@@dawn3356 have three, two full years old. About 5 x 3. Covered with blooms, but now enclosed inside a netted 10 x 10 area to protect from deer, who devoured it last year. Spraying did not matter. They are beautiful.
Just bought four of these! Using them in the back of a bed as a backdrop. Two together on one side and two on the other. I love the whole plant, from the leaves to the gorgeous blooms. And, your experience with landscape fabric is exactly mine! First, the soil beneath the fabric gets furrows, and turns an unhealthy color. It does not stop weeds. Plants tend to send roots through the fabric and grow on top of it. I have ripped it up, mostly, but getting it up is a pretty big job. Mulch and soil on top make it heavy to just pull up, and shoveling that off before is a pain too.

Those are beetles and the will lay eggs in the beds, thus getting grubs. At 18:36, pls dig around the miss Molly and search for grubs. Use neem oil and drench them. I lots more than 10 shrubs and ever greens coz of the grubs. They hide in the rootsystem and chew the plants dry.
@@BACKYARDBLOOMSWITHKIM I had a hosta which I planted in a pot in spring, unbelievable I got 108 grubs inside. I think if I don't control them now I will have a worse scenario come next spring. They chewed my roses and other blooms every day in summer.
@@BACKYARDBLOOMSWITHKIM Thanks so much. I do remember now you mentioned that in the video. Think they have that at my Lowes. Guess I’ll use it as a preventative.

Hibiscus scentless plant bugs
Yes Heidi I looked this up. That’s exactly what it is. Thank you
And what do you use to spray them, now that I have five rose of Sharon plants.
I used Captain Jack Dead Bug took care of them.

Most of the cultivars that u buy in stores won’t self seed
Enjoyed this video. Scatter human hair clipping around your roses.
I tried dog hair. Worked for just a little while.
Sorry, don’t know what the bug is, but if you find out, please let us know.
Hibiscus scentless plant bug
So disappointing when bugs infest and kill off blooms. Hope the spray works.
