Drake the Duck looks a lot like Boogerman to me! But it's a bit cheeky that they charged a big price for a demo disc. Then again The Princes Trust did that on the PS1 once, but at least that was for charity. And also had a full Yaroze game on it.
Pleeeeeeease tell me that Yaroze game was Terra Incognita 😂😂😂
I can see the Boogerman touch to it.
Not sure what price it was originally launched at, but the sticker on the shrinkwrap was for less then £1 and I got it from a charity shop for £0.50. So I don't feel too ripped off, as there were a few full games on the disk.
just they weren't the largest games to start with 😁
It seems this was part of a series of "Galaxy of Games" that they released.

As a kid, Speedy Eggbert was the first time I was ever introduced to the concept of a level editor and it blew my mind. I actually bought the full version just for that.
Also the version of eGames Red I had had a strange 3D Pac-man game on it as well. And I remember Dweebs actually being selectable from the menu.
I'm totally with you on finding a level editor for the first time.
More then a few games that I bought because they had an editor, or it came with an expansion.
They were always so much fun to mess around with.
And interesting that there must have been a few revisions of these disks, as that implies that there was more effort put in then I'd expect.

I had the Gold edition growing up, it had a lot of these same games. One thing I remember with Crazy Drake was that you had to complete the first 3 areas to unlock the rest of the game, meaning that you could complete the game even on this disk.
Crazy Drake isn't even trying to hide it's Earthworm Jim influence 😂

Miniverse looks right up my street! I’ll be tracking down a copy. Shame you can’t lay mines on a real golf course, I feel like you could give yourself a modest advantage that way?
The pulsating an*s weapon in Nebula Fighter disturbs me.
Crazy Drake looks great, even with the obvious plagiarism & lack of boss checkpoints. Another one to look out for, I think?
Most of the games look competent at the very least but it’s very much a shareware disk.

I swear with moon patrol they just grabbed random 3D models and used them.
although some of the sound effects did line up.
Some of the games have been properly put out as freeware so you might be able to track down some of them if you want to try out the full versions.

I had a budget re-release of Crazy Drake, it looked neat but I don't recall it running too well.
Great video- I always get a kick out of shareware showcases!
Crazy Drake seemed interesting, but yeah it did have its issues.
I'm hoping to get more of these sorts of disks and do more shareware showcases as they are fun to go though.

I never made the chu-chu rocket connection, but you are right. Its far more likely to be the inspiration for the game.
as I think this came out a few years after (trying to find concreate release dates for some of these games are hard).

This was a big part of my childhood, i so badly want to play that mini golf game again.

My goodness how my of those crappy grey looking 3d pre-rendered graphics games can one disc hold 🤣 they remind me a bit of the graphics in Crusader: No Remorse but that game was great!
well if its gray then you don't need to texture map them, and you can render them out quicker!
i had this cd and i remember some of the games not working. but damn those shareware demos gave me hours of fun as a kid
Had the full version of Crazy drake and did beat it one level you see mulder abd scully from X Files just thow you back into the level,the full version of Eggbert was better because it had a Simple to use Level Editor like a more basic version of super mario makers one.

theres one of these games found on these egames cds that was like hangman meets wheel of fortune and instead of a wheel it was like the board on press your luck. cant seem to find it

and I didn't even pay that much for my copy, but even at 97 its not a bad collection at all.
