cigarettes very very rarely ignite gasoline whilst handling like that. Tho it can surely can happen, extremely rare. I know cuz I used to throw lit cigarettes in gasoline as a kid and nothing ever happened & trying to start gasoline soaked shrubbery on fire is darn near impossible to light with a cig.
It is more difficult for diesel to catch 🔥 on fire when compared to gasoline ⛽. Diesel contains more oil additives than regular gasoline. Diesel burns by igniting it inside the engine with a GlowPlug under very high pressures and gasoline just needs the spark from a spark plug to keep the engine running. This is why big Diesel equipment emit a lot of black smoke when cranking up even if they are being well maintained and regular gasoline cars just do it if there is something wrong with the carburator or the oxygen sensors on the muffler exhaust system. Hope that helps.

I got hooked on Kurt's channel way back when he was in Haiti or it may have been the Dominican Republic and he was being led by a little boy to find something and the little boy took him to meet the little boy's parents. They lived in such a poor house with walls that were barely standing. Kurt went back the next day and took the money Kurt had received from TH-cam as payment for his videos and gave it to the little boy's parents out in the middle of the jungle. Since then Kurt has learned decent Spanish that's going to be excellent (I'm a naturalized Costa Rican-US citizen and work as a translator) and I still admire his goodness and his natural way with everybody. He ends up being most people's friend, doesn't he?
What do you mean a sex tourist at the end of it all? Don’t you see he portrays the realities of the countries he visit? Eats their food, interacts with people, supports local businesses by purchasing in them. If he knocks a romance here and there then it’s consensual on both ends, that’s just a plus. The man is young and handsome, give him a break. But if he’d be there for the women, he’d might as well be doing that dark side of tourism (ie. prostitution, red light districts, etc.) which he clearly isn’t. Don’t be so short sided on his videos, he does an excellent and educational job bringing these contents to us.

Great closing remarks. I was in Cuba a few months a go and made sure to pack extra medical supplies and kids toys to hand out. Cuba has great people that live in awful circumstances.
Unfortunately a lot of that stuff you give away to people working on the resorts gets collected and are sold. Always try to give it to locals who don't work on the resorts. Cubans who work on resorts are amongst the upper classes of people. They're rich, so-to-speak, by Cuban standards.
I love the way Kurt carries himself. He has a certain thing about him that exudes, "Don't mess with me, I'm tough" mixed with complete kindness and respect for his surroundings and local culture. 💪
Kurt I've been following your travels around the world for years now. I'm Cuban left the island in 1980 at the age of 9 and the reason I follow your blog is because you show the real life of the country you're at and the main reason is because you say the truth of your experience in that particular county. Your closing comments on Cuba I was very very proud of what you said 100 % thanks for visiting my beautiful country.
His closing comments were ridiculous. Having left wing views doesn't make you a communist, communist is just the most extreme form of leftwingism, coupled with dictatorship, that's not what having liberal views means.

Thank you for showing my country Kurt, I know it’s hard to show the good side when the government tries their hardest to suppress any good. The good left is the kind people, the great food (if you find any, and if it’s made by campesinos, AKA farmers) and the beauty of the countryside.
I love your channel Kurt! I hope to be able to travel like you do one day! ❤ my grandfather was from Austria & immigrated to Canada as a teenager after WW2. Him & my grandmother divorced in the 1950s and he traveled the world after that. But was still heavily in my fathers life & took him along on many of his adventures. He met his 2nd wife in Indonesia & settled down in Australia 😀 He didn’t take one single moment of life for granted. He traveled all over Africa, South America, Asia, and Europe. He left this world in 2018 but I am able to remember him through the thousands of amazing photos I have of him from all of his travels. He lived in a remote part of Australia & took people on tours of the outback. He was skydiving & flying airplanes well into his 80s. He was truly an amazing person. Your videos & free spirt reminds me of him. Thank you for amazing content! 🙌🏻
Your closing comments were the icing on the cake. I had a college professor a few years back, she and her family had escaped Romania as soon as Ceaușescu died. Our first day in her class she said "I can't stand to hear American children talk about communism, they have no idea what communism is, you want to know about communism you come to my office after class". A student went on to ask her what kind of books they had during communist rule, she laughed and stated "what kind of books? we had NO books, we had no BREAD, we had no WATER!"

