People do realise that INTJs (like me) are very much capable of being emotionally mature and considerate, right? As much as I relate to being an INTJ, being a personality type is not my whole world. Also, miss the time when interviews were like these, you know? Real questions and answers and not just some joke show.

Thank you. People confuse avoiding social interaction with actively hating others. INTJs process their ideas and emotions differently, but they are quite deep and intense. When I finally let my passion out people confuse the intensity with rage or anger... Just adds to the armor I guess.
I avoid social interactions because i’m socially awkward af and it’s easier avoiding them than doing something embarassing. Like in social situations i tend to do what others do because i have no clue how am i supposed to act
One of the ways one can find out if someone is INTJ is based on their need to be around competence. One thing that triggers us more than anything is incompetence. Jodie nailed it it in her interview. Elon is not an INTJ although I think he’s well developed for an INTP from all the other interviews I’ve seen.
well also every time i see elon musk on a thumbnail of an intj video, i get the urge to defenestrate my computer. if i got a nickel every time someone assumed we're super successful mastermind geniuses, i'd have enough money to make people think i actually am one. not to mention that he's a pretty shitty person and even though he kind of prides himself in having "asperger's" (the term hasn't been used anymore for years), he's wasting his money on colonising mars and coming up with a cure for autism instead of trying to fix this dump we call our planet. i couldn't care less about his type honestly. by the way, this "mastermind genius" mostly has his employees to thank for his fame and family for the money. truly the epitome of humanity.

@@annacbrown1986 yes, I agree. I believe that everybody has many flaws and mistakes to work on and learn from. Even INTJs, like myself, need to grow and learn. We can still be idiots and be more sensitive to others feelings.
Is it okay that I am a religious INTJ who actually totally agrees with that guy on theocracies? The idea of forcing anyone else to function as though they agree with me just drives me nuts.
I somewhat agree with him in some ways. I'm a Christian and I teach Sunday school. I'm more into teaching the kids how to think rather than indoctrinating them, so they make their own choices. Although, I wouldn't want to push my ideology on anyone, I also can't dismiss the fact that the Western world was founded on Judeo Christian values. The free will to choose, is perhaps one of the reasons we are able to say what we think here. But when humans see that opportunity and freedom we abuse it and then start to remove that freedom from others. Which is starting to happen slowly in the Western world.
Ironically I am very much INTJ, and a very devout, born-again Christian. It just goes to show the great variety even within the INTJ community. Having said this, I realize the traps of theocracies and believe they should never be implemented. The Framers of the U.S. Constitution recognized this pitfall too, ergo the establishment clause prohibiting any state-sponsored religion and/or denomination.

