Cut the mainline at a angle so it has a point so much easier to thread 👍🏻

Two birds with one stone, buy a small punnet of earthworms. Rules doesn’t say zig rigs aren’t allowed on the website. So fish a pared down pop up topped with a cut worm fished on a mono zig rig say two feet below the surface on one rod. Fish a bunch of worms similarly popped up this time on the bottom. Worms will attract Cats, carp love them however so do Perch. (Use size 8 or 10 hooks unless you lose fish in which case step up the hook size). Very pleased to see you fishing well and trying a zig now just refine it a little.

    Anther good watch
You can buy some tubing with some sort of wire in the tubing and just push though to the end but can’t remember who makes it lol , cutting the line at an angle helps and little bit of lubricant through the tubing makes it go through quicker , love my rx+ alarms there top alarms you will enjoy them , receiver is ace so loud , top alarms , keep up the great work and enjoying it 🎣

Have you looked at using bag clips? Just attach the clip to the top swivel where your rig attaches.
You can make up a dozen “bags” at home before you leave using the fattest pva funnel web (32mm), clip your bag on & just Nick the hook in the bottom before you cast. Dead simple & a shed load easier than faffing about with solid bags.

Nice vid I've blanked many times too, had two two night sessions this year when I blanked so don't worry about blanking, it happens especially when going for the big uns on specimen pools. I've been watching Manifest myself on Netflix, about passengers on a plane that go through something in the sky that causes them to time travel five years into the future. Watched the first three episodes so far but I've been more into a series called Hold Tight which I've just finished which was really good. I always watch a movie on my phone with Netflix before going to bed when night fishing 👍 anyway keep it up👍

Check out the fox solid bag systems very simple to use perfection everytime. Also if you are using a inline lead with a swivel . Dnt use a anti tangle sleeve. Literaly loop tie the rig and then loop it on swivel and keep rig short 4".
All the best and Tight lines

Definitely try using around a 4inch supple hooklink in your bag and maybe cut down your anti tangle sleeve, much easier if you use some solid bag stems, and just leave the top bit on your quickchange swivel, start with your hookbait in the corner of the bag and introduce your small mix and compact it down with your lead as you put more in etc good luck

When using solid bags, use a soft sinking uncoated braid, like Fox Reflex, tied 3 to 4 inches in length.
When using zigs, especially in bright sunny weather, use a black foam as a hook bait, or a cut to size cork stick. Something dark, basically.

Inside of tubing should be dry.
Less curls and kinks in the tubing the better.
Straighter the main line that will be threaded down the tubing the better.
Cut end of main line at an angle with scissors. DONT BITE THE LINE.
Don't attach any tight beads or tail rubbers onto the tubing before threading the main line. It can reduce the diameter of the tubing.
I thread my tubing at home in advance. I hate doing it on the bank when I'm too impatient to do it carefully.
    Good luck.

I brought some metal wire thing from Amazon for like 3 quid you thread it through the tubing then attach your line to the end and pull it back through. I also found that the Fox Edges Loaded Tungsten was the way forward cheap tubing is awful to use definitely worth paying the extra for the Fox tubing

100% have a lead about you’ll put a lot more fish on the bank knowing you’re fishing a clear spot wether it’s gravel or what not, great video as always though, also poke the ova bag in several places it lets the air out and it’ll sink and not float 😊

  • @michaelross749

@UK FISHERWOMEN You can try pre soaking a length of rig tube in either cold or warm water before you try to thread your mainline through it as a little soak in water help to lubricate the inside of the rig tube 😉 😀 if you soak it in warm water be warned it does make it more supple & not so stiff & rigid

Another great vid 👌 😊, never apologise for blanking its part of fishing, and you're not doing anything wrong, even the best fishermen/fisherwomen blank all the time, the only thing is you're still not putting the first eyelet behind the bite alarm, you're gonna lose another rod when one of those big carp bite 😊, wot i do so as not to blank all the time is take another rod and do some float fishing, or put on a method feeder, it might not be carp you catch but at least it's a fish, and like you said you don't mind a nice perch, just a thought, anyway keep up the great vids love watching even if you don't catch anything 😊😊😊

Watercraft. Find the fish, keep mobile and fish for them where they are. Most anglers mistakenly just set up in swims they like the look of, not where the fish want to be in those conditions, let them tell you where to fish for them. Hot weather is always tough in the uk, so focus on honing your floater and zig skills on a runs water first. Keep going dude, you’ll get there 👍

Good times.

Try putting your hookbait on one side of the bag and the lead on the other side tight against the bag. This will ensure that when the bag hits the lake bed the lead will be on the bottom and your hookbait will be directly above so when the bag opens, your bait will be over the top! I’d personally never use an anti tangle sleeve, and obviously a short supple hooklink. Good luck