@@aarona4536 china and russia is communist. China is 2nd largest economy in the world. Not all communist countries are the alike, same goes for democracy.
@@aarona4536 Communism has never been implemented in practice (at least not on a large scale). Bravo brother. You’re producing valuable work. Imagine a world where every 18 year old from a developed country goes for a year to live in the average Cuban or Venezuelan household. Imagine how much this entire world would prosper if everyone valued their freedoms and the LUXURY to work hard and earn a living.
Average person is pretty dumb and therefore they are incapable of extrapolating what happens when you keep voting for free stuff. It’s extremely frustrating honestly and it is one of the fundamental flaws of democracy. Once you reach a critical mass of low information voters it’s game over.
The difference is Cuba is a lot more stable economically than Venezuela. Cuba is able to give each citizen a ration card and a subsidized market to buy goods. Venezuela's currency is so inflated that so the black market and high crime exist.
Why are Cuba and Venezuela under economic attack and military threat by the largest empire humanity has ever seen? 18 year olds also know about this place called... China btw. Theyre communist.
The fact that countries like the US and other countries sanction and embargo Cuba is probably a bigger problem than communism. The US makes sure that socialist and communist countries fail.
It's how I feel too, and I have never stepped foot in a communist country either. I just can't comprehend why people would want this for us. Stay strong brother, UK to CUBA!!!!

@Jon Christopher careful saying that stuff, people's heads will explode. It doesn't matter how much evidence there is, people will not accept that the USA greatly interferes with Cuba and purposefully destroys its government.
Aye Curt, I'm a seasoned traveler to Cuba, Holguin specifically. The economic situation in Cuba is difficult. Everything is expensive and there's nothing to buy. There's a saying in Cuba "there's Havana and the rest is the campo (countryside) ". The further away you get from Havana the less you'll be able to access. The beach in Guaralavaca is so detached from Holguin center that not many people go. Look at the gas price. Not many Cubans can afford to travel the distance.... hence why it wasn't active. You missed Rico Pizza! Right by the entrance to the beach. One of the best pizzas you'll have in Cuba. In the city center there's "Plaza Marquetta", where the motorina took you by. There's really good food and cocktails there. There's actually some really nice bars, clubs and restaurants in Holguin... the problem is finding them. Another thing you missed was La Loma De Cruz. You can climb the steps (hundreds of them) to the top and see the whole city. Holguin is a city that comes alive at the night. I wish I knew you were going to Holguin. I would have guided you and given you some tips... especially about how the money system is and what you should be paying/exchanging money for. Maybe you wouldn't have felt so cheated. $1 usd shold be exchanged for 180 pesos minimum. If you're still in HAVANA download the app NAVI. In the day you'll get really good rates for taxis, no having to negotiate prices. Its like an UBER but you need a Cuban phone number to use it. All of Cuba knows the most beautiful women are in Holguin. Ask anyone in Cuba. They will tell you. Not many people know Holguin. Im happy you were able to experience it. I Think it could have been better if you knew a little more of what do and were to go.
23:50 he said 100 cuban pesos is like $0.50 but when I convert it in any website I get 100CUB = $4,17 And when you were filling the car you were talking about how 3000CUB is like $15 but I get 100 more converting. And the food and two beers costed 900 pesos = $37,5. I don't understant Cuban money at all 😂 Can you explain how this works?
There's the legal exchange rate and there is the black market street exchange rate. The first one is higher. Google will only tell you the first one. You have to be on the street to get the second.
I was in Cubs a month ago and the black market price was 180 per $1. Black market just means that it’s done by normal Cubans on the street supposedly illegally but everyone does it.

How could someone speak about the deprivation in Cuba and NOT EVEN MENTION the stranglehold that the USA has placed on the island for decades? Some of you are just as politically blind and naïve as those "lefties" you bang on about.
You are spot on, Curt. I went to Cuba on a dare from a Cuban girlfriend who was sent from Cuba in the early 1960's on Operation Peter Pan. I was led to believe it was a great country, but I saw the reality. She was right. Like I said earlier, I married a Cuban woman and brought her to the US. I still have a dear male friend in Havana who I'm trying to get out.

