Socket 775 is a pretty fun platform too overclock on, super easy platform too learn old school style of overclocking on where you have too tweak memory speeds, voltages here & there rather then just multiplier + voltage & off too the races on like unlocked newer processors, specially on newer dualcores like the e8400 i got. Got the e8400 picked randomly out of a decomissioned hp desktop & it ran overclocked stable at 4 ghz no problem at all with just an intel copperslug heatsink for like a pentium D 945 or similar. Motherboard i got here for socket 775 is a Asus p5q premium which i got for free a few years ago when a cousin upgraded. Which is not the best at overclocking but did a solid job imo with some tweaking too chipset & memory controller voltages too get dual channel stable at that overclock with 1066 mhz ocz reapers.
Haha I have a proper pot. Definitely think the cup would struggle to get temps low enough. Glad to hear from you! I definitely hope to put up more stuff but trying to do quality over quantity now
@@TechTested if i would have watched the video completely before commenting, i would have been wiser .... You definitively made a quality video, I like the idea of quality over quantity. I'm good, by the way, hope youre good too.
Used it years ago?! The Q6600 is my daily driver!
Oh man I finally have build my dreams computer with Q6600 on a Asus P5K3 with 4gb of ram and two 9800 GT brand new in SLI
What an old beast, goddamn!

I am running 4 GHz E8600 in my retro gaming computer. 😀
I had a G0 aswell. Thing was a beast.
I got 467cb in r15 on phase at -52c and 5.28 in 11.5 too.
Great video! May I ask where to find Windows 7 stable version? Thank you
how does this compare to a dual e5450 ? would make for a nice video
Long time no see! Always appreciate your content sir! 😁
glad to see people still use windows 7 these days also Q6600 is still somewhat useable in 2024
Very cool. Nice to see you back. Do you still use the copper cup or do you have a proper pot now? 😜

I will need to see about my qx6850 too
I had a qx6700 that I ran at 4ghz 24/7 on air.
