CFMoto are not what you would call newbies to motorcycle manufacture, here in Australia they have been around for 15-20 years. They have earned a reputation for for good reliable good quality machines. If KTM is happy to have them manufacture their engines for them that say a lot about the respect they earned. So I'll be one of the first in line for a 450MT, you're right this is a big deal!
I have a Versys 300 and i love the weight and size, but I am really excited about the Ibex 450, it really is - on paper - everything i would like to see in my 300. I am certainly ready to upgrade to the 450 if this model is what they say it is.
Yes CFMOTO is Chinese brand and people have concerns about it at first but after seeing all of those reviews on internet, I have to say it looks very promising. Insta 360 and DJI are Chinese brand too and people love them.
Cool, thank you for your insight mate. Somewhere around the end of March I will have the opportunity to test this CFMoto beauty in Poland and can’t wait to check what it got. I ride daily Yamaha Tenere 700 so it will be very interesting experience. Cheers!
Everyone can doubt or not buy CFMOTO motorcycles, but they cannot oppose or prevent the arrival of CFMOTO, because only competition will produce new things, whether it is price reduction or the launch of new models, it is always beneficial to consumers.
This is interesting and i agree with your points the ibex 450 is the sweet spot for power, look, features and sound. Would love to see you do some more bike reviews like the scout bobber, versys, nightster etc...
Thanks for watching! As riding season approaches, I will probably not be cooped up inside as much - I'm going to try to get back to creating motorcycle reviews and getting test rides in to back them up. I will sprinkle in a few commentary videos along the way though! Ride safe. 😎
Oh man, I could go on and on about this lol. I saw the different spokes video and couldn’t agree more about Chinese products. The Japanese started off the same way and now are world renowned for quality. I also agree with you about the Japanese companies not caring what customers want. Example: Suzuki gave us a 505lbs off road touring bike. That market is completely saturated and very few will purchase the vstrom 800DE. Instead, they could have modernized the DR650 and brought back the DR Raid 650 from the 90’s. Then there’s Kawasaki that half assed the KLR. They could have given it a smaller, more powerful modern single and made the bike lighter. But the argument is that it can’t be done because of emission laws yet Ducati just released a single with 78hp. And Kawasaki is trying to tell us they can’t make a 600cc with 55hp? lol. Yamaha won’t make a lighter, smaller displacement tenere because ya know, pole terras. And then of course the biggest disappointment of them all, Honda with them badge swapping the CB500X to the nx500. What a waste. The nx650’s from the 90’s is basically the motorcycle everyone is asking for right now. A sub 400lbs off roader that can handle road duty and be a comfortable commuter. They could have done a ground up NX 5 something with 60hp that was off road worthy and crushed the KLR, Tenere, the ibex and all the others but instead we got a 460lbs transalp…. End rant.
Very nicely done. I have been looking for a light weight, mid size engine adv bike for a while now but there is really nothing that fits the bill. I do have the Rally 300, it's awesome but I had to spend $2000 plus to fix the bubble gum suspension, address the terrible off idle fueling (I have Euro 5 ECU), modify the slipper clutch that is way less durable then the old 250. No charging port, no rack, no passing light switch (I ride in Indonesia, it's required as the drivers here are horrible). Honda and the rest, just does not give a sh*t I guess. The Ibex 450 has it all.......I have CFMOTO little Papio SS, the quality, fit finish, materials, controls feel and all the little features are great. All for $2400 here in sunny Indonesia. I am getting one.
Every interaction helps and if my disguise encourages people to comment, then all the more reason to keep the lid on. It is mostly schtick 😅 That said, at 20K subscribers I will be taking the helmet off for a face reveal. 😎 Thanks for watching and ride safe!
Sold my 390adv in anticipation of the 450MT. Got my name on one in the first shipment coming into NZ. If the big players dont want to make what we all asking for we have to move to the "new" guys and hopefully the established brands wake up and realise they are letting their customers down
Dang, I hope this bike is the answer, cause the 390ADV really is the only thing coming close for the segment IMO. Wishing all the best for your Ibex! Thanks for watching.
I hope that the CFMtot MT 450 spurs and Japanese and Euro manufacturers on to introduce similar models. I would have three concerns about CFMoto, one, reliability, two, dealer support network, and three, aftermarket product availability. Personally I would wait a few years to see how it develops before jumping into it.
I agree I have a CRF 300 rally it’s a great bike but it’s slowly boring me to death. like so many others I want a small cheap 40+hp adventure / rally bike. The fact that the MT has a proven 270 twin and tubeless tires and all the technology has really pushed it over and the line for me. At less than 10kAU it can afford to be a little overweight. I will certainly have a look as soon as they are available in Australia.
The only thing that turns me off about this bike is the blue bike and white fairing combo. I've riden (and raced) on and off road on several continents over 55 plus years. This 450mt is exactly what I have been looking for since the early 70's. I've owned CFMOTO products in the past and they always did what I asked of them. Where it is built doesn't matter if it is a quality product. I'd ride a Russian bike if it met my standards (their weapons sure do) so the Xenophobic wannabee riders can "stuff it".
