The label is perfect for your Be My Neighbor quilt! I need to make myself another one because I gifted mine to my granddaughter. Your Halloween banner is so cute, and the quilt parade had so many cute, cute fabrics!
When I mail a quilt as a gift to family or friend, I fold the edge of the quilt up so the label is the first thing the recipient sees! I often print a photo of the person on the label as well. For example, if I make a wedding or anniversary quilt I will print a photo of the bride and groom on the fabric and then customize the other information. Like Pat says....they love the label!!
I am designing a quilt for my husband using small panels of large sailboats along with other blocks that I am calling Nautical. Fun thing is that he is designing it with me ❤

Everyone is inspiring. I never thought of Hallowe'en banners, but we could use them to hang from the tarp we set out on rainy (or snowy) Hallowe'ens. What a great idea. So many of our Hallowe'ens are rainy or snowy in Michigan.
I'm glad you enjoyed the pottery iron & found one! It was mine that I was able to share as part of my sewing decorations. I'm glad you were able to find one for your sewing room.

I agree about the importance of a label! My grandmothers both passed when my parents were very young. But my maternal grandmother left a crazyquilt she had made. Grandpa would tell me stories about the fabrics and my grandmother every time I stayed overnight at his house. He kept that quilt on the guest room bed. When he passed away the daughter he was with gave the quilt away to his church before I got there. There was no label on the quilt, so there was no way for me to prove that the quilt was made by my grandmother, so they wouldn't give it to me. I've always regretted missing the opportunity to have that physical memory of the stories Grandpa told me about the love of his life......my grandmother.
That is so sad! My grandmother hand pieced crazy quilts but her eyesight was bad so they are coming apart. My mom made all of our clothes and would give her scraps to Grandma to piece her quilt tops. They are about 65 years old. But I can look at those quilt tops and remember the dress or shorts my mom made for me from that fabric! They are so special and as soon as I’m done with them I’m definitely putting a label on it. I put labels on all the quilts I make ! I feel so bad that you missed out on that special treasure!

I’m just going to HAVE to MAKE that cute pumpkin Halloween quilt for my door . It’s adorable. Thank you for the reminder that no one looks at the quilting, mostly the label and the quilt itself. I’m in the process of trying to rush through a quilt i need completed quickly for a sick relative. Will get it on my frame today and get it done. FAST is finished, is better than unfinished.

I LOVE the Liberty Box! If you are careful, you can do both projects from the fabric in the box. I cut the panel project first. I love the banner direction for the Halloween project.

I am looking forward to reading the book ( I just placed my order with your link)! We have only had one cat, she was a Ragdoll with beautiful blue eyes and the softest fur. We loved her so much! The first night we got her, she was making this deep sound and we thought she could not breath then we realized she was purring! She was a real sweetheart and we still miss her! Thank you for always being so inspirational! :)

I kind of don’t trust writing on a label, worried that it would wash out. Happened to a quilt I made my #3 son. It washed right out, and it was unreadable.
Question for you, Pat, re: We’ll Prescribe You a Cat. I could not find the paperback that you showed in today’s video. I checked Amazon through your post on today’s video, and Amazon is taking pre-orders that will be filled on September 3. What am I missing? Should I be looking somewhere else? Your wall hanging came out really cute! It's perfect for that spot behind the front door. Others did really fun versions too, some were 😅 👍 When I see a pattern with an American flag I always try to picture it with a Canadian flag ⛵️🇨🇦
If you do a banner, can use as a table runner but might need to extend top/bottom. The block could be turned into a pillow or use as door hanging :).

Many years ago I made 5” log cabin blocks that I used as half square triangles to make giant sailboat blocks for my oldest grandson’s quilt
I would change up the colors on the candies, they are a little odd.

I made your Lakeside quilt many, many moons ago. It was loved so much that it essentially disintegrated. But isn’t that the sign of a fabulous quilt? It was so so loved that it totally got used up? Actually, in my opinion, that is the best compliment a quilter can receive. That a quilt you made was so loved that it virtually disintegrated. The added benefit is now you have an “excuse” to make another 😂
I fell in love with the Lakeside Quilt and just purchased the inexpensive pattern. I already almost finished the first block. Quick question for you, or anyone, is it raw edge applique for the sailboat or is it turned under. The pattern says cut the pieces with a quarter inch seam allowance so I’m assuming it’s to be turned under. I guess you could do either. Lovely pattern as are all of Pats quilt projects.
