    You are right, Injectors are disconnected, i never changed the fuel filter, the car ran ok after fresh gas was filled., but changing fuel filter is a good idea.The only hing different is I ran the Pump with a jumper.This car is not with me anymore, I dont have to deal with Gas, I have electric car.

    Ok, thanks for the video. I have a BMW Z3 that sat just under 5 years. The owner did not treat the gas so I want to drain it before adding fresh fuel. From your video and what other people have said, to use your method will run the crappy fuel through the fuel filter. I am presuming not the injectors because it appears the line is disconnected before them. Am I correct? Not expecting a reply after seeing it has been 2 years since the last one, but maybe someone will reply. I also might suggest if possible to avoid a huge spill while under a car and disconnecting fuel lines, it is sometimes a good tip to pinch off the fuel lines with needle nose vice grips with rubber hoses on the ends. This will stop the fuel until you disconnect the lines, then once your catch can is ready, simply release the vice grips.

      I also might add that the video demonstrator said he used gas to clean things with. That is a bad and unsafe practice as it is very flammable.

    If my gas is this dirty I prefer to remove the tank. Chances are you will kill your fuel pump with gas this dirty. Remove and clean the tank.

    I sure hope you changed your in-line petrol / fuel filter after you basically cleaned out your gas tank into your Petrol / Fuel filter...

      I'm glad you are not experiencing any fuel flow problems. However, I sure would keep a SPARE fuel filter handy ! :-}

    Will this work the same if I have the fuel filter off? Will it just come pouring out at the line before the filter? I have a 97 BMW and there are few ways to get fuel out, this being what looks to be easiest.

      +Gainey Gainey if the filter location is after the pump then it will work.
      Find pump relay and jumper the coresponding contact.

    This doesnt show how you got the tube to get the fuel into the glass in the bmw and what do I do to pump it out?

      And how did you clean it great video but I'm so confused.

      first: disconnect the fuel rail, second:find the fuel pump fuse.Third:Remove fuse and apply 12v to one of the terminals where fuse was connected,this will start fuel pump to pump fuel out, when empty, add fresh fuel, and repeat, until fuel in glass jar is clean.This is my way, maybe there is a better way.But dont smoke around the car, and do it i good ventilated place, outside of garage.Just in case.

    That's not just dirty that is full of water to boot. You can see the separation, water is heavier then gas, the gas is actually floating on top of the water in the jar.

      I used This gas to clean parts, and kept it for future use as cleaning agent.