Foster is so point - so accurate - exhausted needing to *explain* WHY something is not a good idea - (yes, I HAVE thought about that - considered, rejected - wont work...) - how can other people not think about *consquences* of given action - not just that - ALL the ramifactions after that - exhausting
She (the first girl) looks and acts so much like someone I know, and I think that person an IxTJ. These two types always look reserved to the very core. :)
Btw. ...Arnold is an ENTJ ....just a different sub type . Julia on the other hand is a perfect example of an female INTJ . it's more difficult for female INTJs because of social stereotypes to be themselves. They come off as being "bitchy" or "snobby" . Another example of an INTJ ....Robert Deniro
DeNiro is not an INTJ. He is way too externally emotional and passionate. Just look at his reaction to Donald Trump. He has made it his platform and mission to tell the world just what he thinks about DT. Most INTJs I know wouldn't make a public declaration about hating someone. They would if asked directly, but not initiate it. If and INTJ hated Donald Trump they would just be like, "He (Trump's) an asshole. And have nothing to do with him. They wouldn't even waste their energy hating him. Now if Trump got in his face, then that's another story. INFJs on the other hand, great kind people, but if you piss them-off.. watch out. haha. INTJs only if you directly are doing something to them or their family. They are pretty much-mind their own business type. Any INTJs have an opinion on this?
@INTJ-Scorpio-Sigma-Male since INTJ tend to hate fashion, it's difficult as an INTJ female to use them to properly signal receptivity to males who want to approach. Plus, the attention received by the males can be too much for INTJ females because like Jodie Foster said we don't want to be the center of attention.
What subtype are you talking about? He seems like a solid INTJ, have you seen his documentaries? He talks about his visions all the time. Perhaps the video shown here wasn't that good of a example.
@INTJ-Scorpio-Sigma-Male not to make it a pissing contest about who has it harder ......but i really do believe that females have it harder for the following reasons: 1.Intj males can pull off the whole mysterious aura better than intj females (because it is a desired trait in males not so much in females for many reasons that i am not getting into here ) 2. Males have a better time being percieved as assholes(some even think its manly) 3. Females are supposed to be nurturing and kind and emotional .(when you defy those expectations something MUST be wrong with you ) . 4. As a male you are allowed to not want to marry and can dedicate your life to whatever cause you choose . But as a female the social pressure on you to find yourself a suitable husband and bare children is excessive and the more you push back the more the backlash is .whenever you hear the word spinster you automatically think of a woman and the word in it self is not fluttering. And even if you are a middle aged very successful female it all comes down to whether you succeeded in nailing down a husband . There are more reasons but then i would be writing a book not a comment on youtube. Men and women are more alike than they think and the reason why you can't find a suitable woman is because you have been chasing the wrong kind . Personality wise the ones you have been after just don't fit you . If you were a woman you still wouldn't have gotten along with them . Birds of feather and all that.
@INTJ-Scorpio-Sigma-Male i honestly think you were mistyped as an intj(because online tests seem to overlap traits with other psych. Groups) . Do a real person to person test with a psychologist next time . I sense serious issues ,frustrations and obbsessions just from your writing , deal with them and stop blaming society for your short comings .
This is a serious question: how accurate is the MBTI? I always test as INTJ and I see a lot of similarities, but I don't know if I can trust the MBTI to accurately describe my character traits.
Fair question. I always test INTJ - shade toward INTP -- and in academia, where we apparently thrive, I know several INTJs with my background (Ivy League, PhD, 1500 old scale GREs). BUt people are complex , there are other possible approaches. I just happen to admire Jung
You need to just be honest to yourself at think whether you really relate to the type description or not. Even then, the descriptions are quite general and sometimes not all of them apply to you.
The descriptions are very good. But I think that a personality exists on a spectrum, so there will definitely be similarities with other personality types.
The only video I mostly felt more than just understood based on Myers briggs since it resembles me hahaha I really value your talent at picking these up.
A personnality type is a spectrum, there are infinite possibilities of behaviours, habits and reactions within a single type, it's perfectly normal to not relate to many of the INTJ stereotypes (especially because they are stereotypes), an example would be an INTJ loving kids and wanting them. I am an INTJ, and I wouldn't mind one or two children, i like them.
From the clip alone, Russel came off as more of an xSTP to me. Sort of a smug coolness, plus being in a band like that... And the way he described things was more Fe than Te to me.

Jodi Foster and Elon musk yes. Julia Styles, I can see it. The others I'm not so sure about. I also can see Richard Ayoade as INTJ. He just seems so introverted and authentic. Also Neil Peart strikes me as INTJ.

I really really agree with the religion part. I cannot understand how someone can just follow something or some idea without questioning the already laid out rules and restrictions.
I'm catholic and I absolutely question everything about religion. To question something is not the same as disregarding something. In fact, disregarding something can be a sign of not questioning your own ideas related to that issue.
It's weird when people said Elon is not an INTJ because out of all INTJ's famous person, he's the only one I felt connected or relatable with. I took this test around 4-5 years ago and been taking the same test every year just in case I've changed. But nope...always an INTJ.
As an INTJ, I don't look down on people but rather see the potential of who they could be. If they aren't taking steps to fulfill their potential, then I get somewhat disappointed. But who I am to judge someone for who they can become.