The Versys X300 owners and on lookers have been asking for a Versys X400 since 2020. Kawasaki will now see its market share disappear as the IBEX and others with a 450 - 500cc ADV bikes destroy the sales on the X300 and probably the KLR650 as well as the KLR650 has been around for decades. Many 400 - 500 offerings are taking off. I also wish to have these small/mid ADV designs to get the exhaust out from under the bike. More like a dirt bike. As the exhaust and filter are right behind the front tires and susceptible to damage and the also under the engine kills ground clearance. Kawasaki - where are you????
It's great to see a comment from someone who actually owns and rides a Versys 300! By no means is it a bad bike, but as you said, consumers have been expressing interest in a more capable machine somewhere between the Versys 300 and the KLR 650 - I hope Kawasaki provides an answer in this segment. Thanks for watching! Ride safe. 😎
Hey Omni man, a bit of a delay with this one, sorry. Thanks for your energy, enthusiasm & mystery 😎 Can wait for your summer to hit to see shadow man again! Hope all is well? I’m stumped bro! I’ve pre-ordered one should be here in late March/ early April. Damn, 2 shipments here in Aus are completely sold out. Next deliveries in June/July. I’m struggling between the 450MT & the 450NK🤔 Should I just get both? Cheers dude🤙
Steve, my guy! Better late than never. It's wild how many people are still speculating on the brand, but sales numbers are strong enough to sell out 2 shipments down unda! Absolutely mad that. All is well on this side. Just trying to figure out what my first test ride of 2024 is going to be. It's a real downer my current dealership partner isn't a CF dealer. We'll just have to find other ways! Thanks for watching. P.S. The MT and the NK would look so good next to each other, it would almost be criminal to not get both. 😂
I hate to always chime in on CFMoto 450 content but I think folks out there need to know that these bikes are hard to buy in my area (southeast US) at a decent price, I've seen OTD prices on the 450NK (which I own as well as the SS) of $8,200, the retail price of the NK is $5400. That being said, they're fantastic bikes, my NK is having some issues, hope they'll be addressed at the first service. If they'll give me a decent trade-in, I'll trade my NK for the Ibex but can't see that happening.
@@alexandrucosmin90 I am replacing my rear tire, new one should be here any day, my SS has an out-of-round tire but it's not that bad, my NK is way worse, feels like the axle is loose, put it on a stand and you can see it, mostly on the right side, tires are somewhat cheap and easy to replace so not a big deal, my big issue is the clutch or transmission on my NK, I suspect it's the clutch, it will barely downshift without revving the motor, I've adjusted everything, changed the oil to no avail, I've owned over 100 motorcycles in the last 35 yrs so I'm not a beginner, plus worked many yrs in the industry, not a huge deal but something isn't right with it, I usually do give it a rev to downshift but this thing feels like there is gravel in the transmission so I don't know what's going on with it, I do have the SS like I mentioned and it shifts really well.
@@alexandrucosmin90 Awesome, I'll still get the Ibex, too nice to pass up, they have a good warranty, just buy from a competent dealer, my dealer crossthreaded my seat bolts bad when servicing the bike so I'm skeptical
CFmoto is no longer a Made in China brand anymore after their joint venture with KTM was signed. For e.g their Bikes after the Joint Venture are designed by Kiska, a European company.
Its ok for peeps to think China = Bad. Afterall your money your choice & no one is forcing anyone to buy anything. Just dont do the politics thingy & then be hypocrite. If one is going to wean of Chinese products, then wean off all Chinese products or otherwise, you are a fake & a hypocrite. Personally I've been thinking the Kove 450 rally but this new CFmoto 450mt has my attention as well. Plus its lower pricing doesnt hurt either. Hope it does well so we have lots of options for accessories & such
People can certainly think for themselves in whatever way they would like, but I will continue my efforts in painting the CFMOTO brand in a positive light, because so far they have proven themselves a worthy contender in the world of powersports globally. If consumers can benefit from low prices, awesome features, and factory supported warranty, I feel confident in my endorsement for a brand that does not pay me to endorse them. Thanks for a great comment and watching the video! Ride safe. 😎
looks cool. chinese design, copying all the proven visual stereotypes from bigger brands. the only questionable part is the headlight, looks like a totem or something like that, imo. :) I expect problems with durability though. take a look at the rims for example. do they look convincing and assuring a long life offroad? I wouldn't say so.
Aesthetically there is only so much you can do within the silhouette of what an adventure motorcycle is supposed to look like, aside from each brand's take on small details like headlight, tank shape, seat, color, etc. You said you expect problems with durability, but I'm not sure what you're basing that on. The rims (I assume you mean the entire wheel and not just the rim) appear to be a standard set of spoked wheels, and I don't understand why you think they look unconvincing about being able to hold up over time. Real-world tests and time will tell us better than speculative guesses. Thanks for watching. Ride safe.
