A whole world full of every kind of activity imaginable and all they often seem to be able to fill their lives with is kind of a shallow social existence? A lot of women could do with at least attempting to understand what it is that men and women find fascinating and enjoyable about fishing. I really appreciate her saying on camera that she is more about the good looking fish and not necessarily about weight, because weight is a preoccupation in fishing that is making the sport a game of sometimes grubby one-upmanship. This video is exactly what I needed to show my wife. She is a city girl, and I am a country boy. Yes, opposites do attract, but she has never really ever shown much interest in fishing. We are older now, and I pretty much fish for Carp exclusively. In our retirement years, this is something we can do together. I would love for her to be a part of it with me! Great video Katie. The best part about it is that you can relax and take in nature but also have a huge rush of adrenaline out of nowhere and a skillful battle with nature at any moment. It doesn't really hurt the fish and you can let it go having that experience all for yourself in the moment and then it is gone. Also, if you don't catch anything, it is still a relaxing peaceful time in nature.
...the moment you land a big one, you're hooked for life. Way to go Katie. I sometimes wonder if a hole generation is missing out on a great pastime. It's not just the fishing but the planning, rigging and the reflective moments in nature.
