In this edition of What in the Road is That? we've got the do's and don'ts you need to know next time you're taking a spin in one of Tampa's 30+ roundabouts. They may seem daunting, but we’ll help you straighten it all out.

As a frenchman I find that very funny that someone in 2024 would make a video explaining what a roundabout is.
Cool video though, i wish my city would do such nice video to explain some stuff

@@Jus2Fruitall the people in europe were mad when america didn’t build roundabouts, then when they do they just make fun of them for trying to educate people on how to use them. Jesus christ, no wonder the rest of the world hates you guys.

Yes, indicate to exit a roundabout. If you're not indicating, the other traffic assumes your'e staying in the roundabout.

Came here expecting a bmw drift video. I thought the title was satire lol
If you drive down 40th you'll notice the difference. The south portion your constantly stopping for the lights and waiting for the light cycle long after the cars go through. But once you get North past Hillsborough, you fly through the three roundabouts. Even during rush hour I'd say the one busy one is faster than on average than if a light was there. Hope to see more throughout Tampa in the future!

Those road markings are ... strange. At least from a European perspective. But the welding rules seem to be the same.
I genuinely thought the U.S. didnt have any roundabout
It took a while for them to realize, they're actually quite useful in many intersections but now many cities are building them and replacing 4-way stop intersections in lower traffic volume areas.
Maybe you’re just not educated enough! It’s ok though, we all make mistakes.

Absolutely not. And the accidents that do happen are far less severe.