I feel like I’m a machine, a computer, and a robot. I observe at people and things. I study patterns. At a party, I go to parties and public places just to study people, life, behaviors, and society and carry out informal researches and studies. I suppose I'm closest to Russell Crowe in this lot, I like a laugh and have a dry, sarcastic humour, but I have that persistence and grit of Arnie.
He is an INTJ. I really feel like people dont think introverts can be badass in social situations or have big muscles or seem assertive or outgoing, it has nothing to do with that. If you think those lines, you literally misunderstood what an introvert and extrovert is. It ought to be very basic. So, just learn more about MBTI (cognitive functions in particular, which explains the structural elements of MBTI), and don't stop before you able to see him as an INTJ, because it's crystal clear. People do realise that INTJs (like me) are very much capable of being emotionally mature and considerate, right? As much as I relate to being an INTJ, being a personality type is not my whole world.
Also, miss the time when interviews were like these, you know? Real questions and answers and not just some joke show.
Exactly. Being a personality isn't my whole world!
As an INTJ female, I can SO identify with the INTJs in this video. Lovely to see me, so many times over. *sigh*

Yep that's true XD I don't even know how many times my parents and friends had to listen to me rant about politicians, authorities etc.
well for an INTP? rather poorly developed intp or just intj
well also every time i see elon musk on a thumbnail of an intj video, i get the urge to defenestrate my computer. if i got a nickel every time someone assumed we're super successful mastermind geniuses, i'd have enough money to make people think i actually am one. not to mention that he's a pretty shitty person and even though he kind of prides himself in having "asperger's" (the term hasn't been used anymore for years), he's wasting his money on colonising mars and coming up with a cure for autism instead of trying to fix this dump we call our planet. i couldn't care less about his type honestly. by the way, this "mastermind genius" mostly has his employees to thank for his fame and family for the money. truly the epitome of humanity.

INTJ here. This video made me realize that when we are nervous, we touch our bodies a lot. Must be the inferior Se?
ScarletRose86 It may be. I don't know. Nice observation... Very interesting
I don't think so. Touching body parts is a universal sign of nervousness. Playing with hair, touching jewelery, rubbing hands, etc.
I tend to touch behind my ears, nose, and scratch my hair a lot when I'm nervous. Same for my dad who i suspect is an INTJ.
Unrelated, but these things somehow irks my mom to no end - she views them as "insincerity" or "guilt" from the person. Haha. (Idk her type, suspect she's ExFJ)

INTJ eating Nutella. Starts questioning why is this product too expensive? Is it worth my money? Get's up,went to the grocery store and starts picking up ingredients to create a Nutella.
INTJ loves to challenge the norms, rather than just accepting things just because it's whats accepted by society. Normal is boring to INTJ.
That's sooo me 😂 love it

Well as an intj I would just buy another product similar to Nutella and buy that, because making sth like that is not really efficient, in the time I make this Nutella I could just do so many other things (stereotypically planning)
Foster is the most intj of all.
My thoughts too, she's the most average INTJ.
In fictional works the INTJ portray themselves as a resourceful but also cold and calculating character.
We're only cold because we don't think about others, we think about what's best for everyone.
Xochitl Sandoval sadly with feelers taking over the world, they pollute their emotions and drama that is becoming the new normal, by eliminating logic and reason, which kind of sucks.😥
Kevin Fuk The Token Evil Teammate
Without emotion, we would cease to be human. Robotic, cold, distant. I’m glad we have actually people “polluting” our world capable of warmth, kindness and genuine compassion.
Kevin Fuk The Token Evil Teammate I agree to an extent, but taking other peoples emotions into account when making decisions is important as well. Everyone should learn to use both logic and emotion, using only logic all the time sucks just as much as only using your emotions.
Forever an evaluation of who is deserving of my limited resources of warmth.

She (the first girl) looks and acts so much like someone I know, and I think that person an IxTJ. These two types always look reserved to the very core. :)

Her name is Julia Stiles.
Btw. ...Arnold is an ENTJ ....just a different sub type .
@INTJ-Scorpio-Sigma-Male not to make it a pissing contest about who has it harder ......but i really do believe that females have it harder for the following reasons:
1.Intj males can pull off the whole mysterious aura better than intj females (because it is a desired trait in males not so much in females for many reasons that i am not getting into here )
2. Males have a better time being percieved as assholes(some even think its manly)
People annoy me.

You need to just be honest to yourself at think whether you really relate to the type description or not. Even then, the descriptions are quite general and sometimes not all of them apply to you.
The descriptions are very good. But I think that a personality exists on a spectrum, so there will definitely be similarities with other personality types.

A personnality type is a spectrum, there are infinite possibilities of behaviours, habits and reactions within a single type, it's perfectly normal to not relate to many of the INTJ stereotypes (especially because they are stereotypes), an example would be an INTJ loving kids and wanting them.
