The simple fact that im also, born in 1999 but live in the US and have my room full independent and somethign im still not happy, makes me realize how ungrateful ive been, thankyou edwin and kurt for this teaching 🙏🏼🤟🏼, i have alot to learn from edwin, to be bright and help others without expecting anything in return, everything in life!❤️🔥
Truly lots of lessons to learn from Edwin... But, you're allowed to be unhappy. Humans adapt to their environments very quickly, and set a new standard almost immediately for what will satisfy us. We're all, always wanting more. But yes gratefulness is important. Stopping to actually appreciate how much we have, where we live, instead of focusing on what we don't. Even if we acquire those things we don't have, it gives us only temporary satisfaction, then it fades fast, and our lives are back to the same as it was before. Even the richest people at the very top of the tax bracket, have plenty of potential for unhappiness because of this quality of humans. What's cool though, is whatever one's situation, they always have potential for happiness, too. Take Edwin, who even seemed eager to show off his little place. Which is the size of a tool shed here in Canada lol. On the other hand, it's probably this insatiable drive for more that has made humans so successful. On the other hand, it's probably this insatiable drive for more that has made humans so successful. I find it better to look at money as something that can remove stressors, and barriers in your life, rather than something used to acquire material possessions. Sounds so cliche to say this, but true happiness really does come from within. I was born 89, just turned 34. It's only in my late twenties up until now, that I fully realize why people say it all the time, and how true it is. Anyway, I can relate to your comment. It's hard to be happy sometimes, no matter how much you have. Deep down, I know the things I must do to fix my unhappiness. They are just... Hard, and I want to feel good now. Always been my problem, instant gratification over delayed gratification. Perhaps you also know what it is you must do to improve your life. My advice, though I'm not too much older than you, is to find the inner strength to just do those things. Don't put it off like "one day I will do all that". That's what everyone says. Life moves ever-quicker. Alright enough rambling out of me. I've had one or two too many to drink I think haha, cheers, from Canada.
Sounds like you have a bright future if you can recognize the importance of helping others and being grateful for what you have. Remember, when you give what you seek most, you will know true abundance. Be well friend.
I'm a 65 year old Navy veteran. Been following you for awhile. I've been depressed because I can't afford to go see my kids and grandkids. This video has lifted me up today. You operate on the love frequency and that is the frequency I hope to tap into before I depart this earth. Thank you for sharing Kurt.
You can tell Edwin has a peaceful heart through the interactions and relationships he keeps. For example greeting the sugar cane guy who he used to work for, the children, his brothers daughter and then at the end when he wanted to take Kurt back home to ensure he made it safe 😢! May love continue to shine through you Edwin 🤍
The amount of handshakes shows how they didn’t want to say goodbye. God bless al the people who donate(d) and of course also Kurt. He saw god in all of you who participated and he might just be right about that. This is wholesome.
Some people love seeing good things happen to good hearted people like the guy in the video. You should do this more often. That was such a sweet, and good hearted gesture. ❤️
I love the way he doesn't ask for anything from him, like he would have been happy to sit and watch him eat. Him trying his first burger was so wholesome
I'm sure Edwin will do everything to follow his father's inspiration. Probably the best person to give a gift, he still wanted to help you get back to hotel.
18:35 When he said “Edwin” and he replied “yes”🙂after telling Kurt about his dad and his dream to be in the military, that touched my soul a little bit.. You can see the purity and just gentleness of this guy, he’s so nice and kind hearted. Kind of reminds me of myself when I was kid before I let society turn me cold, but not Edwin. He lives a life far harder then most but yet he keeps his light, he’s honestly a really pure person. He carries around that energy that’s almost child-like, no matter the situation or the problem he’s just carefree and doesn’t let anything kill his spirit😢 I really hope he becomes successful and rich in life cause he honestly deserves it.

Considering i live in Kenya and know what happens when people find out you have money, especially in the slums, i really hope this guy didnt lose it cause he certainly deserves it.
Edwin deserves every bit of good that comes his way, I could tell from the first video that he was a genuinely caring guy, he came with you and expected nothing, just smiled huge the whole time you were with him. Not to mention the fact that he wanted to personally drop you off where you were going even after receiving the money. I hope he takes that money and changes his life, I hope he reaches all of his dreams and has a long and happy life!
When Kurt says during breakfast about Edwin not knowing how to eat a burger. He says, “let them laugh, it’s for me.” Really struck a cord with me. After all who cares what anyone thinks of you or about you, all that matters is that inner peace of this is not for anyone but ME. Good energetic motto to live by… 🙏

Edwin reminds me of a young Indian guy I've met on the streets in Mumbai, India. He showed me around the slum areas upon where he lived. He wouldn't allow me to pay for anything, using the little bit of money he had for our cheap street food tour. In the end, I still gave him money ( which he was reluctant to take). As an African American tourist, he made me adore India and its people even more.

This got me thinking. The way Edwin smiles so much even when he has to live in these circumstances is so inspiring. Haha watching from Cape Town, South Africa and couldn't help laughing at 17:00 when Edwin pointed to his bed and Kurt was like "That's where you bring the ladies huh" lmao. Edit: I kept thinking Kurt may make the mistake of giving Edwin the money in public like at the Cafe or on the bus and that would not be wise. But I am glad he gave Edwin the money at his house. You really made the guy's day. And that was so wonderful that you were humbled enough to go into such a difficult neighborhood like Edwin's.

Edwin is the best person to represent Kenya, even in his living conditions he never asked for a free handout but to help out a stranger, He works for every he has, and I hope continues success.
It felt really good to see Edwin receive this money. $1,000 isn't a lot for people in a lot of parts of the world, but from the video you get an idea what things cost in Kenya, and what he pays for rent. $1,000 is significant, and I believe it can really make a difference for Edwin. I wish it could have been even more, but I hope Edwin uses it wisely.
How good a person you really are. You are a human being at the top of morals and modesty. I congratulate you for this generosity. I live in Kenya. would be absolutely amazing to see you travel with Edwin and show him some of the places you’ve been able to see. loved the interaction with him trying a burger and you telling him not to be afraid to be laughed at. such a positive message.
@@JunkBondTraderthanks for this man. Love from South Africa 🇿🇦

And the moment a bus driver beeps him
The amount of handshakes shows how they didn’t want to say goodbye. God bless al the people who donate(d) and of course also Kurt. He saw god in all of you who participated and he might just be right about that. This is wholesome.
He just didn't know how to thank him
The smile on Edwin’s face when he’s was eating that burger has made my Christmas 🙏 what a bloody nice guy .

It was nice to see such a humble and genuinely nice person receive this gift. I wish Edwin all the best. Thank you for the video Kurt.

Damn nearly made me tear up when his face lit up seeing the money. Lives with next to nothing and yet never complains or asks for handouts. Admirable
I'm sure Edwin will do everything to follow his father's inspiration. Probably the best person to give a gift, he still wanted to help you get back to hotel.

Edwin is an awesome guy, hope he gets somewhere nicely!
