From playing Illari, her Ult feels like it can either decide a fight, or you get hooked, or slept, or hacked, or blocked by your own Mei's wall
So it’s like sigma or orisa or Moira or reaper, or …
That's a weakness that most ults have lmao

Oh my god that last one is actual pain. Experienced that yesterday. Literally the instant I click to fire, MEI WALL! I was SEETHING but I flew around it with my team to keep fighting anyway.
Thing is, it was the most random fucking Mei wall, like. Not as if they did it intentionally, they definitely didn’t it was a good bit away from me, but holy shit the timing and where they placed the wall I’m just internally screaming “wtf is that wall for!?”

Illari has that classic overwatch character vibe as she doesn't have a ton of abilities yet her gameplay provides great skill expression with good flow. She also is the first support with an ult that has no potential to heal or mitigate damage (Ik, shocking Moira players right 😂).

On paper, Illari's ult seemed super broken and a guaranteed team wipe every time its used. In practice, the most useful thing about it is the mobility it provides.

Not really... Her ult can be eaten in odd ways such as a Direct Hit and Barriers. Canceling her Sun Projectile.
Also... She doesn't have damage resist during her ult so hit scans can shoot her down. Her flight is extremely slow.

Definitely… well when LW was bad at first. However, LW has now since become really good in what he does, although he still lacks in needing to provide damage for his team, which I think they could increased the projectile speed so you don’t have to lead your shots as much.
I love playing LW. I guess I’m a weirdo lol
She's op
Her ult charge too fast for what it is capable of doing. The turret has an unfair range and heals pretty much as much as Lifeweaver charging a 40 heal burst (the fire rate is basically the same). Definitely need a little nerf, maybe increasing the ult charge by 18% or even reducing the amount of time the gun can shot heals (because right now her gun heal is just a better version of Moira)
I can already see Illari's upcoming nerf: She gets her ult WAY too quickly for how impactful it can be, so they are likely going to nerf her Ult charge rate. She gets that thing insanely fast, Ill use it and be ready to use it again only like 1-2min later, its nuts.
From using her today I consistently get mine while the rest of the team is at about 50-70% during the first fights, the healing from her pylon, heal beam and dps really stack up.
I’ve played games against illari and her ult is so common it’s made. I’ve faced it three times in one game

That and reducing the pylon’s healing because that thing is absolutely crazy on its own
She is fun to play, you need to have good aim to use her, her rate of fire is low, you got make it count. Her primary source of healing is the healing pilon, so you need to pay attention in your placement (the pilon life is low), and her ult, although strong, can be countered easy... I would say she is a high risk high reward hero
Yeah I think everyone saying she's OP is overreacting a bit. Like, they see one video by like a top 10 support player's highlights getting a bunch of kills and think that's what the average person will play like.

Kiriko cleans it, moira and reaper can fade and clean it, Zarya can clean with bubble, ana can sleep her, DVa can eat and genji can deflect as well as sombra can hack... As I said, she a high risk, high reward hero, her ult can be game changing or extremely useless...

Even in higher elos it doesn’t take much to dominate overall . People exaggerate how hard it is to aim with her , she’s like a slightly slower cass or a ash without the scope. She’s very easy . It’s where she dominates every death match game and each game needs her. If you do not have her , you’re throwing . There’s no way she should be able to outheal damage that consistent with both options for her healing. She’s a good character but would need a tweak around

My main opinion on Illari is actually a pretty funny 1. So, for context, I play OW loads, but I also play Paladins and love that game as well, and something I could always commend Paladins for was that they were never felt scared to put more bars on the screen or have complex resources that you have to manage, which made every character feel very unique and have different challenges whereas OW has always done just a simple design with no strict resource outside of Moira, kinda. But then there's Illari, not only is there a skill gap with her primary from having to wait for a full charge, her healing is also a resource that you have to manage and her ult feels like it belongs more in Paladins than OW, so good job Blizzard, this is the most unique hero in a very long time and I will definitely be playing them

Bro flats contents like if you made a sandwich, not bad with the ingredients alone, but put all that content together, you get a channel worthy of every single one of its subscribers
Illari's Healing Pylon is definitely going to get nerfed in some way range is about 10-15m and the healing output is ridiculous. Because of the range, you can also easily abuse map geometry and leave it just out of sight of even the tallest heroes throwing it up nearly halfway up a building
they will not nerf it until a moment, since u need to be lvl 45 to get it or payes, devs are going to make a crazy op caractere to make ppl pay or losing until like 20hours in game to get it for free
Season 7 or 8 is where the nerfs come in. Not in Season 6 right now unlike Lifeweaver who had a rough launch.

