I'm really starting to like the chemistry between Tasteless and State. I feel like State has brought out an even more loveable side of Tasteless. He seems ultimately at ease, he's incredibly funny, and State seems to be genuinely and ongoingly happy to be working with Tasteless, with really good analysis, and Tasteless has created an atmosphere of comfort where they both seem totally able to express their views even if they aren't the same..., I dunno... I hope GSL somehow goes on and get's bigger, so that we can see more of these two guys. GSL forever! Love to all the SC2 fans who appreciate what this game is all about, it's beauty, and how no other game is like it.

100% agreed. I do miss the ridiculous jokes and made-up stories offered by Artosis (like the PTSD Archon in Maru vs Trap), but the atmosphere and chemistry between State and Tasteless (Stateless?) is approaching that level now, and it will only improve. Having good casters makes a world of difference!

The thing is, I dont think Stats is that active, like sure hes playing ladder games, but I dont see him playing online tournament much like herO did when he was back from the military. It took herO, and Classic, LOTS of tournament and effort to get back into top form while catching up to the meta. Stats hasnt been doing much of that from how I see it.
Protoss is so trashed in the current balance. Not Stats’s fault

If the shield battery had not been nerfed in the 2023 patch then he would have easily held against Ryung's 2nd game attack.
After those latest nerfs protoss is so weak against 2 base terran, the race isn't even viable anymore.
I dont watch SC2 that often anymore, but when I see a group like this in the group of 16, i gotta watch
At around 1:04:00, the talk about contain, can cannon rush be considered an example of hard contain? I mean yeah every play can have multiple factors but i think it can
Didn't care about this group, minus Dark, until I saw Gumiho's backdrop, and now I'm pumped to see Gumiho win the entire season. If he continues to deliver on the futuristic cyberpunk atmosphere, then I'll be a Gumiho fan for life. Maybe next time he'll be wearing a cybernetic eye patch.
This looks like regular GuMiho, when GuMiho is in form. Some mech games thrown in, intense micro bio games to win the series. The mix of bio and mech games is great at making the opponents worry about builds. A foundation to win bo5 and bo7 series.
GuMiho is the unorthodox Terran.
Gumiho weakness is his very bad TVT matchup
Protoss got demolished in every group 😢 Even Stats are performing his best but the protoss ground units of stalker/zealot are just..., at least give them their late game update In Templar Archive to a more durable version (Dragoon and Brood War Zealot) to at least be a little cost-efficient lategame, not just Archon/Collosus + Blinkies-Chargies
Each year they are nerfing protoss in the "balance" patch so each year it gets harder for protoss.
Love to see State doing the research on the players and bringing that knowledge into his commentary!

Damn, i am feeling like, protoss is actually somewhat weak currently. Especially against Zerg. Not because of stats, he played poorly sadly, but overall, I see hero not performing, even though, he is probably the best protoss in the world.
HerO probably has the best micro out of everyone, incl. all races. But his units and shield batteries have been nerfed.
@@AB-xo3pl I am also pretty impressed by Hero always making it spicy, even if it feels like, he is almost dead, the game becomes somewhat close. And I agree, his micro at least for Zerg and Protoss is the best. At Terran level it is like one of the most important skills, you need to master, so I am not so sure about that. Also a skill, hero is definitely the best at, is setting up distractions and striking at the right moment while also pulling probes and stuff and having defences.
Okay, one buff to Protoss, adding the mother ship core maybe. (More of a joke, but I really liked that unit, even tho everybody hated it...) I think, toss needs sth for the mid game. Almost every game feels like, they are being pushed and they can't stabilize, even Classic, who literally played so we'll, couldn't quite stabilize perfectly. The late game and early game is pretty balanced in my mind. The late late game, Protoss is still king.

It’s insane that Artosis star power is so strong that I cannot find a Google answer to who is casting with Tasteless now.
If you don’t pay attention to the vod graphics, his name is State. I wanted to know since I want to try and follow him similar to Tasteless and Artosis.
State started casting in place of Artosis in the last GSL season. His former pro career certainly helps add perspective.

Dang these RO16 games have been lacking overall. Combined with the the other cut backs and lack of P/Z representation, this season is off to a sad start. Hopefully quarter finals have better games.

Hardest hard contain I ever saw was TLO (i think?) on stream in the early days of WoL cutting the map in half with a Planetary Fortress wall. He was taking requests on stream and the strat was to win with a planetary in the enemy base. In the end he floated a CC into the enemy base and managed to win with a planetary. Utterly insane game.
