian culture is very hospitable and you’ll find they are extremely friendly. Despite not driving in proper traffic lanes, we felt very safe in the car which was crazy compared to being in Naples. Like any city, it’s always important to be aware of your surroundings. You’ll find Cairo to be a little tattered in appearance but also a very lively city.
      Are you will consider visiting!

@actassin69 Amazing. Where do you plan to visit? Unfortunately we are no longer in Egypt. We stayed for 6 days which is not long enough to enjoy all of what the country has to offer but wanted to get our feet wet. We plan to return and visit other parts of it. Enjoy your trip and safe travels. Don’t forget to bring $25 USD each cash for your visas and let us know how your trip went!