Respect sir! The best comes in the end. I'm glad I watched till the last every second of this video, your closing words were spot on. From a Cuban that left the island, thank you!
As a Cuban that understands exactly how awful communism and socialism are, that ending message was very powerful coming from someone that hasn’t lived in a communist country firsthand. Kurt, I’m a big fan of your content, and now I’m an even bigger fan. Keep doing what you’re doing brother. Much love from Miami!
I can imagine how infuriating it is hearing people talk about communism like that. But I feel the same when people talk negatively about socialism, when people havn't been to places such an Northern Europe/Scandinavia, where it works. I've been in 5/7 continents and like to think i've seen some of what the world has to offer, but I don't believe there's any better system of government than the one in Scandinavia and that is a mix of socialism and capitalism (not saying its perfect, because its definitely not)
My family left Cuba in 1961 and came to Miami with nothing. My wife still has family in Cuba, and they’re struggling immensely. It’s so sad to see what has become of Cuba. That was a great closing statement. Thank you Kurt for making these videos
Kurt, I have been watching your videos for quite a while now, and as a person who was born in cuba, i could not wait to the day you were finally able to visit my beloved island. But now that you have, i've gotten a chance to see it from an outside perspective, and it absolutly kills me that this is the way things are. Cuba is a beutiful island, with so much to offer. And yet my people choose to drown it and sinks down everyone that tries to visit. Thank you for honestly giving it a chance and trying to make the best of the experince as always. That being said, the only real way to enjoy a trip like this is to find a local who can help you find hidden private business. As it was apperent to you, everything the goverment there touches dies. Which is why the only way i've been able to visit is by relying on the few private businesses there are left on the island. In particular casas particulares (to stay in), and just negocios particulares. There the people actually have an encentive to give a good experince to the visitor, which will lead to a much better experince. And hopfully not eating pork sandwhiches everywhere you go.

He’s cool when doing content alone or when he’s with a beautiful woman but often acts like an arrogant douchebag when he’s with other dudes.
Hello Steve, I'm also interested to work as a translator do you mind telling me what kind of work do you do when working as a translator?

The difference is Cuba is a lot more stable economically than Venezuela. Cuba is able to give each citizen a ration card and a subsidized market to buy goods. Venezuela's currency is so inflated that so the black market and high crime exist.

The fact that countries like the US and other countries sanction and embargo Cuba is probably a bigger problem than communism. The US makes sure that socialist and communist countries fail.

Watching his travel blogs makes me want to travel the world so badly !

That being said, the only real way to enjoy a trip like this is to find a local who can help you find hidden private business. As it was apperent to you, everything the goverment there touches dies. Which is why the only way i've been able to visit is by relying on the few private businesses there are left on the island. Finally Kurt in my beautiful town of Holguin. My home for 32 years. Holguín changed a lot Kurt. 20 years ago was a different story. A lot of people immigrated and continuing immigrating, including myself, 24 years ago I left my beloved town, after many travels around the 🌎 Holguín, in my opinion it's the most beautiful one😊. I wish you keep good memories with you of Holguín and the people there❤🤗
You are obviously speaking in a very subjective manner. This city looks like trash and there is no way you can compare it to other places on the planet. Communism sucks ass.
Thank you Kurt. You totally changed my way of thinking. I've been always working very hard during my studies and right now I'm working as a manager, but really going to change things and start traveling and exploring the world. I'll be in October in Brazil (Sao Paulo, Rio, Manaus and so on). Really going to visit more South American countries and places you've shared here with us. God bless you brother!
What he said at the end is very true!! A lot of people think they want everything handed to them for free but they don’t realize what the consequences are
Thank you, Kurt, for these wonderful interactions and videos...keep up the great work, and God bless you on your adventures.
Amazing video Kurt, and good on you for speaking your mind at the end, couldn't agree more!
Kurt is the man with the best content anywhere! Kurt needs his own show.
Last few words are the realest things. Hopefully people take those words to heart.
Kurt killed me when he got that Canadian beer..."WTF, how did they get that here!!!" 😂
I’m Irish and I drink that beer! 😂
was funny watching him smack his lips and tasting it. Moosehead is renowned for its somewhat skunky flavour. I like it but some don't.
Canada has many joint ventures with Cuba. It's not following US sanction.
I would guess most of the tourist are Canadian. Cuba is where Canadians go for cheap vacations.
It's actually made in Saint John, New Brunswick Canada. Moosehead Lager. They make good stuff. Not far away from where I live.
Really open minding videos Kurt, glad you keep doing them. I've been enjoying them since long time ago already! All the best man
Ver los vídeos de Kurt es como una clase de inglés/vlog/ver mundo 🙌
And ditto for it being a Spanish class. I now know how to speak to the chicas in Spanish
Y una clase en espanol por nuestro gringos!