I misstake her silhouette for Ana a little too much, but other than that yea. She is not annoying to play against.
The only thing the dev team should change about her, is her ult charge because it is extremely fast

I really like her healing. It’s very potent and concentrated kinda like a nice shot of espresso.
I KNOW RIGHT IT'S LITERALLY PERFECT, BURST HEALING FEELS SO GOOD and the laser is just satisfying lol
And burst is more valuable than having huge total healing on the scoreboard by the end lol

2:03 that room are cursed or deadly ngl, right after i see them going into that room i can tell what will happen next.. so many in my game ult combo happen there and people got rolled right away inside that small room
Couple of things i dont like about her:
Pylons 1vs1 potential is more annoying than bap lamp, or kiri suzu
Her movement is a little too low. I would rather less boop and more movement
Her healing is clutch, but unless you're right next to the team there's nothing you can do. Similar to mercy, lucio, moira etc, but all of them have better movement (though she does have pylon) so she's good eith brawl, but doesn't provide any utility for it, and she's designed for poke
My suggested changes would be- add aoe heals (not for her) on her movement ability (like, 50), remove the knocks back, add slightly more movement.
Reduce healing beam to 100hps, but add more to her resource pool so she can sustain slightly longer
Make her pylon shoot faster, but for less healing. This is more a psychological change to encourage players to kill the pylon and make it easier to locate in the middle of combat. Other than that I think she's good.

I really like this character. She has a neat kit, fits well in the roster, and is fun to play.
We should start calling the ult debuff "sunburned"
Imagine having Flats and Seagull as your supports and still losing.
Combo her ult with grav or Orisa ult. While grav/Orisa ult does little to nothing with Tracer ult, Illari will work 100% of the time
Assuming enemy Barriers are up or you don't Sun Ult directly at the enemy... You'll cancel your Ult if you do that.
Illari is the DPS every support player needed.

I learned that her Ult is much more deadly when you combo it with another ult that does good dmg.
Think Mei, Rein, Zarya, Sombra, etc.

man they really dont know how to make a dps support without giving them absurd levels of healing do they... first kiriko, a """"dps"""" support that has similar healing numbers as ana and now illari who is the same. i want a dps support like zen, who has bad healing but high damage and good utility, not a support that only does major damage from headshots, or one that has a weird charge gimmick to lower their total DPS

Just wish the healing beam didn't consume ammo if you aren't hitting someone. Especially considering that it has a limited range, it's really easy sometimes to waste half your healing on nothing, and then you have to wait x amount of time to get it back. That element of her kit feels pretty shitty.
I’m not sure why so many ppl have a hard time figuring out Flashpoint. I play with so many ppl that have no idea what to do. Its just 2CP to the max capacity for both sides at the same time.
Shes like the more skillful Moira has high dps and healing potential but you need more aiming and ability cycling

it drives me nuts that flats will straight up take a 15 sec 1v1 and not heal his team, or even use his ability which PASSIVELY HEALS...
Yk, being a f2p player and not buying the battle pass, having to wait until level 45 to play her is kinda annoying I don't have enough time in my day to play and level up the battlepass quickly, im usually at level 45 by the mid season balance changes and by then the new hero probably has been nerfed into the ground. I never get to play them when they're fun

As a lifeweaver player I have to say I have ruined a few ults. My friends love/hate me because I have saved them as often as I have cucked them.
Illary is the typical hero i have a lot of fun whe i use her but also a total pain in the ass when is my enemy
